I purchased a humidifier because the Northern air gets so dry, and then running heaters in the winter time, compounds the matter even worse. Did you know that experts have proven that, if the air gets too dry, you can get sick easier? I feel so much better when I humidify the air, I breath easier, and sleep easier as well. Plus, if the air gets too dry, you can also shock yourself on everything in your home, thats usually an indicator that your humidity is bellow 30%. I also purchased a humidity meter from the acurite brand, as I like to know where my humidity levels are at all times. Just for reference, if you can keep your humidity levels around 40% to 50% MAX, you will live happier.I have owned this humidifier for 2-years now, and I can tell you right now, that longevity is pretty good so far. I bought this for large rooms, so that I have the output if necessary. The resovoir holds up to 1-gallon of water, and its really easy to fill. Just lift the container off the base, flip it over, remove the fill cap, fill all the way up, replace cap, put container back down onto base. On the first use, you will see lots of bubbles, while the water fills up the base resovoir where the transducer is located, that creates the ultra sonic vaporization.This unit comes with two nozzles. The directional nozzle, and the 2-way nozzle. Use the directional nozzle when placing this unit near a wall, you obviously don’t want to shoot water vapor into your wall. When used in an open space where there is at least 3 feet all around the unit, use the 2-way nozzle to get higher flow. Additionally, the on/off knob also controls the flow amount. Depending on how bad the humidity is, use 50% to 75% flow, for small rooms. For use in large rooms, maintain 100% flow unless water begins to form around the unit and surface it is on, then back off on the flow.This is why I highly recommend the use of a humidity meter. I like being able to know where my humidity is at all times. I do not want to exceed 50%, as it will get far too humid. But I also don’t want to drop bellow 30%, and would rather keep it at a happy 40% medium. Its also nice having the meter cause in the summer time, we don’t want humidity, so I can pay attention to what the humidity is doing, while I run the 2-AC units. Also, this unit has a LED light mode, up to three colors can be chosen, and can be turned on by pressing the touch sensor button, just above the flow control knob.I do wish that the max flow had a higher rate then it does, and a higher push into the air. However, for what it does do, I am pretty happy with it. This unit is also fairly easy to clean as well. I use filtered water from a Britta jug, so the deposits don’t get too bad. If you use tap water, you will only breath disgusting water vapor, and will lesson the life of your unit, making cleaning more difficult. Using filtered water, I only really need to do a rinsing once a week, and a cleaning of the transducer, with the included brush. And a final cleaning with 1-cup distilled white vinegar with mostly water solution, before putting up for storage.Keep the unit clean and you should have no problems. I highly recommend it, 5-STARS!UPDATE Jan 7th 2019!I wanted to give everybody an update on how this humidifier is doing. It is now 3-years old, and it is still working! I know, hard to believe, when we know how quickly things die these days due to planned obsolescence. I have the humidifier running right now infact, as after the rains stopped again, the humidity went down to 34%, and I decided to start humidifying. The unit is still in pretty good condition, I do have some discoloration within the transducer area due to wear, I don’t think much can be done about that besides a straight vinegar cleaning.Speaking of which, I have run a 1-cup vinegar to full tank of water in the tank to clean it out. I just let it sit for 30-minutes, and then cleaned it out. Now, if the deposits that form that yellow gooyness is really bad, the vinegar treatment will at least break it up to make it loose its bond, then you can fish a paper towel through inside the hole to clean off the bottom inside of the tank. Again I can’t stress enough how important it is to use filtered water.Companies advertisements always lie to consumers making them think they can use tap water. Sure, but if your tap water is hard water like ours, it will dirty up your humidifier so darn fast, you’ll be cleaning it every day! At least filtered water, such as that from a Britta jug container, will at least extend your cleaning times to once per week, and then at least 1 or 2 vinegar cleanings per year of use. Cleaning is important with this product for your health, as you want to breath clean moisture in the air, but don’t cause yourself unnecessary labor by using tap water please.The humidifier is still able to push out its full power as it did in the first 2-years of use. One thing I’ve noticed over the years is, the colder the water is, the longer it takes to get going. We keep our Britta jug in the fridge, cause I don’t like to drink room temperature water, and when the freshly cold water runs in the machine, it takes time for it to build up the moisture vapor till its going full strength. But this machine does a really good job in bringing up the humidity in the room.One of the things I like about it as well, is that its efficient on power consumption. Since were using a lot of electricity running space heaters, since its winter and all, I am grateful for the low consumption of the unit. Anytime you have a heating device, it uses a lot of power. Its just one of the reasons why I don’t like steam based humidifiers, cause your running elements in there that draw a lot of power. And cold running humidifiers, use transducers, which generate ultrasonic vibrations, which vaporizes the water instead, while a onboard fan, pushes the vapor out.I still highly recommend this humidifier and I keep the rating at 5 out of 5!

At last I can actually BREATHE (literally!!) a HUGE sigh of relief! We simply couldn’t be more delighted with this Humidifier!It definitely seems like the rest of the world was enlightened while I was kept in the dark about the fact that numb toes, chattering teeth and the flu are not necessarily the most perilous part of winter!I recently moved to New York from Florida. I was beyond excited to experience the 4 seasons, despite knowing that I might have to dig my way out of 2 ft of snow at times, and the dangers of blizzards and black ice.However, what NO ONE prepared me for was this DREADFULL DRYNESS that lasts HALF A YEAR and makes me feel literally like HALF A HUMAN! I’m NOT kidding.Seriously, how do people FUNCTION? As soon as the cold set in I began waking up with a terrible thirst and dryness. My tongue felt like sandpaper against the roof of my mouth and my voice could barely croak in the morning. My nose was somehow wet and stuffed, yet dry and burning all at once! (Blowing my nose just caused a nosebleed!) My eyelids literally pasted to my eyeballs and if by some miraculous chance, despite feeling like this, I DID wake up feeling cheery enough to grin…. I daren’t allow the slightest smile to stretch across my lips lest they sprout half a dozen bloody cracks!! OUCH. And EWWW. What the hell???!!!But the worst was still waking up all cotton brained and headachy! Copious amounts of coffee didn’t do a darn thing to lift the fog so I could function! I was feeling so terrible I began thinking I was suffering from depression. I never felt so awful in my life!Then my 3 year old came down with a really nasty cold that left a lingering dry cough lasting about a week after all the other symptoms were gone. Maddeningly persistent at night, it would simply disappear without a trace in the morning. It was really hard to watch her suffer so much! She’d wake herself up as her whole body wracked with these coughs! I was seriously at the brink of my sanity!!! Every night I’d swear that I’d be at the Doctors office first thing in the morning and every morning she woke up “all better” so no need! After one nightly coughing attack caused her to VOMIT I got my fat a$$ to the Pediatrician because by then I was really alarmed.Doctor was cool as a cucumber “Welcome to winter and I’m willing to bet you guys have central heat at home…” Well, I sure do! It was the BEST perk of our new apartment not having to worry about the kids touching radiators! Who knew it only aggravated this winter dry air situation?! Who knew there WAS a winter dry air situation?! Not me! That’s for sure!He suggested getting a Humidifier and I was sure I heard wrong! I use a DE-humidifier so that my clothes could dry faster than it could start smelling of mold if I hung it to dry indoors!We got a decent Humidifier actually that we THOUGHT was effective and we were happy with (even though it leaked! I thought that was just part of it!)……Until it broke after a few weeks and the company refused to send us a new oneL! After being stiffed once, I did some research and settled on the AquaOasis. Had some awesome reviews, looked sleek and strong, and loved that it has a built in self filtering feature. (And boy, it even passed my husband’s curiosity test. Happens to be an electrician and has this thing with electronics! 🙄Anyway, the price was well worth it and this operates in virtual silence! I literally need to put my ear to the machine to hear a soft low hum… Nothing like the grating ruckus of my previous one!Been using this for a few weeks and simply couldn’t be happier! I feel sooo much better! My daughters cough is totally gone and I wake up feeling well rested, invigorated and ALIVE! Headaches are gone, my eyeballs aren’t in a “sticky relationship” with my eyelids anymore and I’m not scared my lips’ll “pop” if I laugh by mistake!! I feel so exhilarated, so alive…so, well…HUMIDIFIED!! It sounds cliché but it’s TRUE!!!!!! Best investment ever!….AND…. I saved the best part for last here …. Do you know what THE FREAK’N HELL I DISCOVERED folks??! My Psoriasis and eczema improved so dramatically that I came right back here to buy one for my mom who suffers from eczema too! I tell you these Humidifiers are the BEAST!Anyway, will keep you posted if anything changes but so far so good! I really like this humidifier. I’ve have many over the last couple of years. They only last a short time before needing replacement for one reason or another. The last one cost about the same as this one, but it had many features: Could set the time, humidity level, level of mist and so on. It was also quiet. But, after a few months it would stop working in the middle of the night. So. I found this one. It is extremely quiet. Can adjust the mist level, it has auto shut off when it runs out of water. You have to manually turn it off if it doesn’t run out of water. That’s a down side. The other downside is it doesn’t have a handle to carry the unit when you need to refill. Other unit I had, had a handle was quite convenient. For the money they charge for this, they could easily figure out how to put a handle on it.Haven’t had to clean it yet, but it looks rather simple. I would highly recommend this humidifier if you don’t mind putting out the larger amount of money for a machine without the bells and whistles. I wanted one that worked for a L O N G time without having to spend more money for replacement. I hope this is it. I haven’t had to interact with the seller, so can’t comment other than I received my unit very quickly. Good luck.***After writing that review**** I am returning this unit and not replacing it. After rinsing it and refilling and returning it to the table in my bedroom in the morning. When I was getting ready for bed, the unit had leaked water all over the tabletop and some of my paperback books are ruined. Anyway, I took it and emptied the reservoir and replaced it on the table. Turned on the unit and it worked, motor ran and it put out a good mist. During the early morning after its running at least 4-5 hours-my dogs got me up, The unit had stopped making mist, but the motor was still running and there was water all over the table again. Not messing around with it, just returning it and getting my money back. As I said for a extremely basic humidifier it is over priced.******

Overall, I really do like this product. I truly enjoy the humidification this product provides. I have had a couple of issues with the product. However, the company has always reached out and resolved the issue. Thus, company support for the product is outstanding.

I have searched and searched for the perfect humidifier for my bedroom. After reading the positive reviews of this one, I ordered it. It is awesome! I love that it is top fill. I will be able to get into every nook and cranny to clean it, and it’s super super quiet! I also appreciate that it doesn’t have an annoying bright light on it anywhere!! The most important thing is that I can adjust how much moisture comes out of the top. I have used it a few nights now and I’m not waking up choking with my mouth and throat being so dry and stuck together. Great product and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a humidifier to put beside their bed at night during the winter. You will not be disappointed! Oh, by the way…I use water right out of the faucet. I am not spending tons of money on special kinds of water and worrying about not having it or running out. I have always used water out of my faucet for humidifiers. I have well water and have had it tested.

I was skeptical but it’s a good device. I hope everyone is having a similar experience. It is keeping a big area at 55-60%. I would be constantly refilling a smaller one. This thing lasts a day or so, with some left, before I refill it. I have it at full power. Then sensor is working great to keep it working. I have a few comments but they are recommendations. First they need an LED in the tank, wired on the electronics part, reuse a button to turn on and off for refilling. Also a sensor along the pump hose an inch under the max line to let you know its getting full. Otherwise i like it. Best to get an 18 to 20 inch square base for catching any water spills.

It’s very quiet, has adjustable steam level and one tank will last about 3 to 5 nights which is better than the other humidifier I got and returned. However, I find filling the tank really awkward. You fill it from the bottom so you need to turn it over and set it on a surface. Unfortunately, the top is much narrower than the bottom so you have to somehow hold on to it (awkward shape to do this) while picking up a jug of distilled water to pour into the narrow hole. This is not easy 🙁 Otherwise I like everything else about it and it did help get rid of the headaches and nose bleeds I get on cold dry nights. So I highly recommend it; just wish it was easier to fill up.

I purchased this because the one I really wanted was out of stock with no restock date. I was pleasantly pleased with this. I only have 2 minor complaints: 1. I wish the reservoir detached from the mechanical part of the humidifier, 2: the vent pushed the cool mist very high, I would like a more downward and/or level release. I does move in a 180 circle but the direction is still very high.

After unpackaging the unit I plugged it in, filled it with water, connected the vesync app, set up a schedule and boom – – done! It defaulted to auto mode and 40% humidity level so I was good to go. I’ve only had it one night but it was during our So Cal santa ana winds so the humidity was 20%. We sleep with the windows open so it tried to get to 40% but stayed around 30%. Good enough though cuz I could feel the moist air from the unit. It would probably work a lot better with the windows closed so I don’t fault the unit for trying. I’ll update the review once I’ve used it for a few weeks but right now I think it’s a winner!

This humidifier is very sleek. It is also super quiet and mists well.It is a little awkward replacing the tank after filling it as I have to turn it upside down to fit it back to the base. I will get used to it.Even at the lowest setting, the water in the full tank does not last as long as I was led to believe.Other than that, this a very good humidifier. The makers even promise to send replacement parts if a purchaser needs it.

I consider this humidifier a good purchase; however, there are some caveats.First the Pro’s:(1) It is almost silent, even at the highest output level. I have never owned a more silent ultrasonic humidifier, so this is a treat!(2) It is easy enough to clean, with few “impossible” nooks and crannies.(3) sleep mode (which turns the output on auto up to 50% humidity) works as expected at night.(4) it is easy to operate with just the buttons – no need to use the app.I don’t use the app, aroma diffuser, or night light, so I can’t comment on those features.Now Cons:(1) I had a powerhouse of a humidifier prior to this one – an Air O Swiss before the company was bought out by Boneco. I still miss that one greatly. It output mist like an illegally-opened fire hydrant in the summertime. Before buying this humidifier, I didn’t do my research and mistakenly relied on the size of the tank to indicate whether I thought it would humidify my living room adequately. Both this one and my Air O Swiss are a similar capacity in the water tanks. However, the Levoit struggles in my livingroom to get the humidity past 40% when the radiator is blasting on a cold day (no ability to control the heat output where I live). My living room area is about 400 sqft. The description for this humidifier makes it seem like it should be able to handle a room this size. They clearly did not count on NYC apartment heating. If you are in the same situation as me where you can’t control the heat output and they are blasting it, this humidifier is only good for the bedroom. For the living room, you really want something with a mist output that is double or triple the output of this one. I am considering the Levoit LV600S for this reason – mist output is 300ml/h for cold mist and 550ml/h for warm mist. For comparison, my current Levoit humidifier outputs mist at 135mL/hr. I should have paid attention to these numbers from the start. Learn from my mistake!(2) Although this humidifier is much easier to clean than my old humidifier, it still does have a few “impossible” nooks and crannies that a small bottle brush and the tiny (included) brush can’t reach. Those areas are permanently discolored with use. This is minor and something I am willing to live with.(3) The hygrometer on the humidifier is often 7 to 10 degrees more generous than reality. I have found hygrometers on humidifiers to be inaccurate across all the different brands I’ve owned, so I just ignore the humidity number altogether. I have independent hygrometers in every room of my apartment. However, if you are relying ONLY on the hygrometer on this device to assure yourself that you are at the healthy 40% to 60% humidity range, do yourself a favor and get some independent hygrometers. Your nose will thank you.

I bought this because my boyfriend was having issues waking up with dry eyes and dry mouth. I like having the fan blowing on me but it was affecting him. I bought this one specifically because of the dial instead of buttons. We already had a smart plug lying around so I set it to the level I want and then used the smart plug to add it to our alexa routines for bedtime making it a smart device without the upcharge. It works great. The cool mist doesn’t heat up the room at night and it’s super quiet. The way I know it’s on is from the click of the smart plug turning on. I wish we didn’t have to fill it so much but we also didn’t want a super big one cause of the lack of space so give and take. Overall this is a nice little humidifier and my boyfriend sleeps better with it.

From my experience in the north east of good ole US of A, everything dries out in the winter due to fireplaces, wood stoves and conventional HVAC units. To offset all the repercussions, this unit works great in a medium size room- approximately 15×20.If just a couple hours you can feel the difference. We bought the water soluble oils too and it helps open up the dried out sinuses. I use this unit for my music room too to quell the drying out of my wooden instruments. It is easy to use too and takes less than 30 sections to fill up. It has a pretty blue night light for your children’s rooms. I recommend this product for all those who have cold winters and/or problems with things drying out.

Love that I can run it for days without refilling and when I do refill, it’s super easy. Keeps my large living room and dining room nicely humidified. Usually this time of year, I can’t turn on a light switch without getting shocked by static electricity. Not now, this humidifier has eliminated the shocks as well as the dry, itchy skin that happens this time of year. Recommended to my friends and family

I live in the South West of the U.S.A. – it is very dry and lots of static most of the year. This super size humidifier holds 4.5 gallons of water. Design is efficient and foot print small. Works fantastic! The remote control has all the necessary features to get the best use out of product. Great looking also. Biggest plus for me is eliminating the static. I am totally satisfied with this purchase.
