I am a New York-based content writer, chef, part-time photographer, and recipe developer. On my free time, I scour the Internet for great deals on home appliances. I then writes comprehensive shopping guides on this website to help you find the right product for your budget and the best bargains.

  1. I have owned this product for less than 24 hours as of this writing. More updates as I have more to say/remember to do them. Also, I will be very verbose, the sort of in-depth information I want when I am researching products over $99 for purchase, so you really know what’s going on. Hopefully it helps, but it may be TL;DR for some.My background: I am not a smoker and never have been. I was raised by a chain smoker and have spent the majority of my life around second hand smoke from parents, family and friends. I have stress induced asthma and have also been through experimental chemotherapy that has apparently permanently damaged my lungs. Over time, my lungs are slowly degrading, and as they do I become more and more sensitive to more and more things, which trigger my lungs to get irritated and produce phlegm to coat my lungs and prevent the irritation, which causes me to cough more and more over time. (It has been a lot of fun having this sort of lung disorder during the pandemic, let me tell you.)”Well, why don’t you see a doctor then?” you may reasonably ask. My experience with doctors in the past has consisted of watching both my mother and grandmother die with (no joke) 30+ prescriptions each all at once (with 3 to 5 doctors all prescribing simultaneously and admitting to me in private that A) they were not consulting with one another, and B) nobody on earth could possibly keep track of the side effects of so many prescriptions at once), and my uncle wasn’t far off that number when he died. I also have repeated personal experience with the medical industry that strongly supports my experience and belief that going to the doctor is going to be a financially insane choice (whether or not I have insurance) that I get little to nothing out of regardless. So I choose to avoid doctors and the medical/drug big business establishment like the plague whenever possible. When I realized recently that my lungs were noticeably irritated all the time when I was in my own home, but I was fine if I went outside, I decided it was time to step up my game. Enter this unit, which I researched before buying. My unit is brand new, not a returned unit. Upon turning it on, it told me that my air in all areas of the house tested was as good as it gets, with a reading of 001. This did not please me, because I know it’s nowhere near that good. So I did an update of the firmware to see if that would fix the issue, and it did. The new display read 005, which was significantly lower than I expected, but the unit reduced that to 3, then 2, then 1 relatively quickly.Within about 15 minutes, the air in my (door closed) office started to smell noticeably different. Lighter, cleaner, fresher, more neutral. I was surprised. I also noted that over the next few hours, my coughing decreased significantly as long as I stayed in my office. When bed time came, I put the unit in my bedroom and turned it on full blast with the doors closed while I went to the kitchen to have a snack. At first, the bedroom registered 5. The unit quickly brought it down to 1. I noted that my coughing increased when I was in parts of the house that had not had the benefit of this device to clean the air.Returning to my bedroom after my snack, I noted that once again, there was a nice difference in how the air smelled in my bedroom compared to my kitchen.Normally it takes me a while to stop coughing enough to fall asleep when I got to bed each night, but last night while there was still coughing before sleep, it was markedly less, which my girlfriend commented on today. This morning, I woke up to the pleasant realization that my lungs did not feel irritated for the first time in a long time. I hadn’t even realized how irritated my lungs were when I would usually awaken until it was gone.Moved the unit into my home office again, and turned it back on. It started at 5, and again rapidly cleaned the air until it was at 1. Then I began doing more experiments. I noted that when the AC kicks on, it goes from 1 to 2 or 3. When it turns off, the unit returns it to 1. When I open the door to my office, it goes to 2, and then back to 1 when I close it. When my cat walks into my office, it goes from 1 to 2 if I close the door after him, and stays there for as long as he is moving around. If I pet him, it goes to 3.Thinking this level of sensitivity was too good to be true, I decided to try further experiments. I closed my office door again, waited until it settled down, and sprayed some air freshener in my office. No change – it evaporated. Just as expected. Then I went down the hall and into my living room and lit a stick of natural compressed sandalwood powder incense. I returned to my office and closed the door. Within 2 minutes, this unit detected the incense in the air, rising to a 4-5-6 and then back to 3 when the AC turned off. The next AC cycle, it jumped into the teens, and then into the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s as the smoke got going during the next cycle. When the count hit 45, it turned the ring green and stepped the fan up a notch.I found that I could watch the numbers go up when the AC was on, and down when it was off. It got up to around 86 at one point, and the ring sometime before that turned orange and stepped the speed up another notch. Now that the incense has burned out, it’s dropping, with highs in the 50’s, and lows i the 20’s and cycling lower each time the AC kicks on again. It’s been interesting to see it power up and down to match the particulates in the air.Build quality seems good, but the bottom can come off easier than I’d like. A couple times now I have tried to lift it only to find that it had un-screwed and the bottom and filter were not lifted with the rest of the unit. Easily fixed in a second or less, but if the bottom had a bit of “click into place”, this would not happen when moving the unit.It is so quiet in sleep mode that last night when we went to bed, after I had it running on high for a few minutes while we had our snack before bed, that even three feet from it, my girlfriend could not tell if it was running and asked. This was with the AC not active. That’s pretty darned quiet. It also was no issue for me to handle, and I am extremely sensitive to sound when I am trying to sleep. The top two levels of fan speed are relatively loud, with the highest speed being louder than my AC when it’s kicked in. It is, however, the most smooth and beautiful white noise I have ever encountered, and I am an audio engineer. So far my experience with this is almost entirely good. Here;s what I don’t like.1. The bottom unscrews too easily. No big deal, but irksome.2. The sensor didn’t work when I got it until I updated the firmware, which forced me to download the app, sign up, and then give the app location permissions and blue tooth permissions. I also naturally had to sign it into my wifi network. I didn’t want to use the app, or give the app these permissions. The app, however, will not run without them. Ostensibly, it uses location data to give you a report on local 2.5um particulate levels in your area (which it does), but I don’t know what else it is being used for, and I don’t much like having my location tracked by Google and every other company on earth these days.So far so good. It appears that particulates in my house are probably not as much of an issue as what those particulates are made of, and that I need to be more focused on reducing VOCs in the air in my house. But so far this unit has helped me breathe significantly better, and I’m very happy with how well it works.

  2. I have used this for 5 months. I’ve used it 2.5 months in my 350 square foot bedroom, and another 2.5 months for my 650 square feet living room. Yes, I know this is rated for like 400 square feet, but here’s my review anyways. So here are the summary PROS and CONS, if you’d like to skip all the extensive details I will be going into…PROs:- Has auto sensors- Has quick timers on it that include 1h, 2h, 4h, and 8h- Has 4 fan levels- High CADR of 403, which means it is for large spaces and performs at 5x air changes per hour (ACH) at max of 403 sq ft.- Carries easily from room to room- Turn on/off display- Design/aesthetics- Price point with its features are incredibly competitive compared to products in the same exact level (as in, this would have been a lot more expensive because of its features)- Filters quite well- Keeps smoke and odor at bay- We love fan setting 2 to use for sleep- Vesync integration (Levoit’s app that controls everything by Levoit)- Alexa integration- Apple’s Home integration- Along this line, pretty sure it will connect with many other smart homes, like Google- Vesync app itself is probably in a whole other category of PROs because it’s actually really great- Vesync app tracks both indoor AND outdoor PM2.5, so you can see a history of air quality both inside and outside your house.- Vesync app lets you set up smart scenes from within the app, so you can program it to do anything when any condition is met- Vesync app has been frequently updating to be better and to support more, so there’s ongoing improvements beyond what I consider to be really great already.- No deceptive ads for this listing; it tells you exactly how many sq ft it covers based on industry standards of 5x air changes, and not based on 1x air change.CONs:- Doesn’t filter allergens as well as some other brands do, like Coway.- Another brand may be much better for people who suffer from pet allergens.- The bottom comes off sometimes when moving it around.- Vesync app does not always update air purifier immediately.- Vesync programming scenes can be finicky and not always work as intended.- Noise level on the highest setting is very loud (but so are pretty much ALL air purifiers set on highest).NEITHER Pros nor Cons:- Price of replacement filters (costs about $49.99/6-12 months)REVIEW:I REALLY wanted to love this air purifier. For the price, it had absolutely everything I wanted, especially the auto sensors and app integrations. It honestly did extremely well in almost all areas, except for the fact that as allergy-sufferers, this just did not work as well as I thought it would. My wife is the one who suffers from pet dander, pollen, and dust, and gets asthma from extremely bad air. For her, the air purifier didn’t make a difference at all. I’m pretty okay and just suffer the occasional seasonal allergies, so I couldn’t really tell if it was making a difference for me or not. All I could tell was that from the filters, I could see that fur and dust was getting sucked up. When I cleaned it every month, it collected a lot of stuff. So that’s good! On that note though, no, air purifiers are not meant for fur and won’t help with fur. I used to think air purifiers helped keep the fur at a minimum, but nope, doesn’t help at all. I have a husky… I still gotta vacuum every day cuz the fur is still everywhere. Anyways, the purifier would also automatically kick on when we fried food in the house or stir fried anything on a skillet. On very rare occasions, the forest fire smoke would come all the way from the next state over and the purifier would sense this smoke and also kick on. I was very happy with that. I tried this Levoit’s air purifier for a total of 5 months. 2.5 months in my 350 square foot bedroom, and another 2.5 months in my 650 square foot living room. It worked pretty much the same in both areas. I couldn’t tell much of a difference at all. However, I also tried Coway’s Airmega AP-1512HH for the same amount of time. I alternated between these two air purifiers for 2.5 months at a time in the bedroom and living room as well (total of 5 months). And Coway’s air purifier was the one that actually made a difference for my allergies. For my wife, it only helped a little, but for me, I could tell a difference in as little as 10-15 minutes when Coway’s was turned on high. Even though the Airmega was rated for 350 square feet, it still made a difference in my 650 square feet living room. The airflow on this thing is amazing as well; I could feel it’s airflow on high from across the room! I have so many good things to say about Coway’s Airmega, but the huge tradeoff is that it isn’t Wi-fi enabled. Levoit’s Wi-fi capabilities plus the app made such a big difference in convenience and scheduled cleanings, that I really wanted to hate Coway’s Airmega. I can’t, however, deny that Coway’s helped my allergies. One day after coming home from an incredibly windy day out, we both started feeling increasingly stuffier (with headaches and migraines coming on) as the evening came to a close downstairs in the living room where the Levoit air purifier was. The sensor on the Levoit shows the air was still excellent, so we just thought we were exhausted from being outside for too long. We did not take any meds. We just headed upstairs to go to bed, where the Coway air purifier was. Pretty much in 15-20 minutes with Coway purifier on high, our stuffiness eased and we could finally breath without straining, and our headaches and migraines lifted. Like magic. Allergy meds don’t even work that fast sometimes. That was probably one of the very few times that we could actually compare the two air purifiers because it made such a huge difference. All the other days, our air upstairs and downstairs were usually both very equal and neither purifiers made much difference (to the point that made me feel like air purifiers are just myths sometimes, but obviously isn’t).So, after 5 months of trying BOTH these products where both have very similar CADR, I came to the conclusion that I will be sticking the Levoit in an area that has the least traffic since it doesn’t help much for allergy-sufferers. As a purifier for smoke and odor, this is actually a pretty good one though. When I cook and this turns on, my house smells less – although it doesn’t completely eliminate the smell. In fact, neither the Coway nor the Levoit was able to completely eliminate smells (but that was not my concern at all). The best thing about the Levoit, and I feel is the biggest selling point, is that it’s Wifi-enabled for an amazing price. The app is so dang good and useful that you can set this to turn on 4 times a day at 1 hour every time (or however many times a day for however many hours you want!), or control it from across the world, or set it to turn on and clean the air right before you come home. It is so handy! Plus, it works really well with Alexa. And the auto sensors do actually work really well.At the end of the day though, my purpose for buying this were for allergies. Coway won in the area of purifying enough to help allergy-sufferers and auto-sensing. I don’t know how, but the sensors on the Coway are much more sensitive than Levoit’s; so sensitive, that opening a door activates Coway’s, while Levoit’s sensors tells me that the air quality is still excellent. Now, I wasn’t here to review Coway at all, but I couldn’t give a review of Levoit’s air purifier without comparing the two. Looking at other people’s reviews about how Levoit’s air purifier helped with their allergies and such though, made me feel like either I got a defective device from Levoit, or our allergies are actually much more severe than the regular folks with allergies. Anyways, given that Levoit gave me no relief from my somewhat allergies in comparison to the other brand that I bought and tried at the same time, I will admit that I would probably not buy Levoit’s purifiers for myself ever again. If I had a friend that just needed something to keep the air clean and somewhat help with odors, AND really wanted one that’s Wifi-enabled, I’d definitely recommend this though. The app is a game-changer, and should be given an award – it’s so good and it’s always being updated; Levoit has a ton of Wi-fi-enabled products as well and all controlled with this one app. In fact, I have a Levoit humidifier, AND I also have a different small Levoit purifier for the cat’s bathroom that works extremely well too when it comes to keeping the odor at bay (so Levoit for fighting odors seems to be working pretty well in that department). Both are Wi-fi-enabled and just a game-changer. I just wish Levoit’s purifier for my living room worked better for allergies as well, but sadly, this model just didn’t and couldn’t. Pretty disappointed.ENERGY CONSUMPTION:Auto Mode: 4w – ?Sleep Mode: 3wFan Speed 1: 5wFan Speed 2: 8wFan Speed 3: 15wFan Speed 4: 35wProduct’s Rated Power from product’s website: 38w

  3. Great product! Purifies the air and looks chic in your home. When/after you replace the filter, you may need to hold the power button for 7 seconds to get light to stop blinking. I called customer service and the helped me out and were super nice!

  4. I have never been a person to suffer with any kind of allergies. But as I get older, I notice certain things changing in my body. First in my eyes. I developed some sort of an allergic reaction to something in the air in my home, mostly in my bedroom. It was almost impossible to watch television without getting stabbing burning and tearing of my eyes. I tried every drop on the market. None of them work too well at least for a very long time. Then I decided to try this air scrubber. I’ve had it for over a week, running on high During the day when I’m not in the bedroom. At night we turn it down to low and keep it there throughout the night. I haven’t had a tear, an itch or a burn in my eyes since I started doing this. I just ordered two more for other areas of my home. I highly recommend this product. It’s quiet, the air appears to be nice and fresh in my bedroom now and I am very very happy with it. I would suggest it to anybody who is suffering with the same type of respiratory or eye conditionUpdate: as prestated I ordered an additional two units for my home. I placed one in my family room and one in my formal living room. That adds to the one I have in my bedroom. These units are remarkable. They are quiet, they are powerful, and they are designed to fit in well with the contents of the room they’re in. Each unit scrubs about 1000 ft.² of air. This house is 3600 ft.². I personally have not had an instance where I’ve been uncomfortable with my eyes, breathing, and general well-being since installation. When we are not home I run them on the turbo setting. When we are home I turn them to a lower setting. This is working out quite well. I strongly suggest this product to anyone who has the same condition that I have. I am sure, being a physician, that this would be advantageous for people with respiratory problems due to allergies and other various conditions.

  5. Worked great if your cat litter stinks

  6. I must first say hoe impressed I am over this product. I cannot believe how effective it is.I live in an area that alot of burning is done and the air is hazy and toxic it hurts your lungs. This air purifier when I first turned it on was in the high 30S on the air quality indicator. At first, I thought this thing was not good because it stayed in the 30S for hours more than 3-4. I went to bed and woke up and saw it was blue to my surprise. I could also tell by the smell of the air. I have the machine on high fan and the house fan running to recirculate all the air in my house.I must say HOW IMPRESSED I AM. 7. I have a bunch of dogs who bring in a ton of very fine sand that’s instant dust and also constantly ditch a boatload of fur. I’ve had a few air cleaners and this one is by far the best. On durability the jury is still out, because I’ve been using it only since May, 5 months. My Honeywell drum cleaner has been running daily for 5 years, still going strong. A Colzen quit after about 18 months. But this giant definitely sucks out a huge amount of dust. It runs 24/7 at the highest level and about 20 feet away its just a low level, white noise hum. I vacuum clean the filters 5-7 days and they are always full. The air quality still stays in the blue or green, so I was a bit skeptical about the air quality sensing ability. What blew me away was when I burned some holes into plastic buckets with a soldering iron right next, but above, to the air purifier. Within 10 seconds the light went to red and the count shot up to way over 900. Holy cow! Even though it was unplanned I was so glad I was working right next to the air purifier. Within about 10 minutes the light was back to blue and the count down to below 10 again. I repeated the process on another bucket and the same thing happened, so it wasn’t a fluke.I’m definitely impressed with this work horse and if it holds up for 5 years or more it’s an all around champion.

  8. We use to have another brand of purifiers around the house. There was no air quality indicator so we took it for its word when it was time to change filters. The Aroeve Air Purifiers best selling feature is definitely the air quality indicator. At least we know when to actually replace the filter. The machine was smaller than I expected which was nice. It’s sleek and presentable. The filter is economical and easy to replace. On the mechanical side, this machine is LOUD even on low mode. If you like white noise, I suppose it’s okay. On sleep mode, you can barely hear anything, I don’t even know if it’s doing it’s job but there is subtle airflow in sleep mode.on the physical side, all I can say is, they need to fix the filter cap/lid/slot thingy. It falls out way too easily. Under normal uses, I guess it’s okay, but it should really snap in place and be held with a bit more friction.

  9. I bought these 2 after getting the larger Airtok unit. I also received a $40 coupon thus very good deal. They are quiet , beautiful and love the adding scent feature. Super quite, night time capability and work well in our small rooms but if you have anything over a 12×10 not ideal only reason for 4 star review.

  10. This air purifier actually WORKS PHENOMENALLY WELL!!! After trying several other purifiers over the past 3 years, none of which actually worked, I was so thrilled to find that as SOON as I plugged this in and turned it on (after remembering to take the plastic off the filter inside the purifier) — IT WORKED BETTER THAN ANYTHING ELSE I’VE EVER TRIED!!! I have a “neighbor” whose room is about 10 feet away from my bedroom – both homes are brick – and every time she vapes in her room ALL the disgusting, poisonous, toxic vapor immediately goes directly into MY room (a year and a half of this craziness). So, imagine my TOTAL RELIEF to find that this little room purifier handles ALL of it, especially on “high” (although it is quite noisy at that level, but it’s more a pleasant “white noise” to me).If you are sick of nearby smokers, vapers, and tokers ruining your breathing air — ORDER THIS RIGHT NOW. I am a disabled U.S. Army veteran with numerous health issues, so having clean, breathable air is literally a LIFE-SAVING necessity

  11. There’s a place I go once every year where we get quartered in a building that’s left unoccupied most of the year, not sure if it’s mold or dust or what, but I always get a sore throat and cold like symptoms after staying there for a few days. I put this in my cubicle and didn’t have any problems this year. So it’s good for something at least. My only complaint is the beep when you hit a button is really loud. They thought of a button that turns the fan speed indicator LEDs off, which is nice for sleeping, but loud beeps are not nice right before you go to bed.Low is really the only acceptable noise level if you have it near your bed; it’s almost silent then. Medium might work if you are used to a fairly loud white noise machine while sleeping or use ear plugs.

  12. It literally worked within an hour of running on its high power mode. I will buy the bigger one soon. I cannot find anything that I didn’t like about it. I now Keep my cats litter box right next to it in my bedroom now because it works so well and my bedroom no joke has a really fresh clean smell just about 24/7 now . I’ll do a month update in a few weeks. Btw looks nice and has a finger tap system to switch settings, no buttons or switches needed. Don’t forget to take the plastic off the filter first.

  13. I purchased this product as part of an Amazon lightning deal after looking for a purifier and humidifier for my newborns nursery. I live in an old apartment building that doesn’t get the best air circulation. I noticed that my baby was breathing stiff, old air (I know if I’m waking up stuffy my infant sure wasn’t comfy). This was the best purchase I’ve ever made. It’s easy to use, like literally three steps. I run it on 12 hour shifts every other day as I have another purifier by this same Brand in my living room as well. I feel like there was an immediate difference in the air of the room & it just felt cleaner, crisper, and cooler.

  14. I purchased this air purifier to help with cat odors around the litter box area in the basement where we keep the litter boxes. There was an immediate improvement in air quality with no smell that I could detect, unless a cat had just moments before used the box. A quality cat litter is also important, but I think no litter exists that ends in zero smell. And that’s where this purifier really helped. And then one of my cats got sick with diarrhea and kept having accidents upstairs on the carpet in one room. She couldn’t make it downstairs to the litter box in time. And while I thoroughly cleaned all of the impacted carpet spots, an odor still seemed to linger. And I added a litter box in this room too to help the poor cat out. Thankfully no more accidents! But I couldn’t get rid of the smell until I moved the air purifier to this room. Within 25 minutes on high speed, the smell that had been lingering for a week was entirely gone! Incredible! Needless to say, I ordered a second purifier. You won’t regret your purchase!High speed is a bit loud, but not bothersome. And the instructions say you usually don’t need to leave it on high long term. I do leave it on high in my basement cat room where the cats stay at night and when we’re out, but in the upstairs room the middle speed should be sufficient and the sound is barely noticeable. I think I will probably purchase more smaller units of this brand for bedrooms to improve air quality further and help with seasonal and dust allergies.

  15. Started having really bad allergy symptoms recently and needed to find a way to reduce them.. Doctor recommended having an air purifier so I looked at a lot of options and decided I wanted one that was non-ionizing to be safe. That being said, the research I did suggests there are better air purifiers that have higher exchange rates and better filtration than this one – but those are typically all ionizing so I was willing to sacrifice a little for non-ionizing.Now that I have had this for several weeks, I absolutely love it and don’t know why it took me so long to get one. Suddenly the dry eyes, sinus pressure, and other annoying symptoms are a lot better. If I’m honest, for a while I thought this wasn’t really doing much of anything though. That was until I woke up one day and my allergies were really picking up. I turned this thing to 3 and ran it for like 30-45 minutes and immediately started feeling better. Hard to think that is a coincidence! Also I had this off while I was away on vacation and when I got back my allergies were awful! The next morning, after running this for the night, I felt a million times better.I keep mine running pretty much 24/7 on level 1 but will increase it temporarily if I feel I need to. As for the noise, on level 1 the noise is pretty low but does give off a noticeable white noise – sleep mode is even quieter though. On level 2 and 3 it can definitely get pretty loud but usually I will only run it that high for a short time. Also, I love that you can turn off the lights for the buttons even if you aren’t using sleep mode. This is a great feature especially when you are trying to sleep but want the machine on a different setting. If you’re considering getting a non-ionizing air purifier, I’d definitely recommend picking this up!

  16. My wife has a fish tank and the more fresh air in the house the higher her PH. With the windows open we see around 8.3-8.7 windows closed around 7.8. I had hoped this would raise her PH while the windows were closed. It didn’t. However I will say if you are looking to remove or clean up smoke smells this does work. I vape and within two hits in the same room this goes from blue to red surprisingly fast. Same with The Healing Compound when smoked/vaped. We did smoke within 15 mins of someone coming over and they didn’t seem to be able to smell it vs it smelling like skunky air freshener. So all in all good, but cannot prove it actually purifies air as well as just opening a window in regards to a reef tank.Would I buy it again if I didn’t vape or smoke? No.

  17. We have 1 in our daughter’s room and 1 in our master bedroom. Both rooms are about 20×20 and these work perfectly. Not noisy at all and we have these running 24/7. We have only had them for about a month and so far we have not had any issues.

  18. I’ve never been allergic to dogs until I rescued a Red Heeler. She adorable, and regardless of her fur being everywhere, gunking up my eyes, giving me a stuffy up nose, congestion, etc., I was keeping her. We’re attached to each other. So I started researching ways I could reduce my allergic response, besides dumping a ton of chemicals on my girl, that’s no solution, when I stumbled on this gem. It works. It really, really works. Within 15 minutes of turning it on, I could literally feel a difference with my allergic response. Now my allergies are minimal. I’ll also say that I’m a clean guy and keeping my house vacuumed and dusted daily really helps too. But after using this purifier for the past month, not only is my allergic response minimal, but I don’t have to dust every day and the dirt I pick up from vacuuming is less. If you’re in the same situation, give this a try. It seriously works. Remember to vacuum your filters ever 3 to 4 days and dust/clean the outside and you’re gold!

  19. It works well. We put it in the basement to help with the dust as we clean out storage and turn this into a living space. It stayed blue through the dust though on turbo mode. Curiosity got the better of me so I grabbedy vape pen and blew a puff to see if it would detect it. One puff turns it yellow for a few seconds, two puffs turns it red for about 30 seconds

  20. Bought this unit 6/2019, and after about a week my wife noticed that our bedroom (12′ x 16′) was more conducive to sleeping: I couldn’t really tell a difference, but she said I was no longer snoring or having respiratory issues, and when I opened the purifier to check the filters, there was a goodly amount of dust on the pre-filter, and even on the third layer filter. So I know it was doing some good. The unit was quiet and worked pretty much around the clock without issue for about 18 months, when it started to develop a rattle, then a grinding noise. Fan bearing failing, and it finally refused to spin the fan at all, though the control panel still worked.I set it aside and forgot about it until 11/22 when something jogged my memory and I remembed it. Emailed the company and within 24 hours received a very courteous reply asking for a video of the problem and proof of purchase (turns out the unit has a *FIVE* year warranty!) and within a week a brand new unit arrived and has been working perfectly, just as the old one.So I’d say:5 stars for the unit functions—seems to clear the air in a bedroom reasonably well3.5 stars for durability—I expected to get at least 3+ years out of the unit; first one failed in 1.55.0+ stars for the warranty—long term, and honored quickly and courteously; unusual in a world of 1-year, or even 90 days(!) warranty protections5.0+ stars for customer service from Okaysou!I’ll buy from their company again, just because of the customer service. That’s something increasingly rare these days where phone calls go unreturned and email are ignored.
