So, I read a lot of reviews before buying this. After having used this product 3 times, I find that most negative reviews are user error. First of all, if you are pale, like I naturally am. I am irish, I am as pale as it gets, however, I have been tanning a while so I have a great tan going on. I typically use Ed Hardy Coconut Kisses, mainly because I wanted my skin to actually tan as well as it could without any bronzer psyching me out. I reached a plateau and decided to get this to use a few times then alternate. It is working great to give me a little boost.This stuff is NOT for pale people. You NEED a good base tan before you go to an intense bronzer. If you want more immediate results then you should not be bed tanning, you should be self or spray tanning, because that is exactly what you will be doing if you use this on pale skin. Anyone who is streaking or staining is either too pale and/or not applying correctly. (PS we can see in your photos you are too pale). I used this with zero streak or stain anywhere. I do not wash my hands after applying I merely wipe my palms on the towel and wipe off excess between my fingers. There is no stain anywhere on my hands, not even around my nails. Also, it’s not rocket science to take off your rings when you apply tanning lotion. I noticed several had bad staining around rings. First of all, you’re trapping all that under there, of course it will probably stain. Second, it is terrible for your jewelry to cover it with lotion unless you enjoy constantly cleaning them to remove the nasty build up in all the crevices.So, if you’re too pale, get some color first before you use this. Apply properly. Don’t use so much product that it won’t rub in fully, and remove your jewelry. A simple wiping of hands on a towel, between fingers and the Palms should be suffienct to remove excess product and prevent staining.As for the consistency, I thought it was perfect, thick and creamy but rubs in well and quickly. I felt it dried fairly quickly as well. Of course, I don’t use too much product though.The smell I thought was nice, I tend to like fruity smells but this was good and it smells nice after tanning. I didn’t smell like burnt popcorn or anything (as my 9 year old daughter has claimed previously with other lotions lol) , it still smelled the same.Over all, I loved the lotion and pleased with my purchase and the price. I will repurchase to rotate with my coconut kisses.Also… to comment on receipt of product. It came perfectly intact, shrink wrapped in plastic and no issues as others claimed. It was a legit bottle as others tried to claim otherwise due to manufacture bottle design change.I recommend this product!

I have been tanning consistently for the last few months, but after getting covid this summer I was forced to take a month off because I just couldn’t get out of bed to go anywhere. Finally got my energy back and went to the tanning bed more frequently and was using Somewhere on a Beach (great for starting bronzing) but I hit a plateau. Couldn’t get past it even in a higher pressure bed than the bronzing beds I was using. Bought this on a whim and went yesterday to see how much more of a tan I could get before I go on a trip this upcoming weekend. WOW. I felt pretty bronzed yesterday and it didn’t all wash off in the shower which was a huge plus for me. This morning I woke up and was 2 shades darker. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve had a tough time tanning my arms and chest and they look incredible this morning. I’m sold, will use this forever. So excited to see how much darker I can get before the beach! 🙂
The product will stain your hands with an orange tint. I washed my hands with soap right after each application and still was left with an orange hue on my palms each time. All in all it’s a good product for the price.
I love this product but was very upset that the lid wasn’t on good,so quite a bit of it had leaked out… I had read of this problem with others pass reviews but was really hoping the problem had been taken care of. But sadly I guess not, need to work on a different format of packaging.

This product smells great, is ultra moisturizing, tanning bed safe, delivers even and beautiful color, and keeps me from smelling like burnt skin after tanning,I love this product so much I’ve used it on the beach. It’s not a sunblock, but it help me tan more evenly and prevent burning.I’ve also used it for aftersun care, keeping in mind that isn’t for burns and contains no aloe, it has helped me from peeling and kept my skin hydrated after a day at the beach!
I loved the smell of this and the effects of it but it definitely is much more greasy than expected. Leaves skin soft and I have very sensitive skin but didn’t have any issues.
I received my bottle today to find that it’s only half full. Looks like it’s been previously used…not happy with this purchase. I’ve used this lotion several times before and love the lotion but this vendor needs to endure better products before being shipped.

Ok so idk what these negative reviews are about but this is the best tanning lotion I’ve tried that actually gets you tan and doesn’t wash off like other lotions with bronzers do. This one I believe has no bronzers and does not wash off. It actually gets you tan and does not wash off or have a horrible smell after like the others. I’ve been tanning for over 10 years. I honestly think the bad reviews are from people using poor tanning equipment, because this is the darkest I’ve ever been in such a short amount of time. I went tanning 6 times with this lotion and it’s the tannest I’ve ever been and I like to be dark! I’m Irish so if that gives you and indication on how pale I am lol.Get this tanning lotion, and find your self a good tanning salon. You won’t regret it!Hope this review helps!
This lotion is beyond awesome as I guy I don’t really use bronzers but I like using this lotion gets me very dark on my third bottle.

I am one who has to see if the product has any major shine (oily texture). Most are horrific in scents or have a burnt after tan smell. The Beach Black Rum tanning lotion leaves a soft feeling to the skin after tanning. I am able to work out after without all of the equipment becoming slippery or greasy. I was shocked! It was a pleasant surprise. The scent smells slightly like Beach Bum coconut with a hint of a bronzer smell, which didn’t smell burnt, in fact, more of a citrus coffee blend with a touch of coconut tanning smell. Very pleasant and even after tanning I didn’t feel terrible to walk around others. Will definitely purchase more for these benefits alone!

I love the smell, it almost has a light vanilla scent mixed with coconut. Not at all overpowering or chemical smelling like other tanning lotions I have purchased in the past. I’m not sure if it is actually Ed Hardy brand because it doesn’t say Ed Hardy anywhere on the packaging. Either way, it works very well! Noticed a difference in one session. Will purchase again!
