How To Buy The Best Bladeless Fan In 2022

Bladeless fans may be a bit pricier than their bladed counterparts, but they bring plenty of benefits. The design itself makes it a conversation piece. Chances are, some people you know have never even seen one in person. But there are plenty of other great reasons to choose a bladeless fan for your home or office.

Safety is one of the top reasons. If you have little ones around, a fan with blades can add stress you don’t need. If someone sticks a finger or an object in the areas where a blade would normally be, on a bladeless fan, it’s completely safe.

When it’s time to clean dust and debris from your bladeless fan, it’s far easier than with a fan with blades. You don’t have to work around those blades, after all, which makes it a breeze. However, some bladeless fans tend to attract dust and potentially create more work for you.

Once you move beyond the bladeless aspect of a fan, many of the same features you expect from any fan apply. Some fans oscillate, cooling off a bigger area, while others are set up only to blast air directly. But even with oscillating fans, it’s important to check blowing power to make sure you’ll get the force you need if you’re trying to cool a large room.

If you’re using your fan in a bedroom or other living space, a remote control can come in handy. One thing to look for is whether you’ll have all the controls you need on the fan itself. Some fans put all the controls on the remote, which leaves you unable to adjust settings if you misplace it.

Timers also come with many bladeless fans. With a built-in timer, you can set your fan to work for a specific time period, then automatically shut off. This might be good if you use your fan to help you fall asleep at night, but you want to conserve energy by having it shut off once you’ve drifted off.

The Bladeless Fan Tips and Advice

The first thing to consider is how easy it will be to set your fan up once you take it out of the box. Some models come preassembled, which means you can take them out of the package, plug them in and immediately enjoy cool air. With other models, you’ll need to assemble them at the base, which is just a matter of snapping two parts together and tightening a locking nut. Once you’ve done that, the tower will slide right into the base.
Once the fan is in place, working the settings becomes the next challenge. Look for a fan that has touch buttons that make it easy to choose the setting you want. You’ll just press the fan button until you reach the level of cooling you want and enjoy.
One of the best things about bladeless fans is that they’re easier to clean than those with blades. However, some fans have louvered vents for adjusting airflow. Those vents make cleanup a little more challenging. The Dyson Cool Air Multiplier Tower Fan has air-intake vents that can pull dust inward, and you’ll have to vacuum those on a fairly regular basis. It’s important to follow the manufacturer’s directions for cleaning to avoid damaging the motor.
Although cooling power can be subjective, each fan has its own way of cooling an area. Some models have a high-velocity blower, making them ideal for those wanting a blast of air rather than more subtle cooling. If you want multiple options for your cooling, consider the Dyson Cool Air Multiplier Tower Fan, which offers a wide range of settings. You may also want to consider a fan that has both speed and noise level settings.
Oscillation can come in handy, particularly when cooling a large room. There are fans that oscillate at 45 degrees, with louvers that allow you to direct air. Other fans can circulate air at a rate of approximately 110 cubic feet per minute, making them best for small to midsized rooms. Look for a Dyson that uses Air Multiplier technology, as this allows it to spread air around. One of the best things about these fans is that they reduce energy use by 30%. The larger Dyson Cool Air Multiplier Tower Fan also uses Air Multiplier technology and energy efficiency to provide cooling without doing major damage to your utility bill.

  1. Although not perfectly silent this circulating fan system is much quieter than the other fans we’ve tried over the years. We have no trouble sleeping through the night with this fan running 24/7. We bought two of them, one for the Master bedroom and one for our front hall. We did this as an experiment to try and improve the circulation of cooled air in our house. We live in an area where air conditioning is not required and thus most houses don’t have forced air systems optimized to move cold air, relying on the natural rising of hot air, and thus having the air plenums come up through the floors rather than through vents high on the walls or in the ceiling. We added air conditioning to our system about 20 years ago and experimented with a few fans in the Summer to try and get the cold air coming up through the floor moved up higher into the rooms we occupy. All the commercial systems we investigated to apply over a vent to push air up turned out to be too noisy to sleep with. So this year I decided to try something different and in researching different fan systems I ran into this design. We put them in more than 6 weeks ago and the results have been excellent. They move a lot of air in a rather broad swath and at a moderate to low noise level. For the front hall we placed a unit next to one of the floor vents and put it in the 90 degree sweep mode and its been running full time ever since with no issues. We placed the second unit in the master bedroom, also in 90 degree sweep mode, next to a vent and it, too, does a great job of lifting the cooled air higher into the room and spreading it throughout. These units have a prominent display of the current temperature easy to read from across a room. They have proved to be very reliable so far running 24/7.The manual provided with the units is marginal though. It talks about the automatic mode of fan control which one might think had something to do with managing fan speed based on prevailing temperature but it has no explanation of what the rules are that the automatic mode is based on, making a vague reference to it having an algorithm. And whatever the algorithm is, in our application seems to have no effect since we only very rarely see the fan speed change. It typically runs at its highest speed all the time. But as I said, the fan is quiet enough to sleep through, moves a large volume of air across a broad range, and is mindful of a cool breeze outdoors as it quietly moves side to side. The remote control is handy when you have the fan moving back and forth as it allows you to set things while the fan is operating. But the symbols they use are not the best. But we really don’t use the remote but for intial setup – and since then it’s been flawless.I liked the fact that the base, and therefore the power cord, can be set to one of 4 positions when installing onto the unit making it easy to keep the power cord relatively hidden and away from your feet when walking by the unit.I’ve been using a Honeywell T9 thermostat for over a year now and we just got our July air conditioning usage e-mail report for this July compared to last July. And in that comparison it appears we’ve reduced our air conditioning usage nearly 40% over last year, in part due to these fans, in part due to 1 degree higher set points which we’ve found to be just as comfortable thaks to the new air circulation, and in part dealing with this years 1 degree lower average high thanks to the fire smoke from California and parts West of us. So I can’t say the fans are responsible for all of that but we’re convinced they are a big component of that savings because of how they’ve improved the airflow generally on the main floor of the house.Although too early to judge overall reliability, the unit appears well made, although largely plastic, and it functions as needed, so I highly recommend it!

  3. The media could not be loaded.  Summers are sometimes unbearable. They mark the beginning of very high temperatures during day and night. It makes the perfect time to draw out the fans to help reduce the temperatures, especially in sunny areas like Oklahoma, where you can get a good amount of sun without getting roasted if you have an excellent cooling companion. Previously, most fans I used were noisy, which can be annoying, especially when you want to focus on work or sleep. However, this changed after buying the Dreo Pilot Max tower fan, which is essentially noiseless. I got to use it in every part of the house, including the bedroom, even while the baby was asleep. It makes no sound whatsoever; I was curious how quiet it was compared to my previous fan, then I found out that the noise level on this floor fan reached 25 dB! Nowhere near my other fans with noise levels of 54 dB+.If you want to work your way to a fresh summer, you’ll not be disappointed with this purchase. During these hot days, as I am working in my home office, I could barely function for 6 hours straight before changing a T-shirt, vest, or getting something to cool me down. I would always waste much time because of this, which turned out to affect my family time. Pilot max allowed me to make up for so much wasted time. With it in my office, I could get things done without uncomfortable distractions, even not moving from my chair for hours at a time. I forgot about sweat and noise; I just set my tower fan to the sea breeze fan speed, which is excellent and very soothing, creating a perfect environment for work. Additionally, it can be easily controlled without even moving from my desk. This has also made my job easier since I do not have to keep on standing.Pilot Max’s design is a real piece of art. It gives my office an elegant and stylish look. Just by looking at it, I can unwind a stressful morning and set my mind calm and ready to work. The metallic finish keeps my office space sleek and gives it a futuristic appearance. It has since become the center of attraction in my office, with many of my colleagues seeking more information about it during online meetings. I’ve even received comments on how my office space looks fantastic and vibrant for the first time. This lifts my mood to continue working smart and keep up with the technological developments, especially on home gadgets. As I explain to them that it is a tower fan that they can easily purchase from Dreo, they are amazed since it is affordable despite having a luxurious look. For the first time in summer, my energy bill went down. I try to minimize the electricity bills at my office since the gadgets I use are primarily non-energy consuming. Previously with other fans, the amount of energy consumed was embarrassing, and it would go up and up because I was forced to use both A/C and fan together at max capacity. But with Pilot Max, my AC wasn’t needed anymore, only in seldom heat spikes; the A/C would boost cooling a little. At first, I couldn’t believe how it could give cooling breezes at a much lower cost. I have been amazed by it since, as someone in business, I strive to reduce expenses to the very minimum to increase our revenues, and I always struggle between choosing comfort or lowering costs. Its ability to transform the high temperatures within my office and save energy makes it the best tower fan ever.Portability is one of the great things made on this fan. I can place it as far as 26 ft., and I can still feel the air cooling within a second. Pilot Max has a potent brushless DC motor. This gives it the power to reach higher wind speeds than most tower fans. This isn’t just a regular floor fan; it is a cooling powerhouse; it comes with an outstanding impeller wheel extended beyond conventional tower fans measures, allowing air to move smoothly and proportionately in the office. That design gives maximum airflow from the fan with no limits or resistance. The size of the impeller wheel also contributes to the quietness experienced in this tower fan. When I am doing some changes in the office with Pilot Max, I do not have to worry about angling. It has a 120° ultra-wide-angle, allowing the whole office to receive cool air regardless of where it is placed. It makes the environment comfortable even when I am with visitors or family members within my office. Interestingly, the angle can be adjusted according to your needs. For example, when I am concentrated in a particular place in my office, I change it to 90°, circulating air smoothly while I work. This also allows me to share with my family members, who are sometimes helping with my work at the office. All these adjustments are highly convenient since Pilot Max utilizes a remote. Like you can change a TV channel at the comfort of your seat, the adjustments for this tower fan are also made using a remote that operates as far as 29ft. This has made work easier for me; I do not have to keep getting up to make adjustments. And it’s so easy to use that I am able to teach my family members how to operate the fan without facing difficulties since they are well familiar with the use of a remote. The assembly was a no-brainer; to be honest, I was worried about messing it up when putting it together. Personally am not good with fixing items involving screws. But when I purchased it, the manual gave a few easy steps that I followed. It just took me a few clicks here and there to get it all done. Similarly, cleaning it was a delight due to the removable grill, which makes cleaning it not only possible but a piece of cake. Once the fan is on, the auto mode quickly adapts to the room temperature on installation and begins to cool it off. Also, unlike other tower fans with auto power-off of about six hours, the Pilot Max tower fan enables us to enjoy up to 12 hours of power even in sleep mode.I have used various fans before, but after purchasing the Pilot Max, the need for newer fans came to a stop. I finally found a tower fan that best fits my need in both my office and even in my household. Pilot Max has changed my summers; hence I can work continuously regardless of the season. It has excellent technologically advanced features to benefit us, the users. You can tell it is a cooling fan made with real cooling needs in mind.

  4. The media could not be loaded.  Power through a hot summer with the Dreo Oscillating Tower Fan with Remote. This tower fan features 9 speeds, an adjustable airflow direction and a timer to provide you with cooling control and customized comfort. The oscillating fan head moves from side to side, allowing it to spread cool relief around the room. A remote control is included for easy operation from anywhere in the room and a convenient carry handle makes it easy to transport from room to room.Fans are an essential tool to have in the home. Whether you’re worried about the summer heat or the winter chill, a fan is a must-have piece of technology that comes with a variety of features. Having owned this tower fan for over 3 years I believe I can safely say whether it’s good or not. So, let’s take a deep dive into this fan and see if it’s worth your time, energy or money. The Dreo’s tower fan offer a lot of benefits: They’re tall and thin, so they don’t take up much space, and they tend to be quieter than window air conditioners or noisy pedestal fans.● Oscillating head & top-mounted controls allow you to cool off quickly and feel great.● Our high-velocity, multi-directional fan with a fresh ionized-flow system cools or heats the room naturally, with no noise and minimal energy use.● The slim design is ideal for smaller rooms, or use it as a secondary fan in the corner of your room while you sleep.● The 24W DC motor makes for whisper-quiet operation.,The Oscillating Tower Fan is a compact, quiet and efficient fan that will keep you cool on hot and humid days. Place the fan in your bedroom, living room or any other area that needs cooling down.It comes with a remote control for easy operation even when you are seated or lying in bed. You can adjust the settings of the fan as well as turn it on and off using the remote control, which makes it convenient to change the settings of your fan without having to get up.It keeps air circulating, so no one area gets too hot. The fan is also quiet when in operation, which means it will not distract you while you work or get some sleep. This fan requires very little energy to operate and has been designed with energy efficiency in mind. It is also lightweight and portable, so you can easily carry it from one room to another if needed.Performance and UseThe design is simple yet elegant, and the remote control makes it easy to operate from anywhere within a room. The relatively low height and the oscillation angle are both drawbacks, but they’re outweighed by the fact that this is a high quality tower fan at an affordable price. The oscillating feature works well and provides good coverage for my living room (about 400 sq ft). You can also turn off the oscillation feature, if desired. On the highest setting, however, I found that there is some slight wobble in the fan itself. The tower fan is lightweight and made of plastic and while this makes it easy to move around, I suspect this contributes to the slight wobble. It doesn’t interfere with functionality – just looks a bit odd. When it comes to noise level, this tower fan is relatively quiet – even on high speed. I’m happy with its performance for home use.Lightweight and PortableMy husband and I were looking for a fan that would cool down the room and circulate the air. We wanted one that was lightweight and portable so we could move it from one room to another as needed. We were impressed with how quiet this fan was and how easy it was to assemble.Small but powerful, this tower fan is perfect for personal use or for a small office space. It’s lightweight, so it’s easy to move from room to room. The remote control makes it convenient to operate, and the oscillating function helps to circulate air throughout a larger area. It’s also very quiet and doesn’t disturb conversations or phone calls. I’ve had a few people ask me what kind of fan I have because they want one just like it!Whisper QuietThis is an excellent little fan. It is not very tall, but has a great oscillation feature and can be adjusted to different angles, so it works well as a small room fan. I love the remote control function and the different settings on it. The timer is a great feature as well. It’s very quiet, so it can be used in a home office or bedroom without disrupting your work or sleep.

  5. The media could not be loaded.  I love summer for many reasons, but the problem gets serious when the temperature goes up to give you uncomfortable nights. Airconditioners can be turned on to get the whole comfort day long, but adding this luxury won’t be smart. However, when necessary, you must pay for the comfort. My air conditioner went out of service, and due to holidays, I couldn’t get a serviceman before the week started. It was when I realized how badly did I need a backup to have a sound sleep through the night. I started researching for a good value for money. I could get a basic fan for $12, but my main purpose was getting a sustainable and sleek fan that wouldn’t stand odd in my house.P.S. I’m a freak when it comes to organizing the interiors and having everything in harmony. So my problem was real.I always knew I wanted a tower fan that could sit in a quiet corner but also does its job. So my research began with finding a good tower fan. There was a mix of bad and good reviews, but most were good ones. I am lucky to find Dreo’s bladeless tower fan based on my one week of use.I went through the reviews, videos, product images, etc. Back in my mind, I decided that I was going to buy this product. But I needed validation, and I got it when I stayed at a friend’s house after a part. She already had this product from Dreo. It instantly turned my curiosity button on, and I asked for her permission to go through the product. So unlike many others, I had a physical demo of the product before buying it. Therefore, my expectations were already set, and I had pretty much an idea about what I would receive.Coming back to my home, I ordered the Dreo’s fan by trusting my instinct the very next day. To my surprise, the package arrived two days ahead of promised delivery. The packing was sturdy and intact, and so was the product. The manual inside package helped in its assembly and installation. After some minutes of setting up and understanding its operations, my fan was ready to be turned on. I have kept the fan in my bedroom, and it’s a week since I am relying on the fan for my comfortable sleep at night.I have bothered to write this long review to highlight everything my friend or I had experienced using this product. The whole point is to help those people who are confused due to noise about the product’s ineffectiveness for meeting ac standards. The manufacturers never claimed the product to be an alternative to the Air Conditioners. In my one-week use, everything had been great. You must buy this product if you’re looking for a sleek design and a moderate-budget product. Some features of the product that I loved the most are:It’s tall, so adjusting your bedding to get maximum air is never a problem. When we compare the oscillating tower fan with a remote to other fellows in the market, it’s lighter in weight, and you can easily move it around. The 90o shaking head of the fan is another thing that I loved the most. It makes every corner of my room accessible. I can turn on the fan and literally sit anywhere. So if you want the fan for settings where more people have to sit, it won’t disappoint you.In the mid of summer day, when you enter the home with an exhausted mind and sit on your couch, who would like to get up and find a fan switch? A remote control is a big blessing as you don’t have to get up every time to turn it on or off. So remote control feature is great, and it offers a 9-meter range for changing oscillations, temperature, modes, speeds, etc.And for instance, if you lose the remote and are unable to find it, you can use the buttons installed on the device for changing settings, turning off/on, etc. So yes, it’s a great feature to have.Noise is another problem with the most traditional blade fans. If you want a quiet and peaceful room, this quiet tower fan is perfect for that. A person like me with a sleeping disability will get up in the middle of the night because a cat jumped over the roof. So you can understand the frustration of having a traditional fan playing a melody all night long. Although I didn’t ask for it, Dreo fan has solved that problem of mine.If I say that it is muted fan, it will be wrong. We can debate on it as to what scale of noise does it create. I will say it’s negligible, and anyone looking for a tower fan for a studio room will love this feature of the fan. You get breezy air with the lowest possible noise. Some good to have features of the Dreo cooling tower fan are multiple modes, timer, memory, etc. Three modes let you choose between auto mode, natural mode, or normal mode. When you choose the auto mode, it gives you an ambient temperature and airflow. Normal mode is like a fan running on constant speed as you have set. The speeds keep on changing in the natural mode, and I am not pretty sure about it as I haven’t tried the mode yet. My tower fan is running on normal mode usually. You can set the timer for telling your device to turn off after a specific time. If your device turned off due to a power cut, it would work on the previous settings when turned on once again. It’s pretty much about the product, and I recommend everyone try out Dreo’s product as it is great. I am already a fan of the product after using their heater and tower fan back to back.

  6. Dreo vs Lasko Tower Fans–Which Should You Buy?Summer is coming, and everyone could use a little more cooling on hot summer days. Gone are the days of box fans or awkward top heavy circular oscillating fans. Today, when people need a little extra air flow, they go for a tower fan with a remote. As you might expect, there is a dizzying array of choices available. In this article, we’ll compare the Lasko 2511 with a new option on the market, the Dreo. 36” tower fan. Both of these fans offer a quality experience, but which should you buy?Air FlowAs you would expect, fan speed, or more specifically, the wind speed of the air leaving the fan, is probably the most important consideration when selecting one. You want something that will move air! Both the Lasko and Dreo tower fans offer multiple speeds to customize your cooling comfort. The Lasko has three speeds, the lowest bing really gentle, with the highest being significant enough to be felt 8 feet away. The Dreo, on the other hand, has four speeds available. 1, 2, and 3 are pretty comparable to the feel of the Lasko. However, speed 4 is noticeably more powerful than what the Lasko offers. It’s also worth mentioning that the Lasko oscillates over a 45° spread, while the Dreo has a 90° oscillation. So overall, the Dreo is going to move air over a larger area, but ultimately it seems like this difference is going to come down to a matter of preference.NoiseThe noise level of both fans is pretty comparable, with the Dreo being noticeably quieter at lower speeds. From three feet away, at speed 1, the Dreo registers at a whisper quiet 34 dB, while the Lasko is 44 dB. You have to get the Dreo up to speed 3 to hit 44 dB, and at that speed, the Lasko only goes up to 47 dB. Basically ,the Lasko doesn’t add much more noise at the different speeds. The Dreo does have that extra speed 4 that cranks up the noise a bit with the wind speed. At speed 4, the Dreo runs at 48 dB.The Dreo has an extra feature that Lasko is lacking. You can mute the button sounds. This is handy if you want to make adjustments without interrupting the quiet.DesignThe design of these two fans is similar, but also so markedly different that it’s hard not to remark on it.Lasko, as with many of their products, has opted for a functional, utilitarian design that gets the job done. It doesn’t look particularly bad, but it’s not great either. The light indicators let you know what your settings are, but they’re just dots of lights next to numbers. In the case of the sleep timer, they even require you to do math to know what the timer is set on. And the numbers you’re looking at are printed on the fan, not backlit. So you’re going to have to turn on the light to check your settings if you’re in a dark room. The Dreo, on the other hand, looks like a work of modern art, with its all black design, and the big LED screen. You won’t have any problem knowing what speed the fan is set to or what the sleep timer is set on. No moving closer to inspect tiny numbers printed on the casing. The design differences carry through to the remotes. The Lasko remote is functional, if unsightly, while the Dreo is beautiful and sleek (and the Dreo remote also comes with a battery; the Lasko doesn’t).Ease of UseTo be honest, any fan is pretty dead simple to use, but some are easier than others. In the case of these two, the Lasko comes with fairly simple instructions: push the power button to turn on, adjust the speed, etc.The Dreo has similarly simple instructions, but also has some additional options (mute, auto mode, natural mode, etc.).Also, the Dreo instructions are delivered in a much more appealing and professionally polished package, which I can’t ignore. Providing an instruction booklet like this sends a message to your customers that you take their experience seriously. One feature of the Dreo that isn’t included in the instructions is the easy to remove and clean back panel. If you’ve ever run a fan for any amount of time, you know that you’ll be dealing with dust buildup. With the one screw panel removal, the Dreo makes that much simpler. The back panel on the Lasko looks like you’ll have to remove six screws, but I’m not sure if it’s really designed to remove and clean.ConclusionChoosing from a wide selection of very similar products can be daunting at the best of times. For something like a tower fan, there’s really just not that much to the hardware to differentiate one from the other, but Dreo does manage to bring a more compelling product to the market. With quieter operation, a large and bright LED display, more features, a more appealing design, and a better user experience, the Dreo 36” tower fan really does offer a better product than the Lasko 2511. And you’ll pay $10 more for that difference, as the Lasko only costs 59.99, while the Dreo retails for 69.99. Whether or not the upgrades are worth the extra expense is really up to you, but for a product that will last for years to come, my money is on Dreo.

  7. I was waiting for this fan to go on sale. They finally had a flash sale. I saw the sale when they only had 15% left. I tried ordering two but it wouldn’t let me. Would only let me ordered one. So I had my wife order one.We both shared the same account with our own sub-accounts. So I did get two. The each have remotes. You can also download an app. Which I recommend. I downloaded the app on my cell phone and IPad. My wife has it on her cellphone. I also connected them to google home. The app is better. You can fully control both fans with the one app. Switching to either of the two as needed. Full function with each. With google home. You can ask Google to turn both fans on and off and increase or decrease the speeds. Either together or individually. Specifically asking google to turn your fan on by the name you gave them in setting them up with google home. In my case. I named them fan one and fan two .So if I say “hey google, turn on the fans” or “turn on both fans.’ They come on. Or, I can say “hey google. Turn on fan two.” Then only fan two comes on. Like wise I can decrease fan ones speed or decrease fan twos speed. Etc. You can not however, use Google to oscillate either. So you either keep one of the remotes (or both remotes if you want to control both) near you or use the app. They are quiet compared to our other model. Moves plenty of air. Easy to put together. I’ve been using them for two months now and haven’t had any problems. Glad they finally came on sale. Well worth the purchase.

  8. I liked everything about this fan. My only problem was I really needed a changeable battery fan. This fan is rechargeable by plugging it into the wall.

  9. Fan is small and cute . Most fans are a sore to the eye and take up a lot of space. This is perfect for a work desk. It is very quiet and gets the job done. It is important to note that this is not a high powered fan but creates a light breeze to cool you down. This was what I was specifically looking for so it’s great for my needs.

  10. I have a very small room with no window and so I wanted a fan that didn’t take up a lot of space. My girlfriend recommended a bladeless one, which I never knew existed up until now. I always hate having to pull apart a fan to clean it so this is definitely a bonus that I don’t have to. For me personally, the fan does what it’s supposed to. I haven’t had it on max yet and can contently be in my room with a hoodie and sweats on. Highest I have kept it is the medium setting. The noise is loud enough for comfort but not overbearing, which I like. Customer service reached out to me the day of my package said to arrive and gave me a few pointers in how to work/understand the fan, which coming from someone that has never owned one of these, I graciously appreciated. Overall, for my personal use and necessities, it’s great for me. I did leave it off it’s charger once and noticed that it gets less powerful when off. I’m so used to having a fan that plugs in all the time to be in use. I also tend to forget to turn a said fan off when I’m doing other things not being in my room. So I’ll just have to remind myself better, but if that’s the only difficulty I’m having then I think it’s a good bang for my buck.

  11. The fan has a good range of speeds and is capable of moving a lot of air, even across a moderate to large room. The natural setting, which varies the airflow around the chosen setting is nice. I tend to use it instead of oscillation while I am working at my desk. It keeps the air targeted on me and avoids blowing papers around the room unnecessarily…while still providing a relaxing variation in the airflow.Obviously as the speed is increased, the noise level increases as well. However, It does seem quieter than other fans I have around the house, even when set to equivalent speeds. The remote control works well, and is the most convenient way to control the fan.The onboard controls work fine…but can be slightly tricky to use. They are located on the front of the device near the top. This means that if the fan is set to oscillate, the buttons are a moving target. Also when you try to push any of those buttons the whole tower has a tendency to rock backward and the button generally doesn’t end up getting pushed. This is easily solved by stabilizing the whole fan with 1 hand while working the controls with the other – this is fine, but makes 1 handed operation impossible without the remote. The wifi connection is a bit flakey. Despite a strong signal the device often drops offline making it tough to rely on the wifi controls as a primary way to operate the fan. But when it is available, it’s a nice option for controlling the fan hands free. The android app is straight forward to use, and the Alexa Integration is simple enough to set up and use. I have not yet found an easy way to integrate this fan into my larger home automation setup – which is based on Home Assistant.

  13. I ordered the fan and found that when I would set the speed greater than 3 and oscillating, the fan would beep and turn off. After some experimenting, I found that the fan had a short and when oscillating, it would rock a bit and thus cause it to stop working. I reached out to the seller and after sending them a quick video of the issue, they sent me a new fan.On just customer service alone, I would have given 5 stars, however, since I have read others have had issues with shorting out, etc. I decided to give them a 4 star since the product seem to have a few lemons in the bunch.Overall though, great fan and very quiet but powerful breeze.

  14. I love this fan. As I sit next to as I type this. Love that I can take it anywhere without a cord. I could push out more or colder air and battery could last a little longer but I’m not complaining.

  15. I have been avoiding replacing my big oscillating fan despite all the space it takes up because I can never find a tower fan that can properly blow air more than a delicate breeze. My wife begged me to get rid of my fan that I can’t sleep without at night. Even in my office I have 2 fans on me. I’m not overweight or going through menopause. I’m just a dude who runs hot and always needs a breeze to be comfortable. I finally decided to look for a tower fan so we can get rid of the eyesore of a fan we previously had.I watched many YouTube reviews of different tower fans and this model (both the smart and non-smart version are the same other than the Alexa/Google Home features) was recommended by every single one. I even found posts on Reddit about it. Decided to give it a try.First impression: high power for a tower fan. No, it’s not a “powerful” fan like you get from a box fan or tall oscillating fan but that’s a physics issue. If you want it fairly quiet then power has to be limited because when air moves it makes sound. Even so, it’s not just powerful “for a tower fan” it really does make good air movement. I thought for sure I would be disappointed as I melted in my bed from being hot but nope. This thing blows air nicely and has a sound I like (unlike most people I love a loud fan) but this fan definitely isn’t loud. Every speed setting 1-8 pretty much puts off no sound. The highest setting (12) is where you hear it and the sound is very present but not anywhere as loud as a box or oscillating fan. It’s still a quiet sound and actually sounds a big peaceful like the sound of a breeze. Bigger blade fans give off that reverberation sound from the big blades but this really has the sound of being outside and hearing a breeze. So it’s really quite relaxing. The “natural breeze” setting is nice but I personally prefer a continuous flow of air. I find the fluctuating wind and sound changes a little distracting but it could very well be relaxing for some people.Highly recommend this fan if you’re in the market for an “air mover” tower fan. So far it’s the best I’ve found after hundreds and hundreds of dollars trying to find one that works for me (of course I’ve returned the others lol)My only wish is that it came in a matte black. Or even glossy black. But something all black because I don’t love the grey look. But I also don’t even notice it anymore so it’s not like it’s an unrelenting eyesore. Just personal preference.TL;DR: Fan moves a lot of air, highest setting will definitely have some sound but you should expect that if you want it to properly move air because that’s how physics work. If you want a tower fan that isn’t too loud but still blows hard then this is the one. Again, it’s not a box fan so temper your expectations. I’m convinced super super powerful tower fans simply don’t exist because people would just complain about the fan noise so they find a happy medium to avoid those complaints.

  16. This will run from an ac/USB adaptor or from the internal USB charged battery. I have a few power outages here on the Georgia coast from time to time. Since I enjoy air movement whilst abed I thought I would try this. It works a treat and I recommend it. The low speed is adequate if the fan is close and the high speed is very impressive. You may have noticed that it resembles the design of a certain well-known ($$$) fan called the “Air Multiplier”. This little gem is a bargain. Cheers.

  17. I bought this fan for my room as its gets warmer than the rest of the house. I keep it pointed at my bed so I can’t say much about how it cools the entire room. I use the function where it changes speeda according to the temp of the room and it feels great! Blows strong and is a little noisy but its to be expected from a fan. I absolutely love the remote control as it means I don’t have to get up every time I want to change the setting and the little storage area for the control on the back of the fan is conveniently placed so when not in use you know where it is. Would definitely recommend 👍

  18. The fan I received made a rattling noise that kept us up at night. It started fine, nice and quiet but started making the rattling noise off and on to where it was annoying. Contacted Hector from Dreo Support and was taken care of in a very short period of time. He asked for a video of the noise and once I sent it to him, he immediately responded that a replacement fan would be shipped to me via UPS. That is customer and product support. Five stars for Hector and the support team.

  19. My husband and I wanted a fan for our bedroom that would make a soft fan noise and provide a nice breeze. The goal was to be more comfortable while we sleep. The bladeless aspect is perfect! It makes a soft noise, no annoying noises while it oscillates, and has great settings for lower or higher speeds. It’s exactly what we needed. We had previously purchased a tower fan that had blades and it made a terrible noise. This fan doesn’t do that! Get this one!!!

  20. I wanted something “cute” in the kitchen and this fit the bill. It’s pretty powerful for the size and a nice little fan for when the kitchen gets too warm while cooking.
