I have to say, this was a good purchase. Let me say that it is indeed easy to use compared to a paste wax. But let me also say, it is not as easy to use as a spray wax. Let’s be honest, for ease of use, you cannot beat a good spray wax like Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax and Meguiar’s Ultimate Quick Wax. This product, the Buttery Wet Wax, has a thick consistency and there will be some resistance during the application. It is really like melted butter. That is why you should also buy the applicator pads to make things easy for you. The product will remove easily after application.This is a carnauba product and will thus provide great shine. The shine is superior to what you get with the spray waxes that I listed above. However, know that the synthetic spray waxes that I mentioned above will last longer on the paint and they have superior water beading properties. I bought this Buttery Wet Wax to try it out. I am pleased with the results. I am pleased with the product. There is a place for it in your car care arsenal. However, I think for my needs, the spray waxes are a better fit. I have two cars. They are older, higher mileage vehicles. Shine is not my main concern any more. Protection of the paint and the sheet metal is my priority. For that, a less shiny but longer lasting product is a better choice for me.Your car’s paint and its clear coat have two jobs to do: protect the metal and give a pleasing appearance. A clear coat that is no longer shiny may no longer do the best job of making the car look good but it is still doing its job of protecting the sheet metal from the elements. For that reason, I do not use buffers and polishers on my cars. Not ever. Because I do not like to remove any clear coat material from my car. I would rather live with a few scratches and a less shiny appearance than to sacrifice some of the clear coat for the sake of appearance. I do not like that trade off. Obviously, car detailers have never made any money off of me! Some may tell you that in order to seal your car properly, the top layer of the clear coat must be removed in order for the sealant to bond properly. I do not think that is entirely true. Yes, a sealant will bond better to a perfectly clean and buffed surface, but that sealant is not going to provide as good a protection as your clear coat. To me, it’s better to leave the clear coat alone. Regular use of a good quality wax, whether synthetic or carnauba, is fine even for scratched paint. As long as the surface is fairly clean of dust and dirt, the wax will stick. Buffing removes clear coat material. If your main goal is to protect the sheet metal for as long as you can, then you do not want to remove any clear coat just for the sake of making the paint look good.Whatever your goal might be and whatever the condition of your paint, this product will offer an improvement in appearance. And if you apply it often, it will provide protection from the elements. Granted, it will not bead water as strongly as the spray products mentioned above but this Buttery Wet Wax has enough protection to make the water slide away from the paint. It is an excellent product and one of the best products of its kind in its price range.Some people do not like the hydrophobic spray waxes like the ones that I listed above. They can irritate your lungs. Think about it. Any surface they coat will want to repel water. So what happens when the fine mist gets in your contact lenses? Depending on how much of the mist gets into your contact lenses, you can kiss those lenses goodbye. Yes, those spray waxes are very effective at pushing water away. I wear a disposable paper filter for my nose and mouth when I spray my car with those products. They can irritate your lungs. For those who do not want to wear a mask or for those who wear contact lenses, try a liquid wax like Buttery Wet Wax instead of a synthetic spray wax. You will notice less irritation from your contact lenses. A liquid wax is probably the better alternative if you are sensitive to the spray waxes. Do you notice irritation from your eyes after using a spray wax? Do you cough after spraying your car with wax? Now you know why. Don’t get me wrong. I use spray wax more than any other type because they are easy to use. But I take precaution and use a filter, like the disposable ones you can buy from the hardware store, whenever I wax the cars. I absolutely love this stuff. If you are serious car buff and like to keep you vehicles looking their best this is a must have product.I came across detail spray for the first time when I used clay bar on my black 2007 300C. As part of the process of using clay bar you keep the surface wet with detailing spray. After the clay bar process you apply wax. Anyone who owns a black vehicle knows how the wax can smudge when being removed leaving wax swirls behind that can be hard to get off without a lot of elbow grease or a buffer. What I found is using detail spray and micro fiber clothe, after removing the bulk of the wax, makes getting the rest of the wax off, and any smudging left behind, super easy. And it really brings out the shine.After I ran out of the original detail spray that came with the clay bar kit I purchased the Meguiar’s Ultimate Quick Detailer. I am a huge fan of the Meguiar’s Ultimate Liquid Wax and wanted to stay with the product line. This stuff if the bomb. I use it like I described after waxing a vehicle, but I also use it every time I wash my car as well. Even though the Meguiar’s wax hold up real well, the detail spray adds a polymer coating that makes the car’s surface feel like glass and any water just beads up. The micro fiber clothes just slide across the surface. In fact if you leave something on top of the car be careful it will slide right off – no joke. It only take a few extra minutes after drying to quickly spray and buff out the vehicle using micro fiber clothes. I normally just do the horizontal surfaces that get the most sun exposure and it really beings out the shine and extends the time between waxing too. Seriously I wax my car maybe once or twice a summer (I store my car over the winter) and the combination of the Meguiar’s wax and detail spray keeps water beading up the entire summer. And my car is not kept in the garage either. I also spray it on my sunroof glass and windows and it acts like any of the rain repellent sprays on the market so there is that too.So yes, I definitely recommend this product…..however, there is one caveat when it comes to this product working as it should. You need a very smooth surface for it to be at it’s best. And in my opinion and years of experience, the only way to achieve that smooth surface is to clay bar your vehicle. I would guess that any negative reviews on this product are related to the surface not being smooth like glass. Yes it will still work without a clay bar finish, but the difference is pretty significant.To be honest, I have not read the reviews since it does not matter. I know what I am talking about….trust me. Do yourself a favor and clay bar your vehicle. It is not that difficult – I do it every spring, and the results are nothing short of amazing. Even a brand new car needs clay bar. Just sitting on the lot they can get contaminants on the surface that can only be removed with clay bar. If you run your hand on the surface of your car or truck’s hood or deck, and it makes a noise like rubbing on paper and does not feel like glass, your car needs to be clay barred. Once you try it you will never not do it again.

I grew up on old school paste wax like rain dance. Waxing a car was felt like three hours of cross fit. It was hard work but the results were satisfying. Fast forward to today. I’m much older and use phrases like work smarter not harder. I have tried many different waxes from paste to gel to liquid to spray. The labels make their wax sound like something borne of alien technology. I didn’t find anything that impressed me until I happened upon NXT.It took a few times but now I am very happy with the result and my shoulders, elbows, hands, wrists, back and neck are happy as well. Follow the directions and you’ll get good results. I experimented and found these tips to make a difference in the wax quality and the longevity:* apply sparingly. I know the label says that. But it’s easy to fall into the “just a little more” trap. The wax should be so thin you can only see it when looking at your car from an angle. We are talking tracing-paper thin here. Yeah. That thin.* wipe on. There’s no need to grind the wax with all your power and might. Save that for the gym. Just a little pressure in nice even swirls is fine. In fact you don’t even need swirls but old habits are hard to break. I have experimented with a simple back and forth application and didn’t see a difference.* let it dry. Forget the old technique of wax a part of the car, remove the previous part, move on to next part of the car. Apply NXT to the entire car in a nice cool garage. Then let it sit. Go make some coffee. Have a beer. Watch some tv. Take a nap. Seriously. This is when NXT does it’s alien magic. I wash the car the night before. Then I put NXT on in the morning. Then I head off to spend my day doing whatever. I come back to the car in the late afternoon and give it an easy wipe down with a microfiber cloth. Viola! :-)* if I have the time I’ll put on two coats of NXT over two weekends. The double hit seems to give it a little more lasting power, but it’s not necessary for great results.I live in northern nevada where the weather is harsh for car wax. Searing heat, high elevation, snow/ice/road salt. You get the picture. Overall NXT does the trick for me.

I am not a professional. I have only used cheaper products in the past. What I can say is this is well worth the money. I applied on our Forester the Jescar Power Lock Plus (not ceramic) first, then the next day applied the Collinite 845. It immediately stormed bad the next day of course. High winds, lots of dust with rain. It looked like mud rain on everything. Car was surprisingly clean but still dirty. Couldn’t have asked for anything better tbh. Did not wash it again for about 6 months which included a very hot summer. After doing the wash after 6 months, it came clean easily and to my surprise it still beaded and had great coverage. People commented about how the paint looks brand new. Used the combo recently on my Tundra. Paint isn’t perfect, has some brush scratches. Hid a fair amount of those surprisingly well. Paint feels incredibly slick.Just follow directions and you will be happy! Don’t apply Jescar on a hot day in the sun. Use on a cool day in the shade. I let it sit for an hour before buffing, and Give at least 3 hours before next the Collinite. Warm up the Collinite in a warm bowl of water so it’s a liquid and apply thin. You will get lots of uses out of this bottle. Both are easy to apply and buff off incredibly easy. Could use this combo twice a year and your paint will love you.

I’ve been using Turtle Wax since my first car more than 40 years ago and simply it is a reliable product that always produces an amazing shine! I realize people want easy and just to wipe something on and be done but you are going to have to put a little effort here, but it will be well worth it.It’s easy to see when the car is in need of waxing and this seemed to be the right time to do it before the winter weather is fully here. Again, it will take a little longer than some products you just wipe on, but they aren’t going to last nearly as long as the coating you will get from Turtle Wax and for me, it’s very gratifying to see the shine when I wipe that paste off.While there are other products out there, you can’t go wrong with Turtle Wax and I’ve trusted them with all of my cars for more than four decades.

I’ve been using Nu Finish on my cars and bicycles for years, and am always impressed by how easy it is to apply and especially how long the protection lasts. Unlike wax out of a can (like Turtle wax) this goes on easily as a liquid and dries fast. It’s also easy to remove. I typically work in batches, like the front of the car first, followed by the rear. Even after lots of rain and snow, the water continues to bead up — just like would expect from a quality wax. I suspect one coating would last a year, but I typically apply it twice in my winter climate just to make sure. Once when it warms up in the early spring, and again in the late fall before the snowfall comes. Like most such products, you don’t want to apply this in direct sun. But in mostly shaded areas or late in the day, it works great. I’ve even applied it at night in the garage, and that works well too. Recommended.

I’ve applied this product to several vehicles, including dark colored and light colored paint. This liquid wax is definitely very easy to apply and fool proof. I’ve mistakenly gotten some on trim and plastics and haven’t seen any ill effects. Even when applied too thick, it doesn’t become hard to buff out and is very forgiving. Also, I’ve had no problems applying this in direct sunlight or applying on glass as de facto rain repellent. Even though the gloss is good, I’m afraid it is relatively short lived. For a car that is kept outside, I think I get (generously) a month of protection. The benefit of gloss and visual appeal is pretty much gone within two weeks. So is it good? Yes. Would I buy it again? Probably not. There are other products out there that are comparable in price, but much more durable. As you can tell from my description of the product and amateurish application technique, I’m not a professional detailer but a DIY guy. If I’m going to spend the time to apply wax to an entire vehicle, I would like for it to last a bit longer. But that’s just me.

I prepped the car with a good wash followd by Meguiar’s clay/lubricant treatment before applying the wax. Followed up with Meguiar’s Carnuba GOLD wax and am really pleased with the results.

Just tried it today. I have a Honda Ridgeline, and it took about an hour to apply. My truck is four years old and it looks as good as it did the day I bought it.I don’t know how long this Hybrid Wax will last, but it sure looks good now!

Been using this product for years and it has out perform the high dollar products I have tried hand’s down.
