I have course gray hair, and this product leaves my hair soft with a little hold. I would like a bit more hold, but still love it.

Bottle wasn’t full. It was short at least a couple of ounces. Otherwise a great product.

I use this after detangling and using a moisturizing curling cream. The labeling is different from the product in-stores. However, upon checking the official carols daughter website, I see they offer two different label designs.I’ve have gotten consistent product after ordering twice. The first one being a year ago and the recent one being today. They smell nice but far too strong!!! Very headache inducing.It does makes my hair unbelievably soft and smooth. The first time I used it (a year ago) I did not like it. I realize I did not use it correctly. My hair was dry and that’s a huge NO-NO! I’ve since learned a lot more about my hair and always moisturize first before applying anything oily. The shine is great! This is basically grease.. just without buildup or petrolatum. Once I add water to my hair it dissolves.

I got this product for my son because he has long wavy hai.. He has trouble brushing his hair and it gets tangle a lot. So this cream helps a lot. Spray some water on the hair brush it then apply cream as much as needed. It’s like putting lotion on you but you doing it on the hair. Once apply brush the hair and you will see the difference. It keeps the hair untangle, keeps it shine and smooth. Also it helps him because he plays sports so the hair is easy to tied. I recommend it. The small bottle can last over 3 months depends how much you use and trust me the price is worth it.

Ordered this because my older hair treatment is no longer made. Very quick delivery. I have been using this for a couple months and let me say that it really likes my hair!! I do not color my hair. I would describe my hair as being more salt than pepper. I always have a problem with frizziness, especially in the front of my face and ears. No matter what I did, nothing helped. Since starting this product, I no longer have that issue. I wash, add a little moose, blowdry and then use a curling iron. After, I use a squirt and 1/2 of this hair cream, rub it between my hands and then I run my hands through my hair, using my hands to style, WAH-LA, no frizziness plus I get a great shine. I’m beyond happy and plan to order again. My hair is short, thick, natural curly/wavy and I expect the bottle to last a long time because you do not need much. The fragrance is a bonus. An update to my original review below. I started using this product in December being very impressed by the Rosemary Mint shampoo, oil and masque I had previously purchased. Although the gel is in a 2oz container (without tamper proof protection – which is disconcerting) I have to say that just a little goes a long way. I use this daily and it will probably be the beginning of March before I need to purchase again. So with my usage it probably lasts three months.Although this appears to be marketed for women and particularly those of African descent – Mielle’s Rosemary Mint products are suitable for ALL hair types, regardless of race and gender. I am an aging Caucasian male with fine, thinning, grey hair and my wife is Asian with strong thick hair. We both love the Mielle Rosemary Mint range of hair products.My method of applying the Rosemary Mint Edge Gel: after shampooing and while hair is still damp, take a very small amount of the gel and with fingertips stroke it over combed hair. Comb again to style. When hair is dry, comb out. Result: a natural soft style without the glue-like residue or brittleness of commercial gels.Use of the Mielle Rosemary Mint range leaves the scalp clean and refreshed. I highly recommend this product but wish that it would come with a tamper proof seal.— Previous review below —The Mielle Organics Rosemary range of products are generally wonderful. The shampoo, masque, rosemary hair oil are all reasonably priced per quantity and quality. I ordered the Rosemary “Edge Gel” which only comes in a 2oz size and costs $6.99. It arrived without tamper proof protection and appeared to be around 5/8ths full which caused me to wonder whether someone else had sampled it along the way. An 8oz tube of conventional hair gel costs around the same. The product works fine – but miserly in quantity and therefore too expensive. I would suggest that Mielle Organics at least double the quantity for that price. I am also puzzled why they market their product as “By women for women”. That cuts out a good portion of the population. There is nothing overtly feminine about the herb Rosemary – which has been in popular use as a medicine, topical application, cleanser and culinary herb for centuries.

Despite the cost this stuff is great. Less than a dimes worth conditions my hair well. My boyfriend bought it but he used a lot more each use

PROS: Lightweight, compact, easy to use, non-messyCONS: Hair can get caught up in the wandGreat for quick fixes like baby hairs and small fly aways. Use short strokes because if you try to follow the length of hair it will get stuck in the wand. Overall, I think it’s a great product. It’s basically gel with a máscara wand.
