I’m the biggest doofus when it comes to “home improvement products.” I do have a skill set. I’m simply not into power drills, tool boxes or tools. All that scares the daylights out of me. Pros: easy to install, the Velcro goes on first. Then the door draft situation sticks brilliantly to Velcro. Oh, happy day! What do I use it for: my apartment is on a very busy corridor; people chat, chase children; it’s the grand central station of my high rise. Neighbors loudly exchange, in Russian, recipes for pound cake. They’re practically speaking through thin walls, into my space. I’m not having that. Thank you for creating this product. It serves as a noise cancellation. Best part? It works. I did want to hear about the pound cake recipe. I speak Russian. I resisted the urge to barge right in to their lengthy conversation. Ha!
1. It does reduce the noise since we have a big gap of 1” under the door when we change our floor from carpet to laminate.2. The velcro is too short so when I folded it to the size of the door, there was no velcro to attach to. I only folded it and the door keeps it for me.3. When you fold it, it does not look as nice as I thought. Look at the corner of the door, it is really ugly.4. I really dont like the color. I dont know why they only make it in black while 99% of the doors selling in the market are not in black. It is just so standout and obvious. In addition, as it swepts the floor whenever you open or close the door, it gets all the dirts and the black color only shows them more obvious.Overall, it does what it is supposed to do but not in the best way that I expected.

When looking for quick, inexpensive weather proofing items for our home during this winter soon to be Utility rate hike I ordered 5 of these based on the number of reviews 10k!I ended up ordering 11 more for all our doors because why not at this price vs. wasting heat.Packaging and instructionsThe packaging is very professional and smart. Instructions are clear although you won’t need them as they are self explanatory and easy to install.LookI have to be honest that I wasn’t impressed at the look of these upon first glance but that opinion changed very quickly.I placed them on the backside of the doors where I could to minimize seeing them.Material and cleaningThe material is actually going to make them very easy to keep clean.And I like that it’s held on by Velcro so they can be removed for east e clean up and storage when not in use. Also makes it easy to replace as needed.We have a drafty closet that I’m going to try something on…update and pictures to be supplied soon.This is not a sponsored post btw (wish😉)
First, I measured my front door, it was 34”. I put together both styrofoam cylinders and then measured each one to make sure each one was exactly 34”. Next, carefully slid the cylinders into the cloth. Measured AGAIN to make sure each side was still exactly 34” and adjusted, if necessary. There was only a very small piece of cloth to fold over, but the Velcro reached (just barely). Then I slid the piece of Velcro that was supposed to be attached to the door under the door first, to make sure it would be stuck to the hinged side of the door. Slid the draft stopper in fully (it was a perfect fit), pulled the paper backing off the adhesive strip, stuck it on the hinged side of the door, closed the door and voilà the job was finished. It slides effortlessly over the carpet and I have no doubt the cold winter drafts will be kept at bay from now on. In the summer, I also hope it keeps the air conditioned air inside, I highly recommend this item.
I needed this for an apartment door that goes directly to the outside. I am trying to keep bugs/dirt out, as well as provide a draft barrier. Overall, product works well, just when the lawn crew comes around and blows the sidewalk, things still blow in from the door. The good part is its not nearly as much as it was, so this product works well

Replaced a rubber draft stopper that was attached with a metal strip at an entry door.When the Velcro adhesion was not as good as expected, I reused the metal strip from our old rubber draft stopper by screwing it over the Velcro into the door. That fixed all adhesion issues. The manufacturer should consider adding a metal strip and screws option to this product.Good product with room for improvement.
Very flat, clean, and sleek look! Adhesion is fantastic! I did use a hair dryer to warm up the adhesive. I did not clean the door and it was flaky after pulling the old draft stopper.I wish I would have installed it a bit lower so I could reap all the benefits of light blockage, sound proofing and bug proofing. Maybe draw some lines as a guide when installing. I was afraid it would touch the floor and wouldn’t be flexible enough to drag so I didn’t make it as low as I should have.
I have tried many things to stop the draft that comes in under the doors of our 100+ year old house. These are the absolute best! I did not adhere them to the doors, because I didn’t want to damage the finish (original, unpainted wood); but, I don’t need to, because these snug right up to the door and don’t move. I am very happy with them. I bought two for our back and living room doors. I am going to buy one more for our front door.
Part of me says this is complete hot garbage, the other part says it will do the job. Meh
I wish I had taken a picture before and after installation to show you the difference! It works so well! I had a huge space between my floor and the back door. The back door is connected to my laundry room and with it starting to get cold, I dreaded going back there because I could feel the cold air coming through the gap and I was FREEEEZING! Now I don’t have to throw on a hoody and sweatpants to do my laundry! My only regret is that I didn’t get this sooner. It was easy to install, you can adjust it to the size of your door and that’s easier than the install, and it wasn’t a budget breaker!
Very heavy, adorable and stays in place.I did not use the adhesive because I just got a brand new door and did not want to chance ruining it but the two of them locked into making one big door stopper across my door +2 side windows (almost 72”), and no more draft.Also, bought one for the door leading into my basement and now the landing is not cold anymore, they really work.

Using this on sliding doors during the winter. They’re pretty firm and haven’t found a need for the adhesive. They’ve got enough weight to stay in shape and in place. I have no way to tell if they’re actually doing anything so this is about all I can say. Maybe I could order a temperature gun and do some testing? Maybe when they add more hours in the day. It took 30 seconds to get ready. It was nice and tight under the door. I got this because the heat is out at my apartment and they are using a kerosene heater in the lobby that is stinking up the whole place. I didn’t want those fumes in my unit! I hope this keeps out the stink!
I bought another (shorter) 1/2″ deep 2 yrs ago. I had to double it up because the space (and draft) under the door is huge. This yr I bought the Holikme which covers a whole inch below the door. Fabulous! It adheres well to the door and stopped the draft. I’m really pleased with it. If I ever need more, I’d buy the same again.
