This feeder is just the right size for our brooder without taking up a lot of space. We like it so much we went back and got a second one!

Love this product! It is in our covered run so not directly in the elements but shows no sign of wear & tear after about 6 months. I was surprised how easily the chickens learned how to operate the feeder. Followed the instructions and they learned right away. Still funny to watch them operate the feeder, some walk up gently and some slam their foot down. My grown hens took to it easily and then my younger pulleys learned easily as well.
My chickens love eating out of it and it’s nice to be able to place it off the floor.
I bought this to feed my backyard squirrels, it is very convenient for them to get the peanuts, but the for the blue jays, which used to take most of them. If you like feeding squirrels but are tired of blue jays costing you all kinds of money, buy this you won’t be disappointed
I had these feeder ports installed in less than 10 minutes. They are high quality, durable and very clean looking. They have the seal of approval from all of my chickens and Guinea fowl. No leaking or feed access issues found. Worth every penny!!
…It is more of a FORTY pound feeder.Using a 40 Lb bag of layer pellet, I can go from absolutely empty to a little spillage over the top.Maybe mash would get more in, but 50? I doubt it.Other than that, I have it mounted in the chicken barn so I can’t comment on it’s weather “tightness” or resistance to rust. So far, so good though.The birds and I like it.
These are great. Easy to install. The only learning curve I had was to get the bucket up off the ground. It’s best to have the hole at about beak level, otherwise they have to do some yoga to get to the food and it causes them to waste food as it gets pulled out.
Took too much time to assembly. I had to really loosen so would close. Now it’s not completely closing again..seems wood chips end up under the stand part when chickens scratch or more from wind which caused cover to hand open a bit. But sparrows have stopped having a buffet now!
This water/feed combo is fine. The feet and hanger are a nice touch for the waterer. The water level is higher than I’d like (higher than my TSC waterer) due to a design tweak for the “anti-drown” feature. Other than that, I’m happy with ’em!
