I use this to cook outside on my back porch. It works great! and I like how you can adjust the heat level. You do have to use a pan that works with induction, like a heavier pan or a skillet. My small non-stick one didn’t work.

Ok I have mixed feelings about this burner or hot plate, it heats up extremely fast boiled my soup like a champ definitely then today I cooked some hash browns and I had to keep turning the knob to Med then after a while it switched off the light then I turned the knob down from Med then brought it back up to Med and the light clicked back on so yeah it heats up quick at first but you have to keep watch over it because you have to keep that heat up enough to cook your food.Now when I first got mine the box was open on one side and the hot plate looked as though it had been used but I was desperate and needed to cook so I went on ahead and used it! It doesn’t exactly lay flat instead it tilts and it’s like I had to hold on to my skillet to keep it from flipping over. But if you need someplace to cook your food then I do recommend this burner umm the price was good I don’t know the shelf life of this but I hope it lasts until the end of this year! It doesn’t give off any smell no chemical burning as of yet there was some smoke but that’s because it gets extremely hot during first use! Yeah I needed this and I can now cook my food!

Luv it. Was a lot of work cutting out the drywall with the jigsaw and the dust storm was wild went everywhere all over my bedroom, but that is construction work for you. Support is a joke so don’t expect any from the 2 numbers listed in the manual, only 1 of which works. A Chinese accented lady answered only to tell me she knew nothing.It arrived with some damage no one would ever see unless it was installed. The touch capacitor connection junction screw that holds the overlay covering was bent. But thus far has not caused any functional issues. (Crosses fingers)The manual is lacking info for example: the power icon flashes then later stops after you turn it off/on again what the heck is that about. I thought about it….and time will tell as I discern it further. It could be to let you know that the heater was / is on and hot to the touch for the front facing top center element, until it is cool then possibly stops blinking is one thought thus far. Hopefully it is not an error flash or warning. But who knows? Zero support.The remote needs to be RF instead of IR line of sight only. The front panel on the lower right side you can see the touch capacitive buttons that illuminate which gives it a new high tech feel not seen on legacy geriatric fireplace models. So…would I buy it again? Oh yes! Very reasonably priced and comes in many sizes. To gain full function of the front panel touch sensor controls I had to 1st turn off the units power on the top right. 2nd unplug for a few minutes. 3rd turn on the units power. I tested it later but did not have to do the power cycle aforementioned so your mileage may vary. I also discovered why the power red LED button flashes. It means you activated the timer function from 1-8 hours. YW!

I bought this double hot plate mainly for emergencies. I have no gas in my house, or a propane grill. I have plenty of emergency food, but nothing to cook it on if the power goes out. I do have a gasoline generator that I will surely use in an emergency, so I decided that an electric hot plate was my best choice. I know I could have bought one of those butane stoves, or something that runs off of propane. But I just didn’t want to have to keep a stock of both gasoline and butane/ propane. This hot plate is also very portable.

I purchased this to use in our RV. Our gas stove will not regulate down low enough to simmer some items, but this works great for that. I haven’t tried to boil a large pot of water for cooking pasta, but I bet it won’t have a problem. For the moment I’ve been testing it in our kitchen for various cooking demands and it has worked well for all.The temperature control works well enough, but it has somewhat longer cycle times than I am used to. Depending on the temperature setting it may be on (indicator light on) for two minuets, and then cycle off for two minutes, so there can be a long “coast period”. This is no deal breaker, it just takes some getting used to.Be prepared it has a short (28″ long) power cord, although they say you can use an adequate gauge extension cord. A 5′ or 6′ length would have been a much better choice.Yes, I would purchase this again, and recommend it to others.

My family bought this as we don’t currently have a working stove. I thought I would be able to make a few small things on it, maybe scrambled eggs or pancakes. But it turns out that it works so much better than I thought it would. The heat seems to be evenly distributed and it heats up quickly. I haven’t tried boiling water with it, but I’ve cooked things like veggie burgers, steamed veggies, scrambled eggs, fried eggs and even ramen (I cook mine in a pan with very little water). It has excelled at everything so far. It is very easy to clean and easy to store. I”ll likely keep using it in the future when we have extra dishes to use during the holidays or even if we ever decide to go camping. I highly recommend this.

Because of this induction burner I am able for the first time in years I can cook at the kitchen table from my wheel chair. This is gives me a huge sense independence and has boosted my self esteem beyond words. I feel like I’m living again instead of being a burden to my family. . Now that winter is approaching I’m excited about the prospects of making soups and stews for my husband and myself.As far as the induction burner, the reason I purchased this brand was because of all the excellent reviews it received on Amazon. The reviews are correct, it’s an excellent product and not overly expensive. I find it easy to use and I love the well light controls makes it easy to read, even with my Cataracts.
