I really like these collapsible hoses for certain applications. This one claims to be super tough, but only time will tell that. Even the cheapos look good when you first get them. It doesn’t feel cheap, but again, only time will tell.There are pros and cons to this type of hose vs traditional. The biggest is weight. This one is 100′ and it is feather light in my hand. Anyone can tote this thing around. A big con is that they aren’t their full length when there is no water in them. They’re growers, not show-ers. The build up of pressure from the water is what causes them to expand. When you turn them off and drain them, they shrink back up.This is a good feature in some ways and bad in others. For instance, collapsing down on it’s on makes it easier to move around. Conversely, you can’t leave them fully extended for applications like watering the lawn. If you need to hook multiple hoses together to reach a far away part of your lawn to water, these are great as far as weight. However, because of it’s capacity to contract, it’s not going to reach the furthest area till it has water in it, which adds weight. This means you also won’t be able to leave it sitting there and turn it on and off to water. If you turn the pressure off, the hose is going to contract and pull your sprinkler out of the ground or your tripod back toward your tap.There are things that mitigate this. For instance, there is a brass ball-valve. You can shut this off so you’re not being sprayed in the face by a sprinkler and as the water hose expands, drag it to where you want it. It still remains comparatively light weight if you do this. Even full of water, it weighs less than a traditional hose. The downside being that you’ll have to turn the knob on the ball valve and run.The ball-valve itself is an issue for me. I’ve had those break many times over the years when I buy them separately for applications. The handle is brass as well, not plastic, which helps, but if it breaks in a way where the handle spins, but the ball valve stays shut, then the hose is ruined. You can’t cut the bad part off and add a new end like a traditional hose.Also, the extension of the hose, like I said, depends on the pressure of the water build up in it. I haven’t used it for this application yet, but I suspect that if you use a pressure washer with this hose, it’ll draw water through it fast enough to reduce the pressure and cause it to begin contracting and shrinking. I don’t know that, but it’s definitely something I’ll be looking at.So the pros of this hose are light weight and portability. I think the benefits of a standard hose are reparability, durability, and full extension. It’s not a replacement so much as an alternative that’s better for certain situations. It’s definitely worth having, but I won’t be getting away from traditional hoses just yet.

I was in the market for a garden hose. I buy one roughly every year to a year and a half. I usually buy from a big box store or a nursery. I’ve spent money on those premium commercial grade hoses and I’ve spent money on those metal hoses as well. I’ve always had problems that made those hoses less than ideal.1. the commercial are allegedly “tough”. Well, they’re also heavy and unwieldy. It’s a chore to loop them back or take them off my hose wheel. In addition, I don’t know what I do but I invariably get leaks. I spent more money on commercial grade hoping that it would work but I have numerous leaks. If I’m spending close to a hundred dollars, i need my product to last for at least 2 years and survive my violent usage.2. The metal one is nice. it’s light weight but a bit pricey when I bought it and the length was a little short. (I think it’s a 50 ft and I needed a 75ft) My problem was that I don’t want to spend money AND when it gets sunny, that hose burns my hands. So far, I’ve had my metal one and no leaks. It’s nice if you don’t have to deal with hot weather/sun. I use it run water to the other side of the house. I use it more like plumbing devise.3. This one. I needed a new hose. The metal one wasn’t working out. I saw this one and thought “it can’t be any worse than the commercial one. It’s definitely cheaper”Let’s put the cons in first. The fittings feel cheap. It wasn’t a big deal for me because I was going to (and I have) put in those quick change fittings. It’s just easier when I have to water various plants around my home. So the fittings weren’t a deal breaker. In addition, I got a solid sprinkler hose sprayer and it feels solid. It’s not a piece of junk so when my current hose sprinkler head breaks, I’ll use this one. That’s the end of the cons.The pros- It’s lightweight. When you are hauling a 75 feet of hose, you really don’t want to haul a 75 feet of hose. (My “commercial” grade was a hundred 100ft) . The water pressure expands the hose and I have had no problems with the length. Just measure what your required length is and pick the one that – when expanded – will reach that length. It also shrinks as you empty it out at the end so you don’t have to haul it back to put it away.As you can tell, I’m a bit .. abusive. I’ve got loads of things that snag on my hoses from various raised beds to pots of plants to other outdoor standard equipment like grills and chairs. I usually get my first hose leak within a summer. (I use duct tape and prayers to last me through the season.) I have not pulled out the duct tape on this hose and I have not been gentle. I’m shocked.I never realized how much I detested the bulky, stiff, thick heavy garden hoses. This one is just perfect for me. At the price, it’s even better. I won’t cry when I break this one. It’s easy for me to put away which means that I’m more likely to put the hose away rather than throwing it on the drive way and running away.Bottom line -I like this product a lot. Can you tell? It’s a god send to have such a sturdy lightweight hose that does what it’s supposed to do. Your mileage may vary but this is one very happy gardener.The overall star is just because of the fittings. I heartily encourage people to buy the quick change adapters. Even if the fittings were perfect, it makes life easier to use the quick changes.I also put the durability at a 4. After all, it’s still gardening season and I have an impressive murder rate on my garden hoses. It’s managed to survive this long so I’m optimistic that this just might be the last hose I buy.. Hey, I can dream.

Have had the hose not even 3 months and it has already blew a leak in the outer jacket of the hose . The one we had bought previously is 3 years old and working great . I would like to get a replacement for this but I am not overly optimistic that will happen .

I needed a hose that wasn’t too heavy and I could manage on my own. This one is perfect. It is lightweight and folds up really easily when the water is drained from it. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my front yard.

I love the hose, it’s very lightweight, very easy to maneuver and worked great for two years. It sprung a leak this summer and I sent an email the other website because of a lifetime warranty, and I did not hear back from them. However I contacted them through Amazon and the customer service rep said he had not seen an email come through from me but will take care of the issue right away, I had a new hose within two days. Even though it leaked after only a couple of years, it was still the best hose I’ve used yet out of many hoses like this. And with the warranty, you can’t beat it!

Bought in May – had a big leak in September. The hose wasn’t even used much.UPDATE: A few days after posting this review, the company contacted me and wanted to make certain I was satisfied. They shipped me a new hose at their expense and it was received today. I rarely see this type of customer care and applaud this company for their quick response. I will certainly buy again from them.

Have to be very careful that you don’t run the hose over any object that can put a hole on the inner hose that is plastic.

The hose is great – the nozzle that comes with it makes a noise when you use it… I bought a different one…also the water pressure is different with this hose… not sure why…

I bought this garden hose because I’ve been eyeballing this type of hose for a while now. I really do like this hose. I have bushes, plants, etc. that need watering and in the heat of the summer they need an extra drink. I don’t like dragging my regular garden hoses out to do that because they are a pain in the arse to get out and put away. NOT SO WITH THIS! This hose is not for use with power washers, it’s for running water from point A to point B. I can actually water all I need and then turn the water off and watch it shrink back down to storage size. It comes with a hanger that will hold the hose when not in use. I tried using the hose to wash a car and it works just fine. I don’t believe it would stand up to a lot of pressure so I let it run in the grass instead of using the nozzle to cut the water off. I am glad I bought it and will update my review if it lasts a few seasons. I don’t expect it to last more than a couple years so maybe I’ll be surprised.

Bought the 75ft. hose on Prime Day. Love it! Love all the options of the flow of water the nozzle has. Also has an on/ of lever you can use when water is on. Hose expands as water runs through it and shrinks when you turn the water off. Haven’t had any issues with kinks. Definitely recommend and get the longer length if you can. Also comes with a small wall hanger

I got the 100ft one, and holy cow, my imagination of 100’ is very different compared to the actual distance this hose can go! The overall functionality of this hose is great-it does exactly what I need it to; and I love how the valve on the end allows me to hook it to the top of a chain link fence-pointing it in the direction I need it so I can see when the water from a well has drained from a distance.However, be it the bastard mesquite bushes being a contender I have yet to win against, or how the craftsmanship of the surface threads are, it does snag, and threads pull out of place. Crossing fingers that this has no bearing on the time of usage I potentially can have. It’s a nifty hose-I’d hate to replace it so soon.

When I originally got the product I was really shocked at how small it was and I thought, “this cannot be 100 feet”… It came in a nice bag with a storage hook as well. Then I read the directions and started using it and I was surprised by how easy it was to set up and use. It is very lightweight so that makes it easier for me to drag across the lawn to get to my plants on the other side of the house. It really is 100 feet and it doubles in size when it expands and then when you’re done using it you can release the pressure nozzle and it will drain itself – which is also really amazing for quick and easy storage or “winterizing” Against cold temperatures. This is 100 times better than any plastic or rubber hose I’ve ever used in the past. And because it is covered in a thick woven fabric material it feels a lot more durable against getting holes and leaks!

I hate traditional hoses! They are a pain to use, take a lot of time to unravel, rewind etc and I was looking for a better solution and purchased an expanding hose for 29 from Home Depot. It was junk, leaked and was not worth a penny I paid for it. I searched on Amazon and found the Flexi Hose which was almost double the price as the one I purchased and guess what? You get what you pay for. Follow the direction on how to use and the product will perform over expectations, It’s easy, it works and stores in a small space. I no longer dread having to water something as I did with traditional hoses.However, I did have an issue with one of the two that I purchased and the following happened.1. They got back to me right away2. I was able to get all of the info needed such as purchase date, serial number etc that was stored in my Amazon Orders and send to them3. Well, not when it comes to your garden hose, my friend.Order this hose today. Take the time in between it’s arrival and now, and forcefully remove your old hose. Kick it, stomp it and stuff it deep into your trash can. If it were legal, I’d say burn it while dancing around the firelight singing about how your hose will never kink again. It is not legal in most places, so don’t burn it, but you may still feel like dancing around the trash can. Please do.One note of caution: like any other beloved member of your household, don’t leave it outside in the blazing sun nor in the frigid cold. Bought this 75ft hose to water my greenhouse plants at work. Been using it quite heavily at work, often pulling it rather roughly across the concrete floor from the tap to the end of the greenhouse space. No leaks in the hose so far that will ruin my water pressure. Did my watering job efficiently when my drip lines are choked with dirt. The watering shower head comes with handy modes of spraying like soaker, shower and full (these are the ones I use for my job). Love the shower function as it got rid fo those dirts from the pots, soaker is indeed soaking…. watering the plants with gentle heavy stream of water. My coworker bought a 75 ft hose before me and his shower head came to me broken without the handle

This is what I’m hoping to us in my yard I will need three more to help water my whole yard. These hoses will be so much easier for me to pull around than my old ones.

First off let me say I love this hose for my ad hoc watering needs, so light and easy to use or to stow on the supplied rack I’ve mounted right beside my hose bib. I actually have two of these for two different hose bibs. The supplied nozzle is also excellent. Note the hose has to pressurize to expand out to its full length and for water to flow, which is why the (male) end has an integrated (variable) shut off valve. The hose expands rapidly and easily without any kinks, a real contrast to my experience with traditional hoses. The patterned cloth wrap on the hose is rugged and looks very sharp, whether stowed or in use. When you turn off the supply you obviously need to open the shut off valve to drain the hose to return it to its stowable form. The hose holds a considerable amount of water as it shrinks back, so keep a use in mind for all that water.So why not 5 stars? I think durability is suspect. One of mine failed at the bib connection after a year. No abuse or anything like that. The hose to fitting seal failed and it started spewing out the fitting where the hose enters it, so it was not a washer failure. I could probably have repaired it by cutting off the fitting and replacing it with a clamp on type, but opted to buy a new hose instead since I was not sure a how well the typical replacement fitting would hold up with an expandable, cloth wrapped hose. If it failed on one end I worry it could fail on the other, the one with the integrated shut off valve and so harder to repair should that happen.

I would say I am satisfied with this purchase. It does not exhibit leaks as others have mentioned. This hose was mostly purchased for car / motorcycle washes. For that need it should do fine.I realized instantly that this hose is not as high of quality in the sheathing material that goes around the actual hose portion. I have another hose that is half the length, and of much higher quality that I purchased from home depot. Both ends are reinforced with a metal sleeve and thick outer casing.That is not the case with this hose, it is a light gardening hose, meant to be disconnected between uses and stored inside or in a shed. Not left to the elements.I have been careful with this hose because it may not be able to hold up to much, but at the same time I didn’t spend $100 so I am happy.

I have used this hose for a couple of weeks now and so far I am super satisfied. The hose is lightweight and expands quickly. I live in the carribean so I water plants all year round. The hose came with a nice bag and nozzle that has many settings. Hose is easily emptied of water and is a breeze to hang up because it’s so light. Highly recommend.

So far so good, only had fot about 2 weeks. Does the job too early for durability.
