I have to admit. I have a problem. I’m addicted to water pressure. Just can’t live without it. And if high pressure showers are wrong, I don’t wanna be right!My version of a successful shower is the peace of mind of knowing that when I step out, one full layer of epidermis has been thoroughly expunged. I live for the feeling of pure, unadulterated water power pressure washing everything away.So imagine my disappointment when my first ever house purchase, though full of water pressure potential, left something to be desired. The cleansing ability lay dormant, with no device present to harness this latent power. Undeterred, I searched until the instrument of my shower salvation was discovered.The Speakman S-2252 Anystream is one of those dying breeds that lives by the ages old yet dying creed, “Do one thing, and do it well.” This shower head delivers power. Raw, unapologetic power. But that is something to be described a little later.The first thing you notice about this shower head is that, despite it’s rather diminutive size, it is hefty. There is no mistaking whether this item is made of quality materials. Gravity and mass make sure of that. Solid brass, made to last.The second trait is simplicity. There is no rotary dial with 100 settings. There is simply a lever on the side that moves the 8 nozzles on the face of the head in and out. When moved in the nozzles “squeeze” the water, like your finger covering the end of a hose, giving you defined jets of water and higher pressure. When moved out the nozzles allow free flow of water. Less pressure, but much higher flow. The beauty is that even with such simplicity, the lever can be stopped anywhere you like to adjust streams and pressure to your liking. You really do have the option of “Anystream”.Instructions for installation were included and were simple and clear. Like most shower heads, installation isn’t rocket science, but if you’ve never done it before, the instructions make it pretty difficult to mess up. Also included was a small roll of Teflon tape. I was quite pleased with this, as I had misplaced my own roll. I also was pleasantly surprised to find that there is probably enough tape included for 3 installs, so the rest was thrown into the toolbox to be put to future use.Then, to the moment of truth. I turned on the shower and no leakage. But the pressure. Oh! The pressure! I hadn’t even stepped into the shower, yet I knew I had found what I had been looking for. I could feel the rush of air as it moved out of the way of the water. I smiled. This was the moment I had been waiting for. I stepped in…I can only describe the shower experience with one word… Joy. My wife will testify to the fact that I was giggling like a schoolgirl the entire time. Like Michael Jordan clutching his first NBA championship trophy, I embraced the water as a long lost friend. This was what I had searched so long for. The perfect shower experience. When the nozzles of the head are turned out for full flow, it’s like having someone continually pour buckets of water on your head. Need to rinse off some soap? Done. In an instant. There is no waiting here. But, when you really want to step to the next level, turn that lever all the way over and you will be met with something only a step below a fire hose. On its highest setting, the jets that flew from this shower head stung me. That’s not an exaggeration. They literally stung. Some might not find that appealing. I, however, could do nothing but grin like the kid who just received his first bike.Am I satisfied with my purchase? Oh yes. This shower head is not for the faint of heart. But if you have the courage to enter the heart of darkness, you WILL emerge victorious. You will emerge refreshed. You may even be a new person. But one thing is sure. Your flesh will be cleansed.(One thing to note. As most shower heads do, this one came with a flow regulator pre-installed. It is a simple plastic piece fitted into the connector end of the head. If you are like me and don’t enjoy feeling restricted in your shower taking, you will want to remove this piece. Of all the things that I tried, I would recommend a pick or pointed Phillips screwdriver and a hammer. After fiddling with it for a few minutes trying other methods, one good whack with the screwdriver on the inner edge of the plastic had it dislodged immediately. I am more than happy that I removed this piece. However, considering just how absurdly good this shower head is, I would suggest trying it with the regulator in place first. I would have to think that it will be more than capable even with governmental shackles on it. When I purchase another one of these for the guest bathroom I will most likely leave the regulator in at first to compare. I will try to remember to update this review at that time when I do.)

This showerhead looks nice out of the box. It comes with some extra accessories in the box and the box is well designed. It includes a small spool of Teflon™ tape and 3 extra silicon nozzle (more on these later).Installation is easy as long as you follow the instructions and make sure to put the black rubber washers into the extension pipe connections before you screw the showerhead onto the extension and before you screw the extension onto your shower pipe. To adjust the angle and height, you’ll need to loosen up the wing-nuts on both sides of the extension pipe. Only loosen them just enough to be able to adjust the showerhead. If you loosen them too much, as others have mentioned, you’ll end up removing them because there’s only about 4 turns before the nut runs out of thread on the screw. It’s not a big deal, but it can be a little bit frustrating to rethread.IMPORTANT: It’s worth repeating: *Make sure to use the black rubber washers!” This will help with 99% of the leaking you might have, and likely accounts for the majority of the reviews that mention leaks.The majority of the negative reviews here can be explained by people not following the instructions. If you leave out the rubber washer *IT WILL LEAK*. You may or may not need the extra step of using the Teflon™ tape, but it’s a simple step. Use a 2-3 inch piece of the tape and wrap it clockwise around the threads overlapping a little. Tighten the connection, but don’t over-tighten it. Just tighten about a 1/4 turn more with a wrench after hand-tightening. Tightening too much could also cause leaking because too much pressure on the rubber washers could cause them to warp, in turn causing leakage. Using washers in plumbing has always been an issue — just look at all the faucets that advertise “washerless!” and this is why.Overall, I’d give this showerhead 5-stars except for a QC issue. When I received the showerhead (New, not used), it was missing 5 nozzles. I looked inside the box, but no nozzles, so they were missing when it was packaged. I had the extras that came with the showerhead, but there were only 3. After I used the included nozzles, there were still 2 holes without nozzles (see photo).In case anyone else has the same problem, I was able to use 2 spare erasers from a Pentel® mechanical pencil and they fit very well until I could get some replacements (see photo). They blocked 2 of the holes out of around a hundred (didn’t count them all — I could’ve if I’s wanted, but I didn’t want to :D).When I contacted the seller (via their customer support email), they sent me out some replacement nozzles (about 35 total!) which was excellent with regard to customer service. The only downside was having to wait about 8 days for the shipping. Once I took out the temporary erasers and installed the new nozzles, everything was great.The pressure is good, but not too powerful. I didn’t use the included pressure screen washer, but I could have if needed. There is also a spare in the included “extras”.To sum up, this is a very good quality item with respect to the design and the materials used. Their QC needs some work, but their customer service makes up for it . . . almost. So far, no leaking and no rusting. Our water turns things a rusty orange color after a period of time and other showerheads without removeable nozzles could be tough to clean. With this one, simply removing the nozzles and soaking them in a water-stain remover should restore them to normal. I have installed and enjoying this showerhead. It has met my expectations.

We went through like A FEW different shower heads and complete systems that also came with a hand-held. A couple of those were big name brands that advertised THE BEST flow, etc.Narrator: (They did not have good flow)You know those cheap shower heads that have good flow but no way to adjust them? You know those expensive ones that have like 50 settings but none of them give you good enough water flow? Yeah…This one has awesome flow, and the adjustment is a continuous turn—as in, it doesn’t click into one or the other setting. You can spin that little thing around 360° as it goes from full spread to narrow blaster mode and back again. We love this shower head. It was a reasonable enough price that we bought a diverter valve, a little arm, as well as a rainfall-style shower head that we can switch to with the diverter. For the same price, we previously bought some junk. If we just got this one to start with we would’ve saved a good amount of money.Our shower times are a fraction of what they used to be, and we feel more refreshed afterward. It’s worth more than you think.Of course, this doesn’t have a hand-held attachment. Know what? We’re really not missing it much. Just bend over slightly and it will blast those nether-regions just fine. And you don’t have to fiddle with an attachment.As for all that stuff about removing the screen: Don’t do it until you test it. We have average water pressure for the U.S., and this thing is great as-is (proof that those other name-brand ones we tried are just gimmicky). If you have low water pressure, though, maybe remove the screen. Don’t worry about it until you test it, though. Just screw it on and run it real quick without the plumber’s tape to get an idea before you fully install it.Also: After all the friggin’ shower heads we’ve gone thorough, here’s some tips: Before you install it, just screw it on without some tape all the way until you feel it hit the solid rubber washer. That will give you an idea at what point it starts to create a seal, and what orientation you want to start at. Put some extra plumber’s tape on there, a few more turns. It sucks getting your shower head all situated and then when you go to adjust it it comes loose. The extra tape allows you to get it more secure without over-crushing the rubber washer inside. Over, tightening the thing causes the rubber washer to squash out, and may even restrict the water flow, and you know we don’t want that.

Arrived in a timely manner. Read all instructions thoroughly. Make sure to check that the black washer is secured in the neck of the that shower head attaching to the actual pipe coming from your wall. Mine was slightly loose and needed to “poke it” snuggly into the attaching part of the shower head. I then proceeded to clean off the pipe threads from the wall from my former shower head and then, this is very important, took the “plumbers tape” and wrapped it twice around the extended pipe, tightly! Then I took my Culligan Shower Head and inserted the “filter” unscrewing that main portion of the shower head (easy.) Snapped that filter into it “click, click” then screwed that part back together. It is a “quality” shower head. Started to screw “clockwise” it onto the existing pipe with the plumbers tape. Tightened it down with my fingers first and then I did use the adjustable wrench to give it another couple of twists. I then adjusted the “ball dome” to the correct angle for me. Turned on the water and let it run for 5 minutes to assist in the filter to work as the directions told me to do (flushing it.) NO LEAKS. Later taking the shower, I adjusted the desired flow for me, easy to twist the gray flow knob)…. I must say my skin felt so much better after drying off and my shampoo lathered up much better than before. I have very hard water from the well and my skin was always “dry and itchy, including my scalp.” This was one of my better investments and purchases I have actually made. Should have done this much sooner. Worth any/all future “filter replacements” for months to come. No regrets here, period! Female installed!

I would have given a 5 stars but my package was missing the 2.5 GPM water resistor (extra bonus); however, you get way more water pressure when you leave those out anyway and just install the filter. They did throw in two shower caps. It’s very easy to install. The other thing it’s lacking tremendously is range of motion. You pretty much won’t be able to position it much at all; so I suggest them adding a small extension for the price or either you buy a separate one to go with this or just buy a shower head that comes with it for the same price and pressure. It’s made of hard plastic so we’ll see how long it last us.

Omg, if I could give it 10 stars I would. After much research, this was what I came up with. Please don’t hesitate to buy this shower head. I wouldn’t steer you wrong. I usually don’t hv time to do reviews but I always need others reviews to guide me. That’s why it was important to me to make time to write this review. It was so easy to install, I did take others advice & removed that pink shower flow inside the part of the shower head that you screw into existing. I tried it with & without. Hands down the best shower experience of my life. Out of all 6 settings, I can honestly say. I can use them all. Every member in my family loves this shower head, so much so. We all are taking an additional 20 minutes in the shower. I do not get paid nor given anything to write this review. This is just my honest opinion. You can’t go wrong. I will update this review on how long it lasts

I purchased this Speakman 2.5 GPM showerhead and want to inform that it is superb in every respect. Upon receipt of the showerhead from Amazon, I immediately unpacked it and installed it in my home. The installation was a breeze and took only a few minutes. Teflon thread tape is included in the box. The showerhead is beautifully constructed, has a certain heft to it due to the solid brass construction and is heavily chrome plated. The machining of the threads were of high quality providing an overall impression that this is exceptionally well made. In terms of the showerhead in use I can only say that I’m extremely impressed. I replaced my old home center showerhead due to the low water flow making the showering experience less than ideal. The Speakman showerhead provided double the water flow with pressure that is much higher and more satisfying. In addition the adjustable settings range from needle-like jet flow to soaker type of flow. If you are tired of your low-and-slow flowing showerhead give this one a try. This was a solid purchase and worth every penny in my opinion.

I am very impressed with the water pressure of this shower. Great settings and easy to manipulate. I love that you get the option to insert the purple water restrictor or leave it out. I left mine out. The showerhead is sent with the water restrictor piece out. So no need to search for pliers to remove it. I wish all brands did this.

So, I live in an apartment and the original shower head was terrible. Like, barely a trickle of water. I got sick of that and ordered this showerhead, and it is wonderful. In fact, I may have to reinstall the water restriction valve, because it gets so much better flow that it nearly ripped the shower curtain off. Apparently, we don’t have low water pressure, we just had a terrible showerhead before.Installation was super easy, didn’t require anything not included in the box, and just worked the first time. Install took me all of five minutes and four of those were getting the old head off and cleaning off the pipe.I suppose if you had a truly immense shower or some kind of nonstandard shower arm range of motion might be an issue, but I don’t really see how. It points in all the directions I can see wanting to point your shower from a standard arm. Sure, it only has the one setting, rain shower, but I’ve never found myself using other settings much anyway.It’s easy to install, provides an excellent shower, and comes with flow restrictor valves so you can tailor the flow to your preferences and/or local laws.

The good- easy to install and very high pressure. Seemed like I ran out of hot water very quickly. Not sure if that was all due to the shower head. I do know that my shower had a water saving head on previously so I did not know how strong the flow was or would be. So maybe for others, this shower head won’t make a difference. But for me, the pressure was high, almost uncomfortable. Anyways, I decided I wanted to slow down the rate of water so I removed the head to add the water restrictor. That’s when I found the “bad”…The bad- the “chrome” is merely a cheap finish. It’s started to come off the outside of the pipe attachment piece as well inside the pipe. I’m not surprised it came off the outside. I had to use pliers to tighten it. I’m just worried about the chrome inside the pipe. Idk if its dangerous. Are the chrome flakes now in my water? What if the tiny flakes get into my eyes?

Remove the restrictor and this thing is like a high pressure fire hose on the mist setting. I had no idea what I was missing until I tried this and can’t imagine a better shower head for the money!

I searched and read about a ton of shower heads. We just had a new walk-in shower done and the head that was in there had terrible water pressure/flow. I got this thinking if it didn’t work, then I would spend money on a big brand. Well this shower head is excellent! Did not install the flow restrictor. Great pressure and great flow! Best part was the price! If it doesn’t last more than a year, I’ll just buy another one.

The showerhead was not super easy to install, but after the handyman came, and did it I was very pleased with the product. The flow is great, and the settings really do change the water flow.
