  1. I’ve slept on this bed for around a month. It has pros and cons, but overall I would say it is relatively close to being comparable in both price and comfort to an air matress with fibertech. There are things that could have been done better from my perspective. Here are a few things I’ve noticed.One. The foam used in this mattress is two different foams put together. The top layer is a very soft memory foam. The bottom is a stiffer memory foam. I hate this a lot. One reason I was interested in this bed was it sounded like it’d be a firm bed. It’s not. It’s squishy and soft and underneath is like a slowly deflating hammock sensation. If it weren’t six inches thick I’d be feeling ONLY floor. Air mattresses are much more comfortable.Two. The “sheet” that holds the three cusions can be unzippered and rezippered with relaive ease. The bottom and sides of the “sheet” is grey mesh. The top of the “sheet” is soft, white, and mattress-topper-looking-ish. I LOVE THIS SHEET A LOT. You can take the cushions out and change them around, which is almost a necessity because of the foam type used wanting to stay compressed. (You could maybe even replace the lower-quality foam with a better foam of the same size and shape, which I might try.)But that said, regular twin-sized sheets placed over the trifold “sheet” will not keep this bed “together.” I can already tell that with more use, the cushions will separate a lot further. Something like an additional extra zippered sheet that goes over the trifold one, just the right size for this entire mattress, would have been a boon. It could have kept everything together tightly during the night.Three. The trifold capacity. Is just fantastic. You CAN prop it up just fine (and really should when it’s not being used, it seems to help the foam recover slightly better from use, and this foam needs that extra help.) You can also make it into the softest marshmallow chair ever and sit on it and become alarmed over the next 15 minutes as you slowly descend farther and farther down to the floor D:Four. This bed… requires a lot of upkeep. When using it on the floor, even though the bed itself does not cause sweat, somehow condensation on the very bottom of the mattress forms every night. I thought this might be because of the floor being cool, so I put a closed-cell foam camping pad under the mattress to alleviate the issue. It did not alleviate the issue. The pad got damp instead of the floor was all. The problem is not due to sweating through six inches of foam. The foam above is bone dry. Maybe it’s because the bed bottom does not have fabric, it has mesh, but it means an extra concern. In any case it’s weird and I have been dealing with it by removing blankets, and pillows, and propping it up on its side, so the bottom gets air circulation, to dry during the day. Every. morning. It’s not acceptable if my bed grows mold, period. Needless to say this is tiring. People in Japan who use futons may be used to this. I’d rather be able to have my bed in its place and not have to make it up every single night and unmake it every single morning. You cannot put this mattress onto a bare frame if it’s a frame with bars. It will just not work. You could put this mattress onto a twin XL frame upon which you had placed a separately purchased twin XL boxspring. Or if you got a piece of wood suitable for placing on top of a frame, it might be okay.On to other pros and cons.Cost analysis: Before purchasing, I compared the cost of this mattress to the cost of replacing a quality type of air matress I’d been using. (Intex, 18″, twin size air mattress, with fiber-tech. Incidentally a wonderful camping bed. I tended to have to replace them 2-3 times a year with constant daily use but was always concerned about sharp objects) …Should I get a year of functional use out of Milliard’s bed, it’d cost me close to replacing an 18″ Intex twin mattress with fibertech: 4.5 times. In other words, if I had to replace my durable, well made fiber-tech air mattresses once every three months, the cost would be similar to if I successfully manage one year using this Milliard’s mattress. (Will this mattress hold up as comfortably as a decent air mattress for a year? After a month, I can tell you, the answer is: no. That foam could be much, MUCH better than it is.)Comfort comparison: The bed is very close to the floor, which makes getting up harder than getting up out of an 18″ air mattress. Even with 6 inches of foam altogether, the foam is far too soft. It does not provide a feeling of support, but it does succeed at cushioning the floor. Flat out, any air mattress that retains its air through the night, is twice as comfortable as this mattress is a month later. My back is starting to hurt using this mattress due to lack of support. Replacing the cushions with a quality and appropriate high-use foam isn’t inexpensive, but I’m looking into that as an option to be able to at least keep using the trifold “sheet” which I really do like.Durability Comparison: Hands down a foam mattress is aimply much more durable than any air mattress because you do not have to worry about punctures.Ease of moving it: Hands down this foam mattress is also much easier and convenient to move or put away than any air mattress. You do not have to deflate it. It is relatively light. It is less awkward to move around. It is NOT a static magnet for every speck of dust and every gross little piece of shed hair or pet fur that can collect on the floor no matter how hard to keep it clean, like the plastic bottoms of air mattresses.ll said, if the cushions were just more comfortable to sleep on (resting on them for 10 minutes is suitably comfortable, but after that you start to sink…), this would be a much better bed. I’ve slept on plain old couch cushions that were significantly more comfortable for similarly long periods of time in the past, so I know it’s possible. It’s just that this is not that kind of foam.If the company offered just the trifold “sheet” as a base, and then options to customize what kind of foam would be put into it, this bed would be better. I’m not sorry that I purchased it. But I hoped it would be MORE comfortable than an air mattress, without the risk of punctures, for a relatively similar price.

  2. To say that the bar was set very low for this mattress to exceed the one it was replacing is an understatement; however, it also had to live up a comparison to the comfort and quality of my full time mattress which is a sleep number. To be clear, this mattress was intended to replace a junk, coil spring mattress in my part time residence, where I wanted to maximize my comfort (and reduce pain) at a price point that made sense. Coming in at just around $300, I figured I had little to lose and, at worst, it would have to be a step above the old mattress. Imagine my utterly pleasant surprise to come and find out that this little gem not only met that low bar, but overwhelmingly exceeded it. I’ve had this mattress for a little over a month and have slept on it probably near three weeks out of that month. In that time what I have found is that this mattress is extremely comfortable, super easy to set up and provides just the right amount of support where I need it most. In fact, I would say that it almost…..almost provides the same comfort level and support factor as my sleep number mattress. Almost, but not quite.Pros:1. Extremely convenient packaging and set up: A queen size mattress in a box, delivered to my doorstep. How easy is that? The box itself is hefty so you likely will need a helper to get the whole deal into position and especially when it comes time to cut the packaging and have it ready to go “inflation”. Instructions provided and easy to follow. Once we properly positioned the wrapped mattress on the box spring it took a simple slice of the plastic (using the slicer provided to us in the box) and voila! new mattress. The directions tell you to allow the mattress to shape for at least 72 hours, but I was extremely hopeful that I would be able to us it that night as one more night on the old mattress was absolutely out of the question. Some people have noted that their mattresses didn’t form properly or didn’t reach the intended height (some even after the 72 hours) but I found that my mattress was fully formed and at the right height in no more than 12 hours. I made the choice to use it that night2 Comfort: I’ve found over the years that I need a firmer mattress to alleviate much of my lower pack pain and stiffness that I’ve found in using mattresses of lesser quality. The one advantage of a sleep number bed is that you have 100s of different combinations available to you to find just the right amount of firmness or softness to achieve maximum comfort, and over the past year or so that I’ve owned it, I’ve found that I fall neatly within the medium firmness category (for those familiar with sleep number, I’m about a 55 to 60 setting) so having this mattresses advertised as falling into the medium to firm category was really important – and I was counting on that description being accurate. And I can tell you that , at least in my experience – it is. In fact, if I had to assign a sleep number to this mattress for comparison, my guess is that it would fall in the 65-70 range. I say this because while extremely comfortable, it does seem to be just a bit firmer than my current sleep number setting. Not enough that it creates any moderate discomfort, but just enough that I can feel the pressure. For reference – I am in the range of 180-190lbs – I can’t speak to how well that level of firmness holds for someone in a different weight bracket, but my best guess is that it will hold relatively stable for most people.3 Sturdy – I can’t speak to how other foam mattresses are in this category, but when sleeping with someone else, I don’t feel them moving or turning/tossing.4 Price – Sure, you can invest in other, more expensive mattresses, foam or otherwise, for your needs, but out of the box, at this price point, you get a lot of mattress with very little downside. That being said, I cannot speak to how well it will hold up over the long term, or whether it will still be the same mattress in 1 year or even 3, but at this price point, I would be satisfied with with a handful of good quality years.Cons – Really very few to mention, but:1 Edge support – I believe this is an issue with every foam mattress, but the edge support is absolutely not on par with a traditional mattress. That being said, it does not affect my use of the mattress one bit, but for those that need the extra support to get out of bed, or, for those that want to utilize some edge support for “extracurricular” activities – you’ll find that you’ll have to adjust for the lack of edge support and plan accordingly.2 Cooling – foam mattresses in general are notorious for running warm and while this mattress attempts to compensate for it by using a cooling layer, I believe that warm sleepers are still going to find themselves sleeping warm. I generally don’t tend to be a warm sleeper, so it hasn’t been an issue for me, but it also certainly doesn’t offer any more cooling features than any other mattress available. All in all, I rate this mattress very highly and certainly would recommend purchasing it assuming its specifications meet your needs. It’s a high quality, comfortable mattress at a very affordable price point.

  3. This mattress is 4″ thick and no thicker. The photo makes it look thicker so note that. The photo also shows that the cushions are squared and thus line up perfectly, they don’t. The edges aren’t square, more round, and so they don’t bump up together squarely and tightly. You won’t have a consistent surface to lay on. Nonetheless, it works and it’s comfortable. I’m not sending it back but I think there is a design flaw the manufacturer needs to address. If you are a heavy person, this won’t be thick enough to support you.

We did alot of window shopping before we chose this mat. We purchased 6in cot. We use is every night in our babies nursery. It sleeps comfortably. Exactly as described and pictured. I do wish it folded smaller but I would not compromise on the comfort and size. I would buy this again. Add to baby registry and thank me later

  5. When I opened the package, I was a little disappointed in how the mattress looked (fabric on the mattress was loose, the memory foam was hard and only at 2-3 inches when I took it out of the packaging- see photo). I let it sit over night in my living room and it completely expanded to the 6 inches and it was so much more comfortable to lay on. I haven’t slept on it overnight, so I can’t review total comfort level or pain relief quite yet. However, I bought this for guests when they visit, so I won’t be sleeping on it nightly. I will say, for guest purposes this thing is pretty comfortable though.I also bought a mattress topper from Amazon to go with it and it made it even more comfortable; highly recommend doing that.Queen size for reference, accurate sizing. Folds up nicely and if you have the room to store it, I recommend queen. Multiple people can sleep on it depending on their size as well

  6. When I visit my daughter I usually sleep on the couch or on an air mattress in her small apartment and I end up leaving unrested and needing an adjustment. However, she needed me out here for two weeks after her surgery so I decided to invest in this mattress. Best purchase, and I am sleeping so good! I cant wait to go to sleep at night and I feel rested in the morning! Its easy to fold up and it goes right back into the bag with a zipper. I would highly recommend even if its just to set up at home for fun.

  7. We had purchased a few Casper mattresses, and loved them. We needed 1 more for a guest bedroom, and thought we’d give a Nectar a try. Especially since it came with free delivery and unpacking AND a certificate for a sleep bundle package that includes pillows, sheets and mattress protector. Seemed like an awesome deal! The mattress was delivered into the bedroom where it would stay, but no unpacking happened… the guy just left. After we pulled the mattress out of the open box, and took it out of its thick plastic cocoon , we didn’t see a certificate.I contacted Amazon , they couldn’t help. However they gave me a phone number to contact Nectar directly. The person there gave me an email address for me to send an email, requesting the sleep bundle . I did that, received an email back asking for a bit more info , and then a few days -a week later, I just received the package with all items included. It was a little more work on my part, but in the end we are very happy with the purchase.I will say that this mattress is softer than I thought it would be, but it is still comfortable for us.

  8. My old mattress was shot and very uncomfortable. On a friend’s recommendation, I ordered the Shiloh 12″ medium firm.I’ve had it a week now, and as my heading says, this thing is absolutely incredible! It’s a PERFECT combination of soft and firm. I tend to be a side sleeper, and this thing is wonderful for that. I used to wake up with shoulder pain in my right shoulder if I spent the entire night on my right side. Now? No problem at all.The one thing I have found is that I don’t need nearly as many pillows with this mattress. I always slept with 4 — a contour memory foam pillow that works well with my CPAP and side sleeping, a pretty bulky non-memory foam pillow, and two thinner pillows. Now I really only need the memory foam pillow unless I’m using all of them to prop up my back when I’m reading in bed. If I try to use more than 1 pillow to sleep I find that my neck and bag get severely torqued out of position and it’s very uncomfortable. This mattress is even good for back sleeping, which is something I’ve not done in many years, primarily because my lower back wouldn’t be properly supported and I’d wake up all kinds of sore. It also didn’t work with my sleep apnea. Now, though, my back is very nicely supported, and with the CPAP I don’t need to worry about the apnea as much.I’m overweight, and I was worried that the Shiloh wouldn’t support me properly. Thankfully that’s not an issue. It can be a little bit of a challenge to roll over once I’ve sunk down into it, but it’s not too terrible, and it’s not really that difficult to get out of.Even better, my dog really seems to like it, as well, as she’s sleeping on the end of the bed a lot more than normal. I don’t think she liked my old mattress, either.Obviously I don’t know how well this will hold up over time, especially to my weight, but even if it doesn’t it was more than inexpensive enough to make replacing it relatively pain free.HIGHLY recommend this mattress, and thank Sleep Innovations for their product.

  9. Purchased this to place under his bunk bed. It fits perfectly and fully extended creates a liner on the floor for our grandkids (4 & 2) to play on. My daughter halfway folded it up and they have a bench seat with half padded out. Perfect for when he is sick and mom and dad have crash pad under his bunk bed or for sleepover. This is a twin size. My daughter says it is comfortable and they can use for extra sleeping space when needed.Perfect seating and additional bedding! They will bring along on camping trips to sleep on as well.

  10. Was skeptical this would really be good enough – 4″ doesn’t seem like much. And was also skeptical it would expand quickly enough since it was only arriving a day before we needed it. Our guests were two full grown adults so I hoped it would be supportive enough. They said it was great! Very happy we put the money into this as a replacement for our failing air mattress. It expanded to full size within about 8 hours. Just not sure where to store it as it’s still rather large when folded.
