Freezer was well packaged and arrived with no shipping damage. It looks great. It was easy to move it into place and install it. After letting it settle for 6 hours I plugged it in.This freezer happened to arrive on a day when my region saw record high temperatures. I was installing the freezer in a garage-type space with very little temperature protection. The room was 90⁰F when I nervously plugged the freezer in. The amazing thing? It was keeping ice frozen solid only 6 hours after plugging it in! That’s a good freezer. One day later– more record high temps– the room temp is 90⁰F again and everything is keeping just fine, including ice cream!I’m also impressed by how quiet this freezer is. I was expecting it to be much louder and I’m very happy it’s not.I am curious to see how well it holds up during the cold months, when the room will occasionally drop to 20-30⁰F. As others have pointed out, the printed manual conflicts with the information in this listing and says the freezer cannot handle these temperatures. Danby says the printed manual is simple for another model, and the freezer is in fact garage ready. So far it passed the hot weather test! If it doesn’t pass the cold weather test this winter, I’ll update my review.If you’re looking for an affordable garage-ready chest freezer I doubt you could do any better than this.

I read about all the reviews of people receiving a dented unit and I thought well it probably won’t happen to me. So when the guys came with the delivery I carefully inspected the box and I wouldn’t sign until we unpacked it and everything looks great. I signed and they left, the delivery guys were great.Then when I removed the Styrofoam edges there was a big old dent. Since the box was not damaged and the Styrofoam was not damaged that means that it was already dented whenever it was packed. So I believe that the factory intentionally shipped a dented unit.However it seems to be working fine so we are just going to live with this but it’s very disappointing.

This freezer works great, except that the door is very and very hard to re-open right after you close the door. You need to wait 2 minutes or so to re-open it. I take off 1 star just because of that. It is great for the price anyway.I buy this up right freezer to replace my long time old chest freezer has been broken. Using this up right freezer you don’t have to dig out to find the food you have stacked it up in the chest freezer. Be careful when you take the food out might cause the glass shelve to drop out. The space between the shelves is good enough for me (not too large or not too tight). There is 1 adjustable shelve for larger food block.At first, I received the damage one I guess it’s caused by the shipping party. I contacted the seller and they resolved the problem wonderfully. KoolMore is a great seller. They sent the replacement rightaway and I received it in perfect condition. It works great except the door is very hard to re-open problem I stated above. I just have it for a few days so far so good and still see how it is as the time going longer and if it is frost-free as it is stated.

I love the little freezer,works great!on the other hand the delivery said they would be here between 11 and 3 then it was 3 and 6pm,the driver called at 6:26pm says lm on my way should be there in about 20 minutes that was the last I heard from them,the next morning my neighbor called and said my package was on their front porch,I told them to put it in front of my garage!when I unboxed it the plug was crushed beyond repair so I had to go buy a new plug and replace it

My immediate need was an alarm for a garage freezer, which is an older freezer and I had become aware that if we have a breakdown issue, could lose several dollars of food products.Simple audio alarms were not an option because of the distance of the de-attached garage from the house. Plus there are days when I do not even go out to the garage to hear an audio alarm. And I was concerned about relying on wi-fi shown on other systems. I was suspect about the quality from my router wi-fi signal to the garage and a sensor inside the freezer and then back to smartphone.The YoSmart and the Lora tech works extremely well, as advertised. I have a sensing unit in my garage freezer and get alerts on my email (text and Alexa are also options ) when the temp goes in/out of the range that I have set. As a new user I needed the YoSmart Hub as well and the package I ordered came with the Hub and two temp/humidity sensors. The second sensor is used in our inhouse frig.Since these worked so well, I have purchased a motion sensor and attached inside mailbox to alert to when postman opens and closes door, to alert me with an email when I have mail.And I purchased a third temp/humidity sensor and I am using it in the attic to monitor temperature and humidity. We have an automatic attic fan that comes on & off with a mechanical setting of temp and humidity. With the YoSmart sensor in the attic, I will be able to see the range of conditions in the attic as the weather changes. And with those changes I will then make setting adjustments on the automatic attic fan. In our area of the world, weather is full extremes in all Seasons and I believe the additional information provided by the sensor will help me make better adjustments on the fan and in turn keep the attic temp & humidity under control.Set up on the Hub and the sensors is a snap and instructions are very clear.Since the Hub is connected to the Internet, sensors can be monitored outside the home, via smartphone.Very pleased with this product – looking for other applications in and around our home.

In AZ, barely open garage freezers can become very costly. We have had to refill our entire vertical storage freezer twice this year and with 2 cooks in the house, there’s lots of opportunity for mishaps. This has been a welcome solution.Pros- Peace of mind.- Once setup, has worked reliably without hassle.- Has already paid for itself several times over in saved food.- Clean app interface (although some unnecessary backtracking involved).- Alerts trigger quickly and loudly on connected devices.Cons- Mobile apps only, no desktop application.- More customization would be desirable.Notes- My observations are all made using Mac devices (iPads, iPhone, Macbook)- This is not a quick setup, should allow at least 1.5hr for setup, testing and customization.- Recommend do not try to setup wirelessly, plug hub into router during setup process.- Installed on my own, but they offer assistance if needed.- I keep the alert range set @ -10F — +18F to allow for freezers to be loaded/unloaded without alerts (temps can be adjusted to 1/10 of a degree).- May be a good low cost alternative for small business owners.Overall, very happy with this system, the 2 sensors are monitoring 2 freezers in our garage and I will be ordering more sensors soon for indoor fridge and perhaps for terrariums/vivariums.

This small chest freezer is perfect for my living space. Needed more freezer space for my organic produce and this enables me to stock up for winter. Love this little freezer!!

I was impressed that not only did this arrive quickly but it arrived without any dents or scratches and was packaged and delivered with care which I really appreciate. It’s easy to unpack and set up and you only need to plug it in and set the temperature after a manufacturer recommended half hour of settling time before plugging in. Setting the right temperature is the tricky part. I set my temperature gage to 3/4 of the way to max like others suggested and that worked out fine. I put a bottle of water in to test out the freezing process before putting food in. So far it’s working beautifully and holds a lot of food for the size! I put in two 15 pound turkeys, four frozen pies, about 10 pounds of other meats and about 10 pounds of frozen vegetables and still had loads of room left over! Impressive!

This little freezer is perfect for me. Good size for a single person. Fits perfect in my garage. Love it.

As I was putting contact paper on it I realize it was wrapped in plastic, It took a while to get the plastic off but the Price is Worth it.

Two of us are living in a condo and I knew I wanted a chest freezer for the garage. I was debating between the 5 and 7 cu.ft. models and I made the right choice. The smaller of the two holds a LOT of food. I ran out and bought a small turkey and all kinds of sale items that included meats and veggies and 2 pies and ice cream…and there is room for SO MUCH MORE! I really wish this Midea 5 cu. ft freezer came with two baskets instead of one, but other than that, I am very pleased with my choice thus far. It arrived two days after I ordered it, in perfect condition, and I was able to “walk” it into my garage by myself. I am a 5’2″, 75 year-old woman. Living in NE Ohio with winter approaching, I can now hibernate if necessary. It should only increase my monthly electric bill by $2 to $2.50 per month. I set it to High initially, but after reading other comments, I feel comfortable turning it down to the Medium setting. I am well pleased with this purchase.

This was the perfect size for my apartment. I can fit quite a bit of food in it for being a smaller size freezer. Its quiet. I like it.

Good product – perfect size for small spaces. However the product arrived damaged. I attempted to contact Amazon but only got automated responses so there is no way to discuss remediation for accepting a damaged product. I have no way to box up and load this in my car to return it, so I guess I have to settle for a damaged product.
