Please don’t buy this washer or dryer from GE. You will need service and the process will be very painful.I purchased this washer and dryer set with pedestals in January 2021 to be installed in my new house. About a month after installation the washer wouldn’t turn on. I scheduled service with GE and a week later they sent out a local 3rd party technician. They diagnosed the issue as the main board and ordered the part. Another week later the replacement part arrived. I informed the tech and after three weeks he came back and installed the board. The washer would finally turn on but after a week it started to only go through the first few steps in its start up cycle but would never actually start the wash cycle. We called again for service and over the next 4 months and several service calls, the technicians replaced several parts, including the door assembly but the problem still persisted. During this time we had to swap between using the washer when it would work or going to the laundromat when it wouldn’t.Finally in June, after 5 months of living with the constant issues, GE agreed to replace the washer. The washer arrived and a local installer came to install it. When they saw that the old washer was on a pedestal he informed me that they could not put a new washer on an old pedestal. The GE customer relations person had forgotten to ask if the washer was on a pedestal so a replacement one was never shipped. The installer said they would take the washer back and hold it in their warehouse until GE ordered the pedestal. I called the customer relations person back again (each call takes over an hour on hold to get through). They informed me that they would order the pedestal and email me with an ETA. Ater another week, which put us in July, GE customer relations emailed to tell me it would be the end of July before the pedestal would arrive. They offered to refund the pedestal. I explained that without the pedestal the washer would sit almost two feet lower that the dryer right next to it which was not an option for me.After several email exchanges I was informed that the pedestal was back ordered and would not arrive until mid August. I called customer relations again on a Friday afternoon to discuss a plan. I asked if I could simply go buy the pedestal (new in a box and GE branded). They say that would work and told me that they would schedule the washer again to be delivered. I went and bought the pedestal that same day. On the following Monday I was informed by GE customer relations that they had spoken to the installer and the installer said the pedestal I purchased would not work and gave no other information about how this would be resolved. I”m on hold again with GE as we speak to try again to get some kind of resolution. My next call will be the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs in my state. Bottom line, do not buy a GE appliance.
Had it for over a year. Washes great. Just really, really loud on the spin cycle. Sent the first one back because I thought it was damaged. Nope! They’re just really loud. I don’t over load either.
NO MOLD! I love the vent system to dry the washer out so it has no mold. I battled mold all the time with previous washers. This one is A-1 tops and I recommend it. It is properly engineered to drain water and then the blow dryer dries it drum. I love it. And my clothes are much cleaner. I also am using much less soap with the automatic soap dispense system. Savings in soap over the lifetime of this washer will more than make up for the extra cost. No mold has really helped my asthma. You do not realize how bad your clothes are when the washer has mold in it. I cleaned my previous washer weekly and it still was gross. this washer is beautifully clean and dry.
I am giving this 4.5 stars at the moment. We knew what we were buying. We are a large family and do alot of loads. These are half the size of our old set. So we are doing twice the loads. But it works well . I bought the wrong stacking kit, so not fully setup, but functional. If any issues, I will update.
I have now bought two of these. 1 that lasted 4 or 5 months. The counterbalance bolts sheared off during the spin cycle. Samsung refunded and we were able to get it replaced and the replacement lasted for 1 month. The same thing. I cannot fathom that Samsung is still selling these. Expect these not to work long!! Buyer be warned.
This product was cracked on top upon arrival. When I ran it, it flooded my floors because a panel was also broken on the bottom. Shakes a lot on the spin cycle
The only 2 cycles worth using are Bulky/Bedding and Heavy Duty because those are the only ones you can use Deep Fill on. All the other cycles use Auto Fill which gives you VERY LITTLE water levels! So little that your clothes aren’t even covered. So I do EVERYTHING on Heavy Duty because I do full laundry loads and need a FULL water level. Also, LET THE WASHER FILL FIRST before loading any clothes because it begins agitating as it’s filling, causing the clothes to agitate when there’s barely enough water. Otherwise, I really like it. It’s large, nice tub, and it’s quieter than my old GE. I haven’t had any problems with washing delicates on Heavy Duty.

Love the color, size laundry, easy to use, customer service we received about missing part.

Brand new washer had the bolts that hold the counter-weights to the drum come loose and destroy the washer after the 3rd wash cycle.
Have not hooked them up yet as we are remodeling. THey look good except the washer came with a large scratch on the front.
Easy to use. Wish it came with hoses to connect to the faucet.
