  1. I kid you not! I paid $6,000 for two sets of hearing aids — one that I could wear while swimming in the pool and the other for all other times. They worked fine but my hearing in my right ear went fast and soon I could not use either hearing aid at all. Instead, in 2012, I purchased 2 sets of Sennheiser listening devices with a Radio Frequency Sender that you attach to the TV and a Dongle that hangs around your neck and let me listen to the TV all over my apartment and out on the balcony when earbuds were attached to the Dongle. Recently, I began attending a very small but very special church and I was having so much trouble hearing the service that I decided to try a hearing amplifier. I knew I had made the right choice as soon as I opened the super nice case. The medium size dome was already on the amplifier so I tried that first and worked with the 4 modes and the sound level of the TV until I had an acceptable voice coming in my ear from the amplifier, but soon the medium dome was bothering my ear — it was in too far and when I removed it, it would turn inside out. I then tried a smaller one and it was so small that it let air get into it while I had it in my ear and that caused a loud piercing whistle — bad, very bad. I really did not expect the large dome to work, but when I tired it, like Goldilocks in the perfect bed that was just right, that dome was the perfect dome and was just right. The voices coming in my ear were clearer and suddenly I was connected with the world again. I had to practice adjusting the three switches on the amplifier so I could do it while it was positioned on my ear, and the 4 modes of operation controlled by the top button that you push really do have a huge effect on the sound — it is important to get that correct and when you have it just right it makes a lot of difference. I found that with the large dome the voices sound different than with the other two domes and when I pushed on the mode button and also adjusted the sound of the TV, I could get a really good sound that without having voices run together or garbled. When I went downstairs to pick up my evening meal, I could hear my footsteps as I walked through the halls and I could actually hear the woman who was standing in line behind me say something to me and respond. I was so happy as I walked back down the hall — I just felt more connected than I had before — in fact, I never felt this connected with the expensive hearing aids. I can hear my voice again and that was a big problem to me because that was causing me to have problems communicating with people. What I could hear sounded so strange it affected my feelings about myself and caused me to lack confidence in the way I was coming across to other people. I have had the TV on all day because in order to get used to listening to sound through the amplifier and I have checked the TV’s sound level throughout the day because I wanted to make sure it was not so loud it would disturb my neighbors. Each time I checked the TV was down so low I was constantly amazed by the fact I could hear it in the kitchen, bathroom and one of the bedrooms. After a day’s use, the sound is clearer and the words are no longer running together and I can really enjoy the TV without wearing a Sennheiser Dongle around my neck. I can also hear the water running in the sink, the toilet flushing, answer the phone without removing earbuds, One day I was talking to a maintenance man I had called when I found water all over my floor in the corner of my bathroom. There was a lot of water in the corner and it had been absorbed by the wooden cabinet and now the cabinet has to be replaced because it has rotted on that end. I could not hear the water leaking from the handle of the special low flow toilet and c did not see the water pooling in the corner because it was hidden by the bathroom trash receptacle. I was so upset by this and almost cried because I could not even hear water running full blast in the sink and had to be careful to check that it was off before leaving the room. If I heard a strange noise in the apartment, I had to walk all over each room trying to find out where the noise was coming from and then try to identify it and when that was impossible I just had to check everything to see that nothing was happening that was connected to the noise that was dangerous. Jeff Bezos and Vohorn thank you so much for bringing this amplifier to me. You have definitely changed my life in only one day. I can hardly wait for Sunday to be able to interact more with people in church and more easily hear the minister’s message. The batteries last a long, long time according to reviews, but I am going to order a large supply as soon as I catch up on my reviews. I do not want to go a day without using my Britzgo Hearing Amplifier. Note: I am practically deaf in my right ear and it does not help that ear at all, but I have a hearing problem in my left ear that is not severe and it really helps that ear. Also, not having amplified sound of the problems in my right ear no longer interferes with the sound in my left ear.. I am not bothered by movement, paper noises or anything like that when wearing the amplifier. I feared I was throwing my money away again, but now I wish I had never messed with expensive hearing aids. When you get the right setting on this amplifier you will know it and you will definitely be happy again. My hair is just long enough to cover the hearing aid, but I would not mind if everyone saw it — I love it that much.

  2. I am not going to discredit any negative reviews. I will speak only to my own experience with this hearing aid.First of all, it’s affordable.Second, the shipping was fast. It took about 4 days total.Third, I took a chance and purchased 10 extra batteries (size A 10)Fourth, I am 56 years old and lost my hearing from the constant noise from heavy equipment around me for 25 years. Here is my review. Before I used this hearing aid:I have moderate hearing loss, meaning when someone is speaking to me at a close distance (within 10 feet) I can hear them, but I can not make out what they are saying as far as syllables and nouns, adjectives, etc… It is only a muffled sound of syllables and nouns and adjectives. I often think I know what they’re saying, but it’s a guess. Now I work a part-time job on a military base. I have to enter through heavy security gate in my car were they ask me questions every time I enter the gate. I can barely hear them. I had to put a sign above my car window that reads, “Please speak loud. Hard of hearing.”Wearing this hearing aid:So, after putting this hearing aid in my left ear, and turning the volume to 1/2 of its turn on the dial, I can hear everything people say within 10 to 15 feet. There is very minimal background noise, but there is some, but it’s not overwhelming. Someone’s voice carries over any background noise and comes through clearly. What’s also great about this hearing aid is the pickup mic is at my ear, not behind my ear like other “over the ear” hearing aids are. I can easily to narrow in exactly where a sound or voice is coming from. My hearing is centrally balanced between my head where the combined sound from both ears belongs. To turn it on, just close the battery door. To turn it off, open the battery door. The battery goes in the “bump side down” and “flat side up” position (size A 10).I haven’t had this hearing aid long enough to tell you how long the battery lasts. I don’t use it all day long. I only use it when I need to leave the house. I will update this in about 7 days from now, today is: Sunday, July 19, 2020.Conclusion:This hearing aid is worth the money. The seller is excellent about getting it shipped fast. There is no problem with the seller. My rating is 5 stars on everything about this review.

  3. GOOD LOOK OF AIRPOD BUT NOT SUITABLE AS REGULAR HEARING AID – REVISED REVIEWI gave a previous review which I want to revise for fairness. The right ear plug stopped working but after some cleaning the sound came back. Then I put the two pods in charge for the night. In the morning the right plug again went dead. I cleaned again with sticks, brush and soft cleaning cloth. The life came back. So it did not seem very dependable. But the good thing is when I wear the ear plugs they look like regular AirPods and nobody will think I am wearing a “hearing aid”. I bought this last year and used occasionally but no more than 20 times for 15 minutes to half an hour each time. I could not keep in the ears because volume level could not be reduced sufficiently to feel comfortable and hear normally. If there is noise of kitchen machine or anything like that, they seem to be too loud in my ears even at the lowest volume and I have to remove the ear plugs immediately. However, I found them useful while I listened to music or watched TV at very low volume for short time. The ear plugs always made annoying noise as I put them in the ears. My hearing is a bit impaired due to old age but I can manage my life without aid. Anyhow, I could not consider them as hearing aid as I found uncomfortable to wear for long. But as I read other reviews, people have varied experience with this “hearing aid”.New Revision, January 9, 2022The hearing amplifiers are still working as I occasionally use them to listen to music in low volume. But I do not think they qualify to be called hearing aid and I hardly use them as such.Mild Warning! We know Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) are inter-connected. I noticed that when I amplify low volume music for long with the help of these amplifiers, I find that my voice went down and became harsh as if I got sore throat. I would like to know if others have any similar experience.

  4. After being nagged by my family about my hearing, I decided to try an amplifier. Please note that it does not cancel background noise. It amplifies ALL sounds. There are six levels of amplification but as it turns out, I have a VERY mild hearing loss, so even the lowest level of amplification was too much amplification for me.I liked many things about the ONEBRIDGE amplifier. First, I liked the fit. During my trial period, I also tried traditional hearing aids and I had much less difficulty placing the ONEBRIDGE in my ear properly. They were very comfortable to wear. Even though they are more visible than many hearing aids, I think they look kind of cool! They look a bit like Bluetooth earbuds.I also liked that I was not afraid of loosing them compared to the traditional hearing aids. They fit great and were very comfortable. They did not tickle or itch like traditional aids.I also loved the price! I think they are a great value, especially for the elderly who bulk at the price of traditional aids and won’t wear them for fear of losing them!I considered a 4 star rating because I found the direction booklet confusing. I ended up watching a YouTube video for clarification. In the end I changed my rating to five star because although that was frustrating, it didn’t take me long to figure out the product on my own.If these are purchased for an elderly person or any non-techy person, I believe that they would have to have help to figure out using them. Of course they would have to have MORE help with traditional aids. I think once they understood the on/off/volume button, all would be good and they could even set their volume before putting the amplifiers in. The button is much larger than the tiny controls on traditional hearing aids and IMO much easier to manipulate while in or out of the ear.The charging case is great There is no need for batteries, which are also difficult to insert and remove for the elderly, not to mention the cost and short life of the batteries! The amplifiers hold their charge for about 10 hours, which is great, and they can be charged in the case several times before needing to recharge the case.I wish I had known about these amplifiers when my mother was alive. They would have been perfect for her! Even if the individual only wants to pop them in for visitors, it would be quick and simple! If you don’t need noise reduction, these would be perfect!

  5. I got this for my Mother-in-law who is so hard of hearing we cannot get her to know what we say even with the $800 hearing aids she has. She sits all day (well practically) and stairs at the TV which she cannot hear! Her flat affect when doing this concerned me. I got her this so she can hear the tv. She really likes it. I took away a couple of stars because it took me a while to figure out hw to use it. The instructions are not very clear. and a big problem I have with it is that the ear plug attachments they include are not really small enough to go into her ears properly . When they wiggle loose from inside her ear it screeches really loud and she wants to take it off and not use it. It must hurt to have the loud noice going right into your ear! Also it is difficult to tune in to the right level. I didn’t expect it to have such an intense learning curve!

  6. 15 yrs having not heard anything in my left ear. Tried these. Boop. I can hear everything. These do not have noise reduction. They amplify everything around you. So there’s a learning curve to how to use them. You can adjust the volume to where you can hear adequately. But whatever is making the most noise in the room is what you’re going to hear predominantly over everything else. These are not $1,000 hearing aids. They’re not sold as such. But they do deliver exactly what they say they’ll do. You know they’re cheap. Because you didn’t pay a lot for them. So know that when you buy them. They are a replacement for going to a hearing doctor and buy an expensive set of hearing aids. But they will get you by.Now that I know there’s Hope for hearing in my left ear. I will go to a specialist and let my insurance buy me the more expensive set. But this at least told me what I needed to know. That I’m not totally deaf in that ear.UPDATE:After several days of use I’m still happy with my product.I will attempt to help you with the adjustment of these devices, in order to make it easier for you.I only need this for one ear which I will refer to as my bad ear.I cannot hear without it in my bad ear. I can hear perfectly fine with this device.Setting the volume is a little tricky, and a lot of trial and error. I have found that by doing the following I can get the best results possible for meTake your hands and hold them about three or four inches from your good ear and clap your hands.Do the same thing with the device turned on and clap your hands about the same distance as you did and you’re good here.Adjust the volume knob up and down until what you’re hearing through the device is close to the same sound that you’re getting on your good ear.Having these devices in both ears gave me a lot of echo and feedback. Fortunately I only need it for one ear.About charging the device.I admit and I did not read all the fine print and the instructions that came with these hearing aids or amplifiers. They charge just fine in a few hours.I tried to use the USB port on the side of my laptop as my power supply instead of plugging into an outlet. This did not work. So I only suggest using the power block that comes with these units to charge your devices with.Without them I can virtually hear nothing in one ear. My setting is a little past the number one. Just before I get to 2.They are very difficult to turn the volume up and down while you have it in your ear. You will need to remove it from your ear to properly adjust the volume.. Periodically you may need to remove it to turn it up as the battery becomes weaker.I suggest turning the unit on after it’s fully charged from the charger. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes before you attempt to adjust the volume. If you try to do it straight from the charger you will find that after about 5 or 10 minutes of usage you will need to turn it up a little bit. This can be eliminated by just waiting 5 or 10 minutes before you attempt to set the volume. Now that I have discovered this. I no longer need to make any adjustments to the volume before I use it. Only needing it for one ear I can use one device for several hours then put it back in the charger and then pick up the second device and start using it in its place. This allows me to be able to hear perfectly fine all day all the way through till bedtime.

  7. My husband works in a warehouse where it’s very loud and for the first 15 years he didn’t wear war protection and he has an issue differentiating words that sound similar. He only wears them around the house but it has been a great purchase. Also he likes to watch TV in bed before he falls asleep but I need it very quiet so the TV gets put on low and then he just turns up the amplifier so it works out great. And they do need charging frequently however you get two earpieces and two chargers so that’s a plus. Give them a try if you won’t be disappointed.

  8. I recently bought the iBstone Rechargeable Hearing Aid, Mini Completely-in-Canal Hearing Amplifier for Seniors with Noise Reduction, Pair, Beige on Amazon, for $149.I want to say what an amazing product this is. But first, I am in my 70’s and quite deaf, in fact my doctor said I was deaf as a post! Family life was getting difficult and my wife was having to repeat things, annoying her and me. At meetings at work I found it hard to follow most of what was being discussed. I would often mistake what people said as something else – sometimes quite humorous, but not what makes for easy living.I am used to wearing in-canal hearing aids. For several years I used the brand sold by Walmart, at first just in my left ear, and these worked pretty well, but as my hearing got worse I was having to turn up the volume to full, which gave a lot of feedback and whistling. In the end I gave up. The Walmart aids were $450 for each side.So when a buddy bought the iBstone pair for a much better price I was tempted and started reading the reviews. A lot of what people said made sense, some of it I’d not considered before. So I bought a set. Wow!I unpacked them, turned up the volume and pushed them in. They fitted in my ears pretty good, especially the left one. I could hear! The rattle of my belt buckle, the click of my laptop mouse, were all new sounds. I went outside. There was this strange background noise, a sort of distant humming, all around! What could it be? Then I realized I was hearing the noise of the traffic on the road nearby. I had never heard that for a long time. What all this leads to is that this is a superb product, well packaged and manufactured, a quality feel and a lot of attention to detail and design. For instance the old Walmart aid had a volume control on the outer face which often got turned up too much when fitting the aid in the ear. These aids are flat across the face and you can push them in without changing anything. One important aspect is the confidence these aids give me when with other people. I never had that since I went a little deaf. Now I can hear what they are saying. I can answer with 99% certainty I am on the right subject, can inject some humor into the conversation without the fear that I have missed the point somewhere. So, here’s the run-down:They are small and really fit into the canal. They come with a silicon mushroom cover. The purpose of this is to separate the microphone on the outside from the speaker on the inside, thus reducing feedback completely. It also helps keep the aid in the ear. I find if the aid starts to move out, I get feedback but a quick push and it’s back in and silent again. They stay put in the ear and don’t whistle when I laugh or eat my food. They come with three different cover sizes to adjust to different ear size. I found the smallest was best for one ear with the middle for the other. I bought a box of spares, just in case. You need to be patient with these and adjust the volume and then try the aid for a few hours. The volume adjusts with a small screwdriver which is fiddley and means you can’t adjust it when it is in your ear (unless you have help) but with a few tries you will soon find the right level. You also need to experiment with the position of the aid in the ear. Some people find 5 o’clock, some 7 o’clock works best. Just turn them slightly and try them out. Stretch the ear and work your jaw when putting them in, to help get them properly nested.I thought my hearing was bad but these have given me hope that it’s not so bad after all, because I cannot wear them at full volume – they are too loud! I have them about half way.Oh, and they have rechargeable batteries – another great advantage over my old ones. Fit them into the neat little charger which you can connect to your laptop and take them out when the lights go from red to blue. There is a written warning about over-charging, but you can always buy a timer for a few bucks to monitor this if you want to. Batteries were such a hassle with my old aids.Summary – a great product at a great price!

  9. This little gadget takes the place of expensive hearing aides for me. It is especially useful and at about 25 buck is a bargain. The photo is at the top of this page.

  10. This is an amplifier, not a hearing aid. It works very well as an amplifier, producing substantial gain–in other words it can get very LOUD, depending on the setting of the volume control. Having said that, it is noisy (static) but can be of help to the hearing impaired despite that. So I’d say for the money, it’s worth a try.

  11. I was going to return these. I can’t set my volume up to work without the feedback- squeals really loud.I was using them as backup. Little big for my ears.I had to get them out after Hurricane Ien no power for three days and they were still going. I’m getting used to them. But still hate the squeak, especially if someone gives me a hug. It’s so embarrassing.I do qualify for professional one’s. Time for new ones and I get amplifier to help until I go back to dr.

  12. Having lost a $1200 pair of “prescription’ hearing aids (no insurance) and not willing to chance that again, I had been doing without for a couple of years until these over-the-counter ones came on the market at a much, much more reasonable price.I’ve had them for several weeks now and am very satisfied with their performance; in fact, I feel overall they work better for me than my old big-dollar “customized” ones did. I have what I suppose is “moderate” hearing loss because I do hear people talking, I just can’t understand what is being said. These units deliver crisp sound and make a major difference in my ability to follow conversations. They have plenty of amplification, in fact I run them at the lowest setting and in some cases I find it would help to have a step or two below the lowest available. As their videos say, (and you should watch them if thinking about buying), they do amplify surrounding sounds along with voices, so when in noisy public environments you need to “train” yourself to filter out the unwanted background noise, other conversations, etc., to get the maximum benefit. When in REALLY noisy areas I find it is better to just turn them off and lean closer to the person speaking.Bottom line, while they are pretty basic in terms of customization, they work quite well for me, and when the very reasonable price is factored in, I give them a full five stars.

  13. My 90 year old father has been hard of hearing my entire life (he was 52 when I was born) and it’s just gotten worse as he aged. He had $3000 hearing aids for years but when they stopped working he didn’t want to spend the money to get them fixed. So he lived for YEARS without being able to hear all that well. We had to make sure he could see our mouth and that we annunciate very clearly. He was constantly making us repeat everything. I had been trying to get him to get new hearing aids for years but he didn’t want to go through the trouble of going to specialist & getting he hearing checked again and then hearing aids fitted etc (he also doesn’t trust the salesmen at hearing aid stores etc. He was born during the Great Depression… what can I say?).Anyways, when he saw that the FDA approved over the counter hearing aids he was excited and told me to look into them. He wanted to spend under $300 and after extensive research I found these. I was very hesitant because I didn’t want to get him crap that wouldn’t work. At this price, it seemed to good to be true. But in his mind, anything was better than nothing. So I agreed and we got these. ABSOLUTELY LIFE CHANGING FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY! He can hear! He even thought he was completely deaf in one ear and with these he can hear out of BOTH ears! He thinks every one speaks to loudly now. He’s still getting used to them. But we don’t have to repeat ourselves a million times & he can finally feel involved in family conversations again. He also loves that he can charge them and not have to change the little hearing aid batteries all the time. That’s one thing he used to hate about the old hearing aids he had. He loves them & so does the whole family. Absolutely worth the price. He feels like these are even better than the $3000 hearing aids he got back in 2004.

  14. I have been using this type Britzgo hearing device for years. Considering the low prices of devices and batteries, I find them useful and convenient.1. The wearer doesn’t need any help to fit or use them. They are simple to use and wear.2. They are bulky enough that I don’t loose them, as opposed to using completely-in-ear equipment.3. I have reached an age & am of such a sex (male) at which I don’t care if people can see I use them.4. I use regular, fungible LR44 batteries that last a week or more. They are easy, cheap to obtain on internet5. As war vet I qualify for expensive, in-ear, free- of- charge type. But those are easily misplaced or lost.6. When I lose or wear-out a Britzgo, I simply replace it for $50.00 out of my own pocket. No hassle.7. I get mine via Amazon within a day or two.8. Britzgo sells higher priced models. But the kind I wear work well enough for me.9. I use them all day every day. They’ll last at least a year or two.10. I am so accustomed to this type that I never look for others.11. You might get better results from types costing $1000, $2000. But I am well satisfied by the Britzgos.12. I have worn them VERY BRIEFLY by mistake in the shower a few times. I dry them off and they still work.13. One will work in either ear. It is simple to adjust.14. Read the directions closely before use and you’ll most likely have no trouble.15. Take enough time to become acclimated to them before returning them.16. I absolutely need these devices to hear. Am more than slightly deaf. Condition was progressive.17. I get no freebies from Britzgo. I have liked the service I get at low cost. So I offer the above.Ron Parsons, J.D.Atty. at Law (Ret.)Fredericksburg, Virginia

  15. I bought these because I have Menieres which comes with ringing in the ears and progressive hearing loss, and I can’t afford hearing aids from an audiologist at this time. The problem is that they’re NOT noise canceling as advertised and they amplify ALL sounds, including background noise like central air, fans, and engine sounds while in the car, and these background sounds often overpower speech, which is what I needed help hearing. If they were actually noise canceling I would continue to use them, but all the unnecessary noise was giving me a headache so I had to stop using them.

  16. As you can see, the dial to turn the heating aide up is damaged/completely missing. The left ear piece has a dial that I have to use a tool to turn up, when I went to turn up the volume on my right ear piece, there was no way to do it.UPDATE: The seller reached out to me about my review and offered a replacement for my right ear piece which was so very nice of them! The left one works great so the product itself is very good for the price paid

  17. I bought this to help me hear my TV without blasting the sound, and it works very good for me.

  18. It fell from ear to the ground once and quit working

At first I was really botherd by scratchy noise, particularly when moving the plug. I replaced the earpiece with a good set of binaaural buds and the noise is gone! BTW, the unit seems to be binaural in function.
