I had a very bad experience with my King Koil Bed but when I contacted them, they went way out of their way to make me happy. They sent me a brand new bed in no time at all. I didn’t have to go the trouble of sending the old leaky one back either. They were super apologetic and after a year of replacement they called me to see how my bed is. I used it a few times since the trail ride and it was just fine. I used it for guests to sleep on. There were no complaints. I will be doing the same trail ride again at the end of the month. I am pretty sure that I won’t have the same problems as what I had last year. I would recommend King Koil for their super customer service. The beds are very very comfortable and if there is a problem contact them and they will most definitely take care of ur complaints pronto. I am thinking that the customer service is more important than the product. So if ur looking for a very comfy air bed that’s easy to climb in and out of, give them a try. I highly recommend King Koil. They treated me like roayalty.This had to be the worst purchase that I have ever made through Amazon. I am so disappointed. I replaced a queen size airbed to use in my tent when I went on my over night trail rides. My queen size was excellent but it took up too much room so I was delighted when this thing was delivered. I did everything that the instructions told me to do, I filled it, which was super slick. I left it up for a couple of days like they suggested so it could stretch. They said that it would go a bit soft, which it did. I did not lay on it at all, just left it and then deflated it and packed it away for my week long trail ride and camp out. I packed it in my vehicle and was super excited to get it out of the bag and filled it up while in my tent. I used an extension cord and my inverter. It filled beautifully. I put a foam pad and a huge and thick comforter under it because of previous experiences with airbeds in tents. The air in the bed gets extremely cold if you don’t put it on top of something to insulate it against the cold ground. I put a queen size fitted sheet on it and then my feather down sleeping bag covering myself with a feather comforter. It was so comfortable, until the morning. It had gone very soft. No problem, the instructions said that this might happen. I accepted it. As the week wore on, this bed got worse and worse. I had to fill it twice, once in the day and then before I went to bed, it was still very very soft in the morning. I wasn’t getting any sleep at all and I was extremely stiff from the way that it had me encapsulated. I felt like a sausage in a bun. The very last night and the 6th night of my ride, was just the worst. I hadn’t been able to sleep on this horrid thing, it was getting worse and worse. I needed my sleep (riding horses for 8 hours a day). Just before I went to bed, I filled it AGAIN.. it was firm and very comfy. At 3 am, my feet were way up in the air and my head was on the ground. It had lost pretty much all of its air. I was in tears, I gathered up all of my blankets and went to my SUV to see if I could get some sleep. No good, it was totally against the reason I am in a tent. It was so uncomfortable, andI need to see and hear the horses through the night. Back to the tent I went, pushed the totally deflated KING KOIL MATTRESS to the side and slept on top of the foam and comforters. I finally got some sleep. I am so frustrated!!! I want my money back and I never want to see this thing again.. I did my research.. this was supposed to be just awesome.. well, its total junk and I am now going to contact the company.. If I could give it no stars, I would.. I am so tired.. and my vacation/trail ride was ruined

I purchased this air mattress/bed after reading all of the positive reviews and I’m glad that I did. All the positive points were accurate; inflated quickly, good quality,etc. And, despite the few negative reviews about it not holding air, I can only say that those people must have gotten a defective product because not only did mine hold air for at least a couple of months, I even had to let a little air out at one point.Now…as for the warranty. The 2 year warranty is the primary reason that I’m writing this review so that potential purchasers will know that they are not lying.After close to 3 months, though it had held air that entire time, all of a sudden it began losing air to the point that it became completely deflated within a few hours. Try as I might, I could not find a leak, so…I called them on the phone to let them know.Not only were they gracious, they kept their word about the 2 year warranty and sent me a new mattress!Over the years I’ve noticed that people will clamor to write a bad review if they are unhappy with a product or service, but if they’re happy with the product they won’t take the time to write about their positive experience. I’m of the philosophy that if something is good, it’s only right and proper to acknowledge that, so I am.Now…allow me to make a suggestion to the company/manufacturers…you need to make a version of this mattress WITH AN INFLATABLE HEADBOARD like some of the other air mattress companies do. Your product not having one is one of only 2 criticisms that I have about your product.The first is that though you do indeed have the fastest built in pump to inflate the mattress, it’s also the loudest. Where I live there are other people who have to get up very early to go to work and when my mattress started losing air in the middle of the night I was to afraid to inflate it as I was concerned that the loudness would wake everyone up.My second criticism is the headboard issue. As much as I love your air mattress, I will never buy it again unless you add the inflatable headboard option to some of them.Every night I had to pick my pillows up off the floor because they would fall off the edge despite the fact that I had the head of the bed against the wall.I’m now using an air mattress that does have an inflatable head board as part of the bed and the difference is like night and day. I sleep more soundly and am a lot more comfortable because I’m not waking up a number of times each night to retrieve my pillows.I buy air mattresses on a continual basis and if you guys would make one with the head board option I would buy it repeatedly for the rest of my life.Thank you.

We got this to replace a fifteen-year-old Aero mattress that finally sprang a leak. I think the Aero company made the best air mattresses ever (does anyone know what happened to them?), so I’m holding this Enerplex to a high standard. And it holds up pretty well. I’m halfway through a cross-country road trip with my grown sons, camping for the most part, and this air mattress has done what we’ve needed, without any hassle.Pros:–Thoughtful design: The mattress comes packaged with a good nylon stuff sack with a pair of shoulder straps, so you can backpack it if you need to (although I can’t really imagine why you would, but that’s just me). In the stuff sack, it folds flat to a package about 20″ x 15″ and maybe three inches thick, flat enough to fit among your gear without trouble. It includes a powered air pump with a selection of nozzles (so you can also blow up your pool floats, or whatever), with a suction port if you need to deflate something quickly. Also included: 120v and 12v power supplies/cords, so you can run the pump if you’re camping at a place w/o an electric hookup, and a small stuff sack to keep all the pump parts together. The pump and other bits in their sack don’t add appreciably to the profile of the folded air mattress in its stuff sack, but having a separate sack for the pump also allows you to tuck the pump in separately if space is at a premium.–It’s comfortable: the top surface is flocked, so you and your sleeping back don’t slip off. Properly inflated, it has the usual tube-and-air-channel construction, so it provides good support.–Easy to use: Inflating is easy enough to do in bad light when you’re tired. Just plug it in, and press-fit the nozzle of the pump to the inflation port. The port has a one-way valve, so you don’t have to rush to close the valve when you’re done inflating; closure is a simple screw-on cap, secured to the valve with a short leash. I haven’t managed to cross-thread it yet. No significant leakage yet. Deflating requires you push the one-way valve open by pushing it back with your finger until it catches inside the valve ring, easier to do than describe. If you don’t have time to let it deflate on its own, you can reverse the pump to speed the process. The two power cords (120v and 12v) are maybe six feet long each. The length of the120v cord isn’t an issue, because you can always plug it into an extension cord, but the 12v cord doesn’t really reach far enough from the car to allow you to inflate the mattress anywhere but inside the car–which may be possible if you aren’t travelling fully loaded; otherwise, you need a second person to hold the mattress off the ground as it inflates.–Durability: still an unknown. The vinyl feels slightly less robust than my old Aero, but I don’t know if that’s anything to go on. It doesn’t feel flimsy by any means. It has held up well over several weeks of daily packing/unpacking & inflating/deflating. We’re currently hunkered down in a cabin, where we’re keeping it inflated, and it went a week before needing to be topped off. So far, so good.Cons: chiefly the short 12v cord or the absence of a rechargeable battery. Aero was able to fit a good battery inside a reasonably sized pump housing 20 years ago. I assume the lack of one in this pump is to keep the price low, and in the current inflationary climate (OK, no pun intended bc it’s not funny) it’s the kind of sacrifice we have to get used to. But I don’t think it would have added much to the price to put a good long (20′) cord on the 12v power supply, so you could inflate the mattress inside the tent, or somewhere else where it would be safe from damage.Summary: good value for the price, an entirely satisfactory air mattress for car camping (or the occasional guest).

Got to try this air bed out over the weekend on a camping trip. I have to say for not being one of those double thick air beds that are usually the more comfy ones. This air bed did pretty good on our trip. The nights were pretty cool maybe in the upper 40’s/ lower 50’s and the air bed did not loose much air if any at all. My daughter was pretty rough on it jumping on it like it was a trampoline but it held up no air lose or punctures. But only time will tell how it will truly hold up.As for how it felt/slept it was for the most part comfy. Gave enough support for my back which isn’t in the greatest shape. Over night it held its’ air and shape well. I don’t really know how to explain this but how the air bed feels was more stretchy/flexible compared to the many air matresses I’ve experienced and used. Most feel plasticy and rough but this one like I said for the lack of better terms was more stretchy and flexible. Hope that helps?? haha probably not you’ll have to see for yourself. This is a definitely a recommend for friends and family if you need a camping or even a spare in home air bed.

This mattress is just what I needed for a good night’s sleep.

My adult daughter had minor surgery and needed to come to my home for a short recovery period. I bought this mattress based on overall height. Shortly after it was delivered, I received an email from the company with some tips on using and maintaining it. Based on their recommendation, I inflated it the day before her arrival. I like that it has the inflator inside the mattress. You just plug it in and blow it up. I let it set for 24 hours to warm up, and then topped it off with a bit more air.My daughter said it was super comfortable and she slept like she was home in her own bed. It was a little low for her to get up from, but that was because of her surgery.It comes with a storage bag, so you don’t have to try to squeeze it back in the box. And, it deflates completely.I’m really happy with this purchase.

We needed one more bed for our sister’s weekend, so I purchased this bed. It was easy to inflate. My sheets fit fine and I slept well. The brochure said it would need air after the first and even second night, while the bed adjusted to the room temperature and my weight. They were correct. Thankfully, I didn’t wake up laying on a flat bed on the floor (I’ve had that happen more than once with other brands).I also didn’t feel like this was expensive at all. It was easy on my budget. It will now become a spare bed for my grands when they come to spend the night. I think they will enjoy it as much as I did.

This bed is fast & easy to blow up, easy to deflate and surprisingly easy to refold. I use a mattress protector to keep some of the rustling sound down. Be sure and put a rug or mat underneath to keep it from moving during the night and to avoid punctures. It’s pretty tall so easier to get up from than expected. Play around with the amount of inflation to make the sleep more like your own bed. The only down side is the patch kit that they supply. It looks pretty flimsy.

I never write reviews.But here I am sleeping on this air mattress again because we needed to bring it to my in-laws’ house for Thanksgiving…. And it is so much better than the mattress I normally sleep on at their house that I was inspired to finally review this purchase.I originally got this to sleep in my daughter’s nursery right after she was born. She’s my second child and after my experience with my first I knew I didn’t want to use a pack n play for our baby because then I would have to crib train her later. So instead we got this air mattress for me (twin) to sleep on so she could go into her crib from the first night home. I slept on it for about 3 months straight while recovering from a C section and then on and off through various sleep regressions until she was about 7 months old.As I recall the first time I opened it there was a bit of a plastic smell – but it dissipated after a couple days. It inflates on its own in under a minute. It provides decent support and it is QUIET. It doesn’t really creak or squeak when rolling over. It never woke up my daughter, and she’s a fairly light sleeper (unfortunately lol).I do suggest getting a really cheap foam egg crate topper or thin memory foam topper just to provide a little more “give.” I used an egg crate and that’s all that’s necessary to make this comfortable. For reference I weigh about 155 lbs.Over the course of the 7 months we had it inflated in her room I think we plugged it in to top up the air two or three times. No biggie.We have since had it in storage for about a year and just pulled it out again. It inflated good as new, and I’m now having flashbacks to those sweet newborn days with my daughter….I am thoroughly pleased with this purchase and have gotten my money’s worth of use out of it. We will continue to use it, and if it ever dies on me I will buy another of the same brand for the 1-2 times per year you just need to be able to sleep that extra person.

Easy to fill/use, comfort is okay, just as good as any other air mattress I’ve used, no better or worse.

We bought this for our spare guest room and didnt want to spend too much on a real mattress so tried out this air mattress. It has gotten a lot of compliments from our guest and took us less than 5 mins to setup

So, because I relocated to another city, but my household would not relocate for another 45 days, I rented a place and needed a bed.I bought this one – and a pillow top, and 2 blankets because I have a cat. Now, I don’t want to risk anything and my cat has claws and likes to dig them into the bed sometimes. If you have this issue – I put on one blanket, then a pillow top and then bought twin xl sheets. It is still intact a few weeks later! (I will update if it doesn’t stay that way).I sincerely sleep really well on it, only add more air on Sundays. I way around 190 and my cat weighs around 15. Probably due to the coverings, who knows? – it doesn’t feel ‘cold’ to me even on cold nights where I am.Love this and sincerely intend to buy another 1 or 2 for when I have all my college kids come visit.

This mattress is perfect. I breathe a sigh of delighted relief and gratitude each night as I get into bed. If you are looking for a substitute for the classic Aerobed, this is your best bet.We’ve preferred air mattresses for many years. At first it was because we were moving around a lot and were sick of hauling conventional mattresses and box springs with us. Then it was because we built a platform bed and needed something that was easy to lift and get into position in the frame and that wouldn’t add to our own weight on that frame. And then I realized that it was simply the best mattress that I’d ever used. We slept every night on that Aerobed for TEN YEARS, occasionally patching tiny holes. But it was a standard size and we eventually decided to get a queen, so we saved the standard for guests. And that’s when the trouble started.In less than 4 years, we went through 3 mattresses of different brands because we could no longer find Aerobeds in queen size. We tried the Sound Asleep Dream Series because it was reviewed as the most durable bed, but it failed catastrophically in less than a year, developing a rip overnight that was too big to patch. We then tried the Englander Double High, which again was reputed to be super durable because of the unusual materials. The Englander warned that you had to let the mattress stretch for a few days, refilling it each morning. So we did that, but eventually it became clear that it simply had a slow leak right out of the box, a leak so slow that we weren’t able to find it to try to patch it. We spent a miserable year sinking into the mattress over night, using the unspeakably loud pump to refill it just before bed, then doing it all over again the next day. It eventually developed an enormous hump from one side to the other, and that was the end of that. We gave it to a family to use for their small children on either side of the hump.Then we tried a memory-foam-topped conventional mattress, the heat and discomfort of which we endured for 2 months before realizing that we were never going to get a good night’s sleep again if we kept giving it another chance.So then I did a long, long, long search, and decided to take a chance on this Ener-Plex Never Leak. Reviewers here seemed to like it, though no one said that they were sleeping on it for years at a time. And it was $35, so no huge loss if it sprang a leak. It’s now been a month and a half. Not only has it never leaked AT ALL, but it only stretched after the first night. After it was topped, it never needed anything.It’s stable, so my partner and I don’t wake each other when we move. Yet it has the resilient bounciness that we so love. It can be adjusted to the firmness that the sleeper prefers. We like the bed to be nice and tight so we keep it full.Don’t worry that it is thinner (only 9 inches tall) than many of these newer styles. The extra thickness doesn’t add any comfort, and it tends to make the bed less stable such that it can sway from side to side. I’m now also convinced that the thicker the mattress, the more vulnerable it is to the internal supports breaking and/or the places where those supports attach to the surface to tear. This happened with all three of our taller mattresses. Our old beloved Aerobed standard was also only 9 inches. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Go ahead and get the thin one, I promise it’s quite thick enough and your elbow and knee won’t hit the floor.At this point I’m convinced that we’ll be able to sleep every night on this mattress for at least a year before it springs a leak. I’m not too worried, though. I think this mattress is basically the old Aerobed, and it was at least 4 years before that one got its first pinhole in it. I patched pinholes with a few layers of aquarium-type silicone sealant.Caveat: If you are thinking of making an air mattress your permanent or long-term bed, you must be prepared for a couple of things. They are COLD COLD COLD, and your own body heat can never warm them up. In the summer, this is great, because the bed will suck the heat out of you for a comfy night’s sleep. In the winter, it is awful, because it sucks the heat out of you for a miserable night’s sleep! Therefore, you need some layers on top of it. I recommend a sheet of conventional egg crate foam, with a low-voltage electric blanket that will stay on for at least 10 hours or however long you need to sleep. Turn on the blanket while you are getting ready for bed.I highly recommend this mattress. Since they are both cheap, and small when deflated, we may buy 1 or 2 more as backups, to avoid the sadness we experienced when the Aerobed was discontinued.

My father in law just slept on this for 3 nights and said it was great. My child has used it play on also and didn’t puncture or pop it! So far so good!

I bought this for a road trip to Arizona. There was five of us going. Most hotel rooms only have two queen beds so instead of paying for an extra room we brought this along so my eight-year-old son could sleep in it. It saved us tons of money in the long run and my son was nice and comfortable during the entire trip. Really easy to inflate. The bag that comes with it allows extra room for the fact that I’m not capable of folding it like it came out of the package. It didn’t take up a lot of space in the back of my van with all the other luggage.
