I really like the roominess and it is very smart looking.
The box had holes all over it, and it was taped up everywhere! Some scratches on the unit also, but not enough to send back. I guess China doesn’t care about packaging. So far the freezer is working well. Takes about two hours to get to below zero. Keeps ice cream nice and hard. Will see how it goes as time goes by.
I wanted this freezer to try and save some money by buying in bulk. I vacuum pack my meat and put it in the freezer but this one takes days to freeze the meat if at all. Don’t waste your money on this freezer. Your savings will go into the trash.
It’s the perfect size, and arrived with no damage at all. After 24 hours I noticed a lot of frost built up already. That’s when I noticed the door wasn’t sealed at the bottom on the hinge side. Thankfully my hubby is a mechanic. He removed the hinge plate on the bottom, and found there was no hole where the screws needed to be in order for the door to seal properly. He drilled a new hole and put it back together and seals perfectly now. Moral of the story: perfect size freezer, but be prepared to have to tweak it.
So easy – Amazon wheeled it into my garage, and – as a 67 year old woman – I was able to easily unpack and position it all by myself…after letting it sit upright, I plugged it in, and it was fully freezing in 2 hours… and then it was fully stocked with a few weeks of good eats inside of the next two hours! Good extra freezer space, but it doesn’t take up any space in our garage. Wish we’d purchased this sooner…!
Great little freezer, holds a lot of food and the shelves keep everything organized and easy to get. Ordered 3. First one was dented and had a hole in it, like a gun shot. Second one had a crack inside and frost started building on the crack as soon as it was plugged in. The third one was dented down the front door but since it was for the basement I kept it and was offered a discount. Works just fine and returns were easy, but 3 out of 3 being damaged was frustrating.
It’s been out of the box for about 10 hours and seems to be doing well with testing by freezing a half full water bottle. First impressions… it slides around on the laminate floor too easily. I put a couple of shims with double sided tape in front of the legs to prevent sliding. The seal is ridiculously tight and hard to open the door without pulling the unit. I appreciate the tight seal but, when it makes it almost impossible to open the door, this could be a problem. Perhaps when it is full with more weight in it, that will be rectified.
