Top 10 best mosquito sprays 2022 passed our test

Not sure why most of the top reviews marked as helpful are almost all negative…?I bought three different brands of outdoor bug spray at the same time to compare because I CANNOT stand chilling on my front porch at night after work with bugs swarming everywhere, and the other two work decently well, but this stuff lasts a LONG time. Like literally all night.It’s noticeably stronger for sure, so I hold my breath and fog the front porch when I get home from work at night and come inside for a few minutes to let it dissipate, and rather than a swarm of bugs around my porch light I only see an occasional moth here and there.Works infinitely better than any of the other numerous candles/sprays I’ve ever tried. Will continue buying every summer.

I purchased this by the dozen because I get at least 5 mosquito bites DAILY, on my face, arms and legs. I spray myself first thing in the morning and sometimes at night and I haven’t been bitten since I started using Repel. So, let me tell you some things about the product, if like me, you have a real problem with mosquitos, you must use 40% deet. I did a lot of reading and this is the recommended dosage. You can put it on your face (do not spray directly) spray your hands then put it on your face. I don’t spray it on my clothes, I just spray it on my body and then get dressed and it’s recommended that you wash your clothes after using Deet. I wait 4-5 days before I wash my clothes. My clothes are fine, no adverse reaction to the Deet. I haven’t had any skin reaction to Deet and find it a life saver. Yes I recommend this product over all others as it works !

Stocking up on these for sure. I am incredibly attractive to mosquitos and have typically gotten bitten about six times before anybody else knows there’s a mosquito in the vicinity. I don’t like to use deet because when I’m outside it’s usually with my baby nephew and I worry about toxicity. I’ve tried every natural organic remedy out there with zero success. These are not solely “botanical” but they are deet free and they WORK. Mosquitos will actually hover over my skin and then fly away disappointed. Unfortunately my sister can’t use them because she has very sensitive skin and they give her a reaction but I haven’t had any issues and neither has the baby (from proximity– you can’t actually put this on a toddler, unfortunately).

Cutters Skinsations is the first mosquito repellant that I have used that doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy and sticky. It sprays on and dries and leaves your skin feeling soft. Both of my pups sneeze at the smell when I spray it on, but for me, the scent is fresh and kind of flowery. And the best thing?? It does what it is supposed to, keeps the mosquitoes from eating you alive!! I highly recommend this product.

My area is usually plagued with Chinese cockroaches that literally cover my yard so I would spray the entire yard (and the neighbors) for them (with Spectracide). Well, this year, I didn’t spray for the big roaches because I haven’t seen any and think I have wiped them out (finally) and was quite pleased with myself. But, since I hadn’t sprayed, the “biting gnats” were atrocious from the grass and in my garden!! I never wear shoes and am always in shorts so the gnats would have a field day with me and I’d have bite welts all over my legs and ankles.Well… no welts any more!!! I can actually enjoy working in my yard and garden as in prior years without being bitten!!! A quick spray, rub it around to make my legs evenly covered, and I’m good for hours!!!Did I mention “I hate bugs”!!!!!!!!

Bought this for under our daughters trampoline. We live in a really buggy area (right by a creek) and she loves to jump on cool summer nights….. but sadly the bugs love to bite her. I’ve used some other sprays, but they didn’t seem to work well.Now after I really saturated the ground with this stuff and there are almost no bugs. She has not come in complaining of bites or bugs landing on her. I’m sure the neighbors appreciated her no longer screaming every time a bug was around her!This is a great solution. Seemed to work well for 2 months and then I re applied. This is my second purchase of this bug repellant.

We would have liked larger spray cans, but this was the only packaging available in an aerosol at the time we looked. Nevertheless, a light spray keeps the bugs away, and for ears, neck or forehead, a light spray to the hand followed by a manual application does the trick.

This stuff is literally the bees knees. During summer and warmer weather I have like 100 million mosquitoes that I can see circling me waiting to feed on my blood. I can go outside and writhing 10 minutes be concéder in bites. Which makes me stupid because if I KNOW this I should put it on before I go outside. Not always that smart though. I am smart for trying this because once I put this on it’s like I can watch the mosquitoes/bugs hover around me too afraid to land and attempt feed on me. It dries like a lotion does so you aren’t slimy or gross smelling. You can’t really smell it actually. This stuff is my favorite and a little goes a long way.

This is great for controlling mosquitoes, bugs and flies in your backyard. If you have a big backyard you’re going to need a long hose. I also suggest if you need a long hose to have someone help you manage the hose so you don’t accidentally break the connection between the bottle and the hose. Takes me about 15 min for 3/4 acre and lasts for 5 to 7 weeks.

Have used this for years. Yes it has Deet in it, but it really works. I spray my hands and rub it on my ears/ neck etc then spray my uncovered arms and legs. Not bothered by bugs while working outside in Florida’s Tropical Insect Loaded Climate… and we have them all year long.
