I looked and looked at all the pill splitters available on Amazon. Sure I wanted this one because as a techie I tend toward buying the higher end products knowing you rarely get burned for spending extra.The only question I ask myself is – is this an item I want to spend extra on. Cat litter, naw the cheap stuff will do, computer parts, nothing but the best.Personal health items – nothing but the best. I wavererd for hours if not days then closed my eyes and clicked buy it !I waited until honestly I forgot about it as my work life is CRAZY. I pulled the order up and it was 3 weeks old. It was shipped USPS ( heart sank ) and so I copied the tracking number and put it into the USPS tracking system. Yup 2 entries.1) wicked up a package2) it’s on a shelf in no-where America and-you-aint-never-gonna-get-it *** BECAUSE *** we’re the United States Post Office and our sole mission is for all you US Taxpayers to fund our pension. To heck with your mail. ( Sound familiar – same way unions AFLCIO busted Detroit because in the end all profit from car sales went to pension funds and health care – so it’s simply – the car companies said we’ll pick up our marbles and leave – and they did. )3) PS -> not sour grapes I’ve had multiple times where USPS updates their tracking late. FedEx and UPS – heck these guys phone ahead and bring coffee & donuts – and a SMILE – when they deliver their packages on time.–So I used the Amazon system to contact the super nice seller who said gosh this is a mess, and they should ship a replacement immediately I told them I would contact them when I received the package so they would know all is well.–Here is the email I just send the fine folks who produce Equadose:I’ll get another one out UPS today.–This is ******** and I wanted to ley you know I received my Equadose pill splitter. Vets split pills all the time and their staff most likely is like the inventor of this product and has tried every crummy splitter on the market.I couldn’t contain myself as I order another one to give her as a gift. My vet had no idea what it was. I told her it was the atomic, bionic pill splitter. She showed me the little plastic one they currently use now — eh, Mercedes or Model-T the choice is your’s.Anyway, terrific product from an even better company !

I have been cutting medium sized pills with a knife by hand for the last few years but I recently had to cut some small pills in half so I got this cutter. It works effortlessly. I’m able to cut pills in half the time it took before and the container helps reduce the mess since the cut pills easily fall into the holding section of the cutter. My only note is that it takes a bit of energy to line up the line on the pill with the blade when you’re working with a smaller pill, so if you have any issues with maneuvering small items (arthritis) this cutter may not be for you.

This Acu-Life pill cutter makes it a lot easier to split pills into halves. I have been using a typical paring knife, and never seem to get a true 50-50 split. This pill splitter makes it easy and accurate. Also when I use a knife I often get lots of crumbles, but with this splitter, there is little to no residue. And the built-in catch tray keeps the cut pieces from scattering across the countertop. Definitely a recommended product. Of course, since it isn’t expensive, and is made from plastic except for the butter, it is not very rigid, but it does not look like it will fall apart anytime soon.

Feels sturdy and I used to split several pills that I only take half of hoping to keep my prescription costs down on much needed medication. It’s a little awkward to use at first but got the hang of it quickly. It does small and large pills which is nice and will help me extend my prescriptions and reduce my cost of these medications. I would recommend.

Very easy to use. Has cut all of my pills in half exact every time. Might not be the easiest to use for a senior citizen because you have to turn the wheel to lock in your pills. Otherwise, excellent product!

I can slide 5-7 pills at a time into the cutter and it works very well. Way better than the cheaper “V” style cutter. If you buy one and load the pills in and can not get them all quite straight, don’t worry, clamp it down (easy to do) and even if they are at an angle, they will still cut your dose in half. Even if the crooked ones don’t look like the perfectly lined up ones, they are still 1/2 the dosage. This was money well spent.

Let’s just say that a prescription to treat a certain male-oriented dysfunction caused fantastically wicked headaches. My doctor recommended taking half a dose, even though I was ready to become a monk. I reluctantly bought this pill-splitter, and it is more impressive than the impact of the medication (that’s what she said). The pills slice right down the middle with little effort. There’s a brush to clear away residual dust so as not to contaminate other items that may need lopped in two. And it also came (excuse the pun) with a nifty medicine keychain. Very impressed! (Which is NOT what she said.)

Rule of thumb, make sure pill is completely in before cutting. Some came out wrong but otherwise pretty good.

I cut pills all the time at work and I get really frustrated with the old bit of plastic holding a razor blade type of cutter. I didn’t want that frustration to follow me home with my own medications. I saw this, was baffled and intrigued, so I bought it. No regrets.For a beginner though, know that it does not line up the cut for you. you have to hold the pill in the “teeth” and wiggle it til you think you’ve got it where you want. But that is still loads better than the cheap plastic cutters that line it up in the groove and still cut way off. Or the blade is just dull enough to smash most of it. I do not miss that problem with this. I get almost no pill dust, and the halves are very even. If you can stand a small learning curve, you’ll like it too.

You’re probably wondering why you should buy a pill cutter that costs more than most. If you’re happy with getting shards, powdered pills or unpredictably sized pieces, then carry on. But if you want one that works reliably, buy this. I need to give my cat a daily dose of 1/4 of an already very small pill. With this cutter, I can quickly cut a pull in half and then use a chopstick to flip the halves into place and cut both into quarters at once. I love this thing. Just be mindful when handling the top; the blade is exposed. Like any blade used frequently, it will eventually get dull, so I happily bought a second one a year later. I don’t consider that a flaw, that’s just normal wear.
