I am lazy, and although I buy almost everything besides perishable groceries on Amazon, I suck and pretty much never write reviews. Seriously, I spend thousands a year with Amazon, and I think this is my second review in 15+yrs. I am writing this one, because not only is the product amazing, but when they sent me the wrong flavor yesterday and I kinda started crying (I hadn’t eaten all day – it was 9p, was really hungry, and these were literally the only thing I wanted and this flavor isn’t sold in stores near me .. please forgive me Amazon for calling customer service while sniffling and a little emotional!!! 🙏🙏🙏). The customer service lady was super nice, dealt with my hunger-induced emotional state with kindness and understanding, apologized, and got a box shipped out to me super fast – it arrived this am!!! so one, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! .. now, onto the actual review of the product.I have been eating promax bars since the early 2000’s. Promax makes the best tasting bars, and nutty butter crisp is far and above the best flavor!!! 😍😍😍 I have always played sports, but got into lifting as well in college, so getting enough protein becamepretty important. Since the early 2000’s I have tried numerous protein bars, shakes, enhanced foods (like peanut butter and milk – shout out top fairlife filtered/ high protein milk 💪), so I feel qualified to say that this brand is amazing and has some great flavors – depending on one’s flavor preference. Obviously, if one doesn’t like pb and chocolate, this specific flavor is not for them. The other flavors I’ve tried that are great as well (just not my favorite or worth crying over 🤣) are lemon, cookies and cream, and chocolate brownie. Haven’t tried the cookie dough, I think I tried the chocolate peanut back in college and didn’t like as much as nutty butter crisp.Anyway, I would rather eat one of these than a candy bar, and I have a major sweet tooth, so these bars are legit. They give you the taste without the guilt, so if I happen to binge and eat a few in one sitting (this happens more than it should 😬😬😬🤭) I don’t feel too horrible about it because *protein* hahaha.The only reason I’d say maybe these aren’t for you, is if you hate delicious things 😁 or if you have crappy self-control like me, because you may easy the entire box in one sitting.There is only one other kind of protein bar that I buy now, won’t name them to protect the innocent :/, but I literally only buy them because they don’t taste very good, so I don’t have to worry about binging on them, thus I can buy them in bulk without an issue.Slightly ulterior motive, I’d like this flavor to remain popular, because if they ever discontinued it .. let’s just say that based on my reaction last night when I received the wrong flavor .. I may literally have a mental breakdown.Full Disclosure: I had avoided ordering them for two weeks because I was going to be stuck in bed after a procedure, and didn’t want to binge on them while depressed about being stuck in bed. So, when I finally ordered them, I was kinda desperate. I was waiting for them all day yesterday, constantly refreshing the delivery info page, then tracking the delivery guy’s route, wondered if it was ok to go meet him when he was 9 stops away, decided it probably wasn’t, waited outside for 30mins for him to show up, and almost kissed him when he arrived with my package. I went inside and rapidly opened the box. Upon seeing the wrong flavor, in a very dramatic fashion, I dropped the box on the floor, dropped myself on the floor, started wailing and screaming a little, then actual tears came. Then I decided I was being a little ridiculous, but while still sniffling, called customer service – which I have never done before, and don’t anticipate needing to do again, as nothing is really that important that I can’t just use the online system .. ok, except these .. anyway, I am not a cryer, and I’d like to blame lack of sleep, extensive hunger, and desperate anticipation for this behavior. I am really rather embarrassed actually, and I really apologize to my neighbor and Amazon for freaking out. But yes, under the aforementioned circumstances, nutty butter crisp promax bars are worth crying over 😁🤣🤣🤣. ENJOY!!!!

Taste is pretty good. Sure, would be nice if it was more sweet/tart…but it’s not supposed to have a lot of calories of course. All in all, I’m happy with these bars and will probably order more.

I was searching for a high quality protein bar priced affordably, and Promax had a deal that caught my attention. The deal was, I think, an amazing $15.99 USD for 12 Cookies’n’Cream protein bars packed with 20 grams of complete protein, calories, and essential micronutrients making Promax protein bars just about on the same level, in my opinion, as a meal replacement bar, something I really liked about Promax’s protein bars.First, the quality: The Cookies’n’Cream flavor was, in my opinion, not as good as some of the other Promax protein bar flavors, but the taste was still good, the bars were easy to eat, and left little residue on my hands after eating them. While these bars are packed with nutrition, I would have liked the protein sources to have been just whey and casein based as I think these are better quality sources of complete protein than soy protein, but soy protein is a complete protein too, and plant-based. But … second, I really liked the price which I thought was a great deal at one box costing about half its original price. Third, I also really liked the nutrition packed into just a few of Promax’s protein bars a day which provides a significant amount of macro and essential micro nutrients on the same level as a meal replacement bar in my opinion. Fourth, I liked the packaging. Each protein bar came individually wrapped in an easy to open yet sturdy wrapper, and it was great that the protein bars came in their own re-usable box.

I have never had a problem with getting these Think protein bar. They are always shipped to me in there own packaging/box. They are always fresh and good, but today I received a shipping envelope with Think bars thrown in the bag. Very weird to see them shipped to me this way. Not very happy about this.

I’ve been sampling vegan products because of milk allergies, not because of ethical concerns. This is yet another vegan product processed in a facility that processes milk and other allergens, according to the box. That’s not quite as bad as the vegan products that have the bold “May contain traces of milk” allergy statement, I suppose. Milk is not vegan, obviously. Again and again, I’ve seen both the “processed” disclaimer and “trace” disclaimer on vegan friendly products. It makes me wonder if anyone that chooses the vegan lifestyle is really paying attention, but nobody seems to question these statements being on supposed vegan products. Especially since the prices on vegan friendly products are very inflated.As to the actual bars… ). I love that these are so soft. A world of difference from the vegan Clif Builder bars, which are kinda like eating a bowling ball. The flavors were ok, but not as “yummy” as they’ve been described in some reviews (my personal opinion). The peanut butter chocolate one is my favorite. However, these definitely aren’t as filling as the Clif Builder bars, which are actually a lot cheaper. If the price of these were more compared to the Clif Builder bars, I’d probably choose these. However, I’d probably need some sort of snack mid-morning on really busy mornings, but I’m not sure these would do as a stand-alone breakfast bar.Overall, I’m glad I tried these, but I don’t I’ll be repurchasing these on a regular basis. The Clif Builder bars win out with the satiety factor. From an ethical standpoint, the Clif Builder bars are in the same ethical gray area. They carry the vegan label, but they also carry the “may contain traces of milk” disclaimer. I guess each customer is going to have to check these against his/her internal ethics scale.

Of the flavors I’ve tried, far and away my favorite is Peanut Butter and Jelly. I’m not a huge peanut butter fan, so this was surprising, but there’s a nostalgia factor, in addition to an attention to texture that makes all these bars a bit more satisfying than most other brands. This brand does a great job layering different textures — there will be a jammy bit, a chewy bit, and external candy, iced, or chocolate coating, then usually a crunchy layer. This really does add some dynamism to the flavor. I also think that, while they ARE sweet, they’re usually not cloyingly sweet — and while I do prefer real sugar over the taste of stevia and artificial sweeteners, note that while these bars do contain natural sugars like rice syrup, and both brown and white sugar, some seem to also include Sucralose (Splenda by any other name)—which I didn’t realize until recently. I do try to avoid these products despite most studies attesting to their safety, but that’s because many of these studies are flawed if not underwritten by the brands they’re testing, so consider the source.So, I guess just don’t eat these all the time or make them an everyday thing — they’re a high-protein treat, and not a substitute for “nutrition.” With that said, here’s my ranking of those I’ve tried:1) Peanut Butter and JellyThere’s a chewiness layer to this one that soooo recalls wonder bread…Just like mama made lol2) Chocolate peanut butterBits of peanuts and another chewy layer give this one a little toughness to the chew that I really like3) Mint chocolateTastes a lot like Andes chocolate mints they used to give out at restaurants after dinner :)4) Apple pieFlavor as expected, but this one seems a bit more typical in the sports bars (let’s be real, candy bar) lineup5) Lemon CakeMissed opportunity here to deliver that tart zing, and even a bit of granulated crunch, to really create an exciting flavor. Misses the mark for me.

Wish these protein bars are not that pricey, On the other hand, if the nutrition facts on the packing is truly 100% as they are listed, then they are worth it. These are for my husband. He eats them when he needs a quick fix of energy. Being on a renal diet, we have bought your bars because they are more than 10 gm protein, less than 200 mg potassium, less than 200 mg phosphorous and low sugar gm. He enjoys the “Lemon Cake” that I ordered in December 2022. This time I ordered “Almond Bliss” and Blueberry Cobbler” for a change, so that that he could try them out. I like that you have a variety of flavors. If my husband still love this brand of protein bars, I will definitely order for him when he finished with what we have now. So we will see.
