Using the instructions below that I copied and pasted from the email I received, I now can appreciate the quality of this mirror. Given your comments about the mirror fogging, please allow me an opportunity to explain how the mirror functionally works.* Most houses are kept in a temperature range of 70-75 degrees.* The average shower water temperature is 107.5 degrees.* Fog on a mirror is simply condensation. The air in the bathroom is heated by the shower and becomes saturated with moisture.* When this saturated moist hot air comes in contact with the shower shave mirror (which is still at normal room temperature roughly 30 degrees less), the moisture comes out of the air and condensates on the shower shave mirror surface.* When you hold your Shave Well mirror under the shower stream for a few seconds, the acrylic mirror will warm up allowing for the temperature of the moist air and the mirror itself to equalize.* Once you have held the mirror in the shower spray to equalize the temperature of your shower and the mirror, there can’t/won’t be any fog/condensation.All of that being said, the mirror works on basic science. The best practical example I can offer is the comparison of a cup of hot coffee and a glass of ice cold soda. If you set them side by side, the cold glass of soda over time will be covered in condensation and the cup of coffee will be warm and dry. As said above, moisture will condensate on the cooler surface. Bringing this example back to your mirror, if your mirror is still fogging after you warm it up under the shower spray then the only answer I can offer is that it remains cooler than the temperature of the warm moist shower. Since the mirror is rather thin acrylic, it should warm up in the few seconds you have been holding it in the warm water of the shower spray.Some additional thoughts that remain would bea.) If the mirror hung so high that there is a direct flow of cool air over the shower curtain/door or whether an air conditioning vent is blowing toward it. If this is the case, I am happy to send you a new hook so that you can reposition the mirror.b.) Research conducted by Gillette has shown that dry facial hair requires the same force to cut as copper wire of an equal diameter. After 3 minutes in the shower, hair has lost 70% of its tensile strength. As such, shaving toward the end of your shower is best on your face…and your mirror. Why? The wall of your shower is cooler than your recently warmed mirror. The later in your shower that you shave…the warmer the wall…the longer the mirror will remain warm…the longer the mirror will remain fog-free. Try it! I am sure you will see a big difference.c.) Make sure you are turning both the front and back of the mirror under the shower water spray when you are equalizing it. This will help in “warming it up” to equalize the temperature.2.) Regarding the “windshield” comments, try to clean your mirror with toothpaste. While this will not eliminate the water droplets on the mirror (which dry and make water spots), from personal experience I can tell you that once cleaned with toothpaste, the water “sheets” off the mirror and you are left with fewer water droplets on the surface. Simply wet the mirror, put a pea size amount of toothpaste on the mirror surface, wet the pea sized blob of toothpaste (note the emphasis on keeping it all wet…), rub it around a bit and rinse it off well. This cleaning will take care of the water droplet issue for a week or two and your mirror will look like new.As noted on the instruction sheet that comes in the mirror carton:What should I use to clean my mirror?Toothpaste works the best to remove water spots. Simply rub it on and rinse it off. Great Product. Instead of using the double stick tape method I cut a small piece of clear 1/4″ Lexan and stuck the mirror to the Lexan with the double stick tape. Then I used 3M removeable strips to stick the Lexan to my shower wall so I could remove it if ever needed. It holds a charge for a couple of weeks it flashes when its on to tell you the battery needs charging, It doesn’t take long to charge, It takes around 2 minutes to clear the full screen and it shuts down automatically to save the battery. The screen is very clear and nice size. Most shower mirrors have a curve to them and distorts the image. I’m very pleased with this mirror after trying many others at $20 each. It was worth spending the cash upfront and getting a good one. My only complaint is the ball socket is starting loosen up so it tends to droop while showering. But I’m going to try wrapping a rubber band around it to see if it will hold it tighter and contact the manufacturer. I highly suggest this mirror if you shave when you shower.

I purchased this to use in the shower when shaving. I love the overall sleek design and bright lights. However the magnification was way too much for shaving use. This may be ideal for putting on makeup or other activities where you need to see fine detail.In the end, I returned this product, and looked for a lower or no magnification version from the same manufacturer. However since nothing was available, ended up settling for a Sharper Image version that does not have quite as sleek of an interface.

Loved this mirror, never had any problems with the anti-fog. They have different ways to mount but the suction cup will eventually weaken and the mirror will fall. So now every time I scrub the shower, I remove the mirror so I get to reset the suction cup. Since I have done that it has stayed mounted. Unfortunately when testing this mirror to see how long it would stay mounted, which was approximately three months, it fell for the first time. It is fragile when it falls. Mine suffered a crack running from 7 o’clock to 3. Because of the crack the mirror fogs up. I just run the shower water on it for about a minute and it quits fogging. Going to ride out the broken mirror until it can’t be used anymore and buy a new one. I would purchase another one of these mirrors but the fragile construction, as it fell in a fiberglass tub, made me give this review a 4 star review.

Even the product review thinks there’s some way to hang this thing included. Thing included. There is nothing included in this to help you hang it it’s just 2 mirrors but the picture shows a hook

This is a great product that works really well. This is my 4th shower mirror. Other products had an antifogging film that would always get ruined so I decided to try something different. I will answer the 3 questions I had when I bought this mirror that the other reviews didn’t answer for me. 1. I did not use the adhesive on the back based on the other reviews that mentioned damage to the bathroom tile. Instead I hung it up using Command strips and it’s still hanging 30 days later, no problems. 2. This mirror doesn’t come with a cup to fill with water. I ended up using a small plastic measuring cup I had on hand. 3. Once mounted, the mirror rotates about 90 degrees in both directions. That’s how you drain the water from the reservoir.

Likes: Large and substantial suction cup. Positive locking mechanism on the cup. Good razor hook. Mirror stays fog-free, mostly. Dislikes (slight): The mirror never gets so foggy that it’s unusable, but it does appear “damp” with moisture sometimes. Perfectly good enough to shave with though, and not bad enough to downgrade.This replaced a piece of junk from Walmart, which began falling off the shower wall a couple weeks after I put it up. No matter how clean the wall was, or how clean the suction cup was, it would lose suction a day or two after reattaching. Much happier with this item, so we’ll see how much longevity it has.

It will remain fog free for about 6 months. Moisture from the shower will eventually stick to the mirror causing it to lose functionality. As soon as you try to wipe it clean, game over. Its fog resisting coating will be gone and you are left with water spots and it will no longer be fog free. This is basically true with any fog free mirror. I have tried many.

So far so good. Nice looking mirror for the shower. like that you can hang your razors, squeegee included if it fogs up and the mirror is a nice size. I had others in the past and the mirror was so small. This does fog a little if you are taking a HOT shower. I placed ours opposite of the shower head. (instructions say to fill w/ hot water to keep it from fogging but we don’t.) Doesn’t look cheap like others.

They are sturdy and very light. However they do fog easily. I use shaving creme on the mirror to keep fog off and that seems to work
