We were one of the only houses on the street that had a spider infestation on the front of our vinyl-sided house. It was constantly covered with spider excrement leaving brown stains that wouldn’t come off. Within days of having the house pressure-washed, the excrement and stains were right back. We even hired a professional pest control company with no visible results. I read some of the online reviews for Miss Muffet’s Revenge and was a bit skeptical. However, since it is specifically for spiders, I gave it a try and was unsure at first. After spraying the entire infected area, we still saw spiders, eggs and baby spiders. I think the initial spray forced the spiders out of their nests. To be sure, I sprayed the area a second time and haven’t seen a spider since and, best of all, no excrement! I will use this product twice a year to make sure we don’t have spiders ever again. By the way, the container is only a half-gallon but goes a long way. Besides spraying the worst areas on the front of the house twice, I sprayed around the entire foundation as well and still have some left.

We live in an apartment and are forced to pay for pest control monthly. Despite constant complaints about spiders, the paid- for “professionals” never did anything except spray some poison in a few corners and act irritated that I expected more. I ended up buying my own poison and spraying more thoroughly…but I had to keep applying every time there was a heavy rain or I mopped the floors. The constant anxiety of having spider poison in a home around my children was awful…but my son had already had his leg swell and had a terrible infection from a spider bite. So the poison seemed the lesser of the two evils as long as I kept a constant watch on them to keep them away from the baseboards. But even that seemed to stop working!This past summer we were finding and killing at least 10 brown recluse spiders per day. And those were just the ones we actually could see! I am an extremely clean person and this problem continued despite thoroughly cleanings of carpets, “unused” places, the garage, etc. i basically turned my whole home inside out trying to clean the problem away to no avail. I was told by an uncaring pest control guy that they had probably laid eggs in the walls and there was nothing they could do about the thousands of spiders that would result from that horrific situation. I began pouring expensive bottles of peppermint oil around my children’s room out of fear…and that KINDA helped but it was EXPENSIVE.FINALLY I got desperate and decided the simplest solution was probably the best. Boy, I wish I would’ve wised up sooner. I put these sticky traps everywhere and watched them FILL with a terrifying number of spiders. I think I have found 2 spiders that got past the traps in the past several months. My babies aren’t afraid of getting bitten anymore and I can rest easy knowing my children are safe until we can leave this terrible, infested piece of hell disguised as a luxury condo.If you have a spider problem…get these traps NOW! Don’t wait like I did.

There I was minding my own business when my eyeballs beheld one(1) spider (the other bugs are irrelevant) and that was too many spiders. Twas still moving trying to escape, but fortunately for me to no avail. I was attacked emotionally, but thanks to this trap not physically. I basically almost died this trap saved my life. I’ve seen and killed too many spiders this size in my basement with my spider killing 2×4, but now I don’t have to do that because of this trap. I’m all done looking at spiders my eyeballs have had enough. My spider meter in my brain has been filled. I’m tired of writing this review I’m all done. Buy the trap. I’m going to buy 5 thousand more and carpet my basement with them. I’m going to have nightmares that the spider is still in my house and then I’m going to wake up and remember that I bought the trap and the spider is in the garbage. Maybe I should just go to therapy but I’m just going to buy these spider traps and put them in my ears.

I really want to like these because the concept is great. They were easy to assemble and I didn’t have any problems avoiding touching the adhesive. I have seen several spiders and crawly bugs stuck in the traps. The only issue is that there isn’t anything to attract the spiders, so really you are dependent on whether or not Mr. Spider happens to travel through the trap. If that is his journey of choice, he’s definitely a goner because these things are STICKY.

This is the one you want to get to remove a spider problem in your area. It does work to keep tjem away after killing them but be prepared for a second wave of spiders after killing the main obvious ones. We learned that the smaller, less “capable” spiders that were pushed put by the bigger competition, they move in to the suddenly competition free areas. I dont know if eventually those would have died too anyway but we did a second pass a week after the first initial pass and that finished the rest off. Haven’t seen a spider since. Spray this stuff liberally on anywhere you dont want spiders to cross or tread or set up webs. Front lawn trees? Soak em. Basement ceiling rafters? Soak em. Perimter around windows? Soak it.Apply again every 6-10 months. The compunds do have half life. Thats just chemistry, unfortunately.Finally, i can sleep soundly knowing i’m the spider reaper.

Works great. Nice to see big yucky spiders inside and know they are not roaming around my house.These work better than the paper ones. it seems like those were always getting stuck to things. These traps you can pick them up easily without touching the glue.

These work but please use them as a last resort if you have any empathy at all. They can hurt you.I tend to live and let live but after almost 2 thousand dollars work on a new truck that a rat decided was a warm place under the hood to make a home and chew wires I had to declare war on the rodents around our place.It was only self defense. I took three days but my husband and I cleaned out the garage and started parking the newly repaired truck in there. It takes some effort because it’s a big truck and a tiny garage but needs must.I knew there was a mouse in there. I had seen her on the security camera I have in there. I started to try to catch her first with the clear plastic humane live traps. I have lived in the country for years and they do almost always work. I check them often, drive out someplace remote, open the end and and shake the mouse out. It’s easy and it’s safe and it’s fun to watch them bound out into the grass so happy after their near-death experience.The mouse in the garage was far too smart for that… no matter what delicious thing I baited them with. She resisted them all. I tried other things. LOTS of other things. I tried gradually more lethal things but no dice. I saw her on the security camera almost nightly. She would have none of it.Finally I resorted to the glue boards. They have always eventually worked although it is heart rending to find the mouse in them, hopelessly mired.. sometimes dead, usually just MOSTLY dead and trying to breathe with the glue blocking their airways. If they aren’t too bad off I have gotten them free with vegetable oil and let them go but they always seem damaged and unlikely to survive. Usually, I put them in a grocery bag and kill them with a brick. It upsets me to imagine that some people just throw them away to suffer in what little time they have left in the garbage. I have no dislike of them. They don’t mean anyone any harm. They just want someplace warm and something to eat. I’d do the same if I was a mouse and so would you.It looked like this mouse was too smart for this too. Days went by. I checked the glue boards I had put in places I knew a mouse would go. No dice. I was really starting to respect how smart this mouse was. I knew she would want all the things that I baited everything with but she was too careful and brainy to fall for any of it.Then, yesterday I saw her on the security camera running back and fourth under the truck. This was unusual so I went out and found 3 young mice.. just old enough to leave the nest and start exploring, stuck in some of the glue boards. Silly little innocent things looking at me with wide, frightened eyes. They were too mired and damaged to set free. They were also too young. Winter is almost here. I killed them.I considered putting a dead one in the center of a ring of the glue boards I was pretty sure this would work but I decided I could never sink that low so I just replaced the boards with new ones.This morning, I found one more baby in one of the glue traps. Next to it was my nemesis mouse. She had tried to help her last baby and had gotten mired. They were both alive but just barely. Too far gone to try to free.I admit I cried after I dealt with them and threw all the remaining used boards away and replaced them with the plastic humane traps. If I am wrong and there is another baby I will probably catch the silly little thing. And I will make sure it survives one way or another and I will set it free. It is the only thing I can do for her now. I am sure that most people reading this will think I am an idiot but I feel I should do the best I can.You don’t have to care as much as I do but at least try the plastic humane traps first and check them every day. They do work and it is good for your karma.

You get a lot of these quantity-wise for what you pay for. Great price per unit compared to alternatives. However, for what you’re getting in quantity, you’re sacrificing a little bit in sticky surface area compared to alternatives. Some of the other more expensive ones have larger sticky areas, but these are also still good because of the multiple ways that bugs can get into the trap. When you fold these up and place them, you only have a sticky surface on the ground. With some of the other comparables, the sticky surface folds up in a way that encompasses the entire inside of the trap.

There’s no way these plastic things with glue inside should cost such a premium. You have to swap out often as house dust gets inside and and all over the glue. These are ok…. No chemical/pesticide smell which is why I buy them but really, lower the price. You get three to a pack they could give you ten for the price. Anyway good product but just you need to buy a bunch of packs to feel secure if you have brown recluse.

I really like these tapes. They really do a good job catching all sorts of things wherever they crawl!However, Terro has really been doing its customers a disservice by repeatedly shrinking the glue area on these traps. It seems like every couple of months they are reducing the area of the glue… As you can see in the pic, the old trap actually has a decent coverage area. The new ones I recently purchased has a noticeably smaller coverage area: both width and length.I’m at the point where I’m ready to find another product. Sad, these things work really well.Unfortunately, I no longer recommend these.

These work better than anything I’ve tried: traps, other brands of adhesive traps, wildlife safe poison like Rat and MouseX (you have to have patience with the latter and I was not feeling it this week) . I was pretty sure that I’d spotted a runway for what appeared to be a juvenile rat/very large field mouse. Caught him on the second day plus three other house mice who came to see what was going on. It’s not an instant kill of course and you do have to drown them if you want to quickly put them out of their misery. But I figure that misery pales next to the extreme and eventual fatal pain experienced by owls and other raptors who grab a rodent slowed by conventional poisoning.The problem I have with the product is the manufacturer’s instructions on this page do not match the product as delivered. “For best use, leave trap with paper on so pests can acclimate to the trap, then place glue boards along known or suspected rodent pathways.”Made sense to me. Only there were no papers on these traps. Instead they were inverted so sets of two were stuck together face to face. Pull them apart and the glue was already exposed. Rats especially can be suspicious, but there was no putting down these traps covered so a rat could safely investigate and grow comfortable with them before the fatal glue was exposed.If the manufacturer thinks this approach is enhances the likelihood of a clean catch then the product should be delivered in a way that makes it possible.

PERSONALLY, I HAVE USED THESE STICKY GLUE BOARDS FOR YEARS BECAUSE MY GARAGE DOOR STANDS OPEN ON DAYS THAT I AM DOING OUTSIDE YARD WORK. THERE IS NO MAN DOOR ATTACHED TO THE GARAGE. MANY, MANY CRITTERS FLY OR CRAWL INTO MY GARAGE FROM THE COWS THAT OUR LOCAL FARMER PUTS OUT TO PASTURE ACROSS THE ROAD FROM OUR HOME. THE FARMER ALSO SPREADS COW MANURE ON THE ACRES ACROSS FROM OUR DRIVEWAY WHEN HE CLEANS OUT HIS BARN. YES , THE MANURE HAS A VERY UNPLEASANT ODOR; BUT WE SIMPLY ADJUST OUR YARD WORK AROUND THE FARMER’S DUMP DAYS!!!

There is nothing more satisfying that seeing these strips filled with spiders. You have to be patient, when I first put them down I was looking at them every hour… but this collection happened after a 24 hour period when it was raining (in our case that means more spider traffic). I love these!! I posted 2 pics with this review, one with a penny in an attempt to show scale. Highly recommend!!
