First thing’s first, this is a relatively heavy and large dryer. That’s likely due to them packing it with so much more raw power than others I’ve researched. The low wind mode is more powerful than the high wind mode on the last hair dryer I use, which has since gone kapoot, hence my buying this one to replace it. I’ll outline a couple details about this dryer below.- The claims of it’s ionic performance seem to hold up, but I’ve never had much trouble with frizz in the first place so I consider my evidence on that to be limited. Ionic hair dryers will generally leave your hair flatter and more obedient, but with the cost of a little less volume. I think I’d prefer a non-ionic version, simply because I want more volume, but the differences don’t bother me enough either way to consider this a con or a pro. The difference is subtle, at least for me. Also, if I’m correct (or lucky) in how the ionic emission thing works, then turning down the heat but keeping the wind power up should lower it’s ionic performance as well, but that would increase drying time a bit.- I can dry my hair with this blower on high heat and high wind in around 3-5 minutes if I am efficient about it (my hair is about 6in long at the moment), though I’ll note I never dry my hair completely. I always leave the last bit of moisture to air dry by itself. My hairs themselves are unusually thick and my volume naturally approaches anime levels of magnitude some days, so I searched specifically for a very powerful budget dryer. That way I could blast deep into my locks and dry my hair evenly at all depths. This fits the bill.- As far as the weight and size go, the first thing I said to my family nearby after pulling out of the package was, “Whoa! Look at this chonkin’ dryer. It’s huge! Here, heft this chonker!” So take that as you will, lol. I am a male human though (disclaimer: a relatively thin male), so in practice, the weight doesn’t actually bother me much, especially since this thing dries my hair so fast anyway. I would never go out and buy this dryer if I needed a compact one for traveling though. It is large.- Ergonomics were strange at first. The handle itself is very large, like the rest of the dryer, and has a strange gentle hump on the back of it. Holding it like a explosive projectile accelerator, with the wind nozzle pointed towards a target of some kind, the handle felt a bit weirdly shaped, but not uncomfortable. However, when I tried holding it backwards, as I usually do when drying my own hair, so that my thumb was resting on the button side, the shape seemed to make a lot more sense in my hand. I can pretty reliably use all of the controls with my thumb while in the middle of drying.- Longevity: Don’t ask me about longevity, please, I’ve had this thing for like a week. Maybe I’ll add a longevity update later. The performance hasn’t changed between it’s first use and now. I’ve used it three times.- It does have a smell when first pulled out of the packaging. It was faint, but present, and not too unpleasant. Most new things have a smell, so I wasn’t surprised by it, nor did it bother me. Maybe just let it blow on high heat for a minute or two the first time you turn it on before actually pointing it at your hair, if you’re worried about it. The smell was gone for me within some hours of it simply sitting out in the open, instead of in a package.All in all, it works well and it didn’t knaw on my wallet too hard when purchasing, so I’m happy with it. 5 stars for this dryer. I got the red version because it come 10$ cheaper than the first black one, which I actually would’ve liked the color scheme more on, but hey, same product in different colors for a discount is tempting.

I have never really spent more that $15 on a blow dryer. I typically grab one at Walmart every 4-5 years. I have a lot of hair and it gets frizzy with blow drying and then it takes a fair amount of flat- ironing to look decent. It takes me 10-15 minutes to blow dry my hair with the average drugstore blow dryer, and after that I still have a wet spot at the bottom of my hair near my scalp, and I am sweating, but I quit anyway because I have stuff to do. Then my friend brings this SRI blow dryer on a trip and demands that I try it. I don’t want to. I didn’t feel like blow drying my hair, but my mild mannered friend is sternly insisting that I use her blow dryer. I was apprehensive, but took her fancy little blow dryer, wondering what the fuss was about. Four minutes later ALL of my hair was dry and I was not even sweating. I thought was some sort of wizardry. My hair was also NOT frizzy. It cut down on my product use and flat iron time. Then she told me the price. I honestly thought she had lost her marbles. Who buys a $200 blow dryer? Well, now me, but it was on sale for $150 at the time. So, now I have one too. I am slightly embarrassed about spending so much on a blow dryer, but it is so much more efficient and my hair doesn’t look like a wind blown cave woman after I use it and I am not sweaty. I consider this a solid investment because of the efficiency and the time it has saved me.

I love the tool itself. Easy to use, looks sleek, and dries fast. Will probably get easier to use with time too. My problem is that it arrived scuffed up on the top even though package came in perfect condition. Happy with the product, disappointed with the damage it came with. Just something to be aware of. For $200 I would have liked it in perfect condition. Gave it 4 stars for that reason and for not having it too long to know if it’s worthy of 5.

Before I purchased SHRATE ionic hair dryer, I was using a mediocre blowdryer for the longest time. I finally made the decision to upgrade my blow dryer since I use it every day. When I tested the Shrate hair dryer for the first time I was amazed on what it can do. I didn’t know at this price I would get such great quality product. The air flow is powerful and drys my hair very quickly making it soft. The noise isn’t too loud. The design feels high quality but just slightly heavier than what I was using before. There are different settings of high, low, and cool. I love the minimal design and I appreciate that it doesn’t have bright colors on it like other hair dryers that are similar. It comes with different nozzles. This is a great investment and would highly recommend this product to anyone.

I have been drying my hair with a round brush for years and it never occurred to me to do any different, but this dryer/brush combo is a game-changer for my morning routine. It doesn’t really cut down on the time but it is so much easier on my arms. My hair is long and fine so I only use the medium setting and it works great, however, if I am in a hurry I flip my head over and dry my hair for a couple of minutes with the regular dryer to shorten the dry time with the brush. In some of the reviews I read that the brush gives more body and volume but my hair is so fine that it depends on the products I use and the humidity, not my mode of drying, so I can’t say that it helped in that aspect.If you have long hair you know what a pain it is to round brush, so if you want to give your arms a break and do it the easy way I would recommend this dryer/brush.I did try to use it on my long bangs and I couldn’t get the look I want without using the round brush and the regular dryer – so if you have shorter hair then I would recommend the smaller brush that they sell or you will just have straight hair (if your hair is fine).

I have loved this hair dryer for almost a year. It started making a horrible noise and I reached out to customer service. They immediately got back with me and asked the my address to send me a new one. I will update if it doesn’t come in, but I am expecting it in a few days according to the email verification they sent me. This is worth the buy!**Update**I did get the replacement dryer. I checked multiple lists and reviews before purchasing and the BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium was on many of the best lists. Very happy with it – it dries quickly and my thick, wavy hair is shinier and much less frizzy than when I used an inexpensive drier from a big box store. It’s also lighter. Well worth the price.

I love everything about this hair dryer. It is lightweight and powerful. It drys my hair so fast and my hair is so smooth when I use the directional tools. I love the ability to have 3 speeds and 3 heat selections. I love the magnetic attachments (very strong magnets and they don’t get knocked off easily at all) and the self cleaning feature. Seriously best hair dryer I’ve ever owned.
