Less than 5 months later, this machine is a failure, DO NOT PURCHASE! From the first few times I have used this machine, it has given me problems. There is no consistency with the water level. The machine stops in the middle of the wash cycle, and shuts off. Resetting the control, and restarting the machine only results in the same failure. All to often I am stuck with a tub full of soapy water and wet clothes. Occasionally, the machine makes it way to the rinse cycle, but it does not spin very fast, therefore the fabric softener does not empty into the tub, and the clothes are not fully wrung out.GE has bombed completely on this one.It is a waste of time and money to purchase this machine.After reading many, many reviews from other sites, I understand that the machine is noisy. I am replacing a noisy GE. I am used to it. However, I found the dryer to be very noisy, rather than the washer. The dryer sounds like an old fashioned sewing machine, or a little air compressor. The worst part of the machine; no matter what I set the water temp for, it is always HOT when it use the WHITE setting. Hello! Not all whites need hot! I use the “Bulky” setting, with the water level set on SMALL, but the tub filled all the way up. What is up with that? I just had a few towels. Another time I used the PRECISE FILL setting a couple of times, and the water level was at the top of the tub, even though I only had a few items of clothing in the machine.Very imprecise, and probably going to cost me a lot in water, since the unit is faulty. I do not recommend this machine. There are far to many problems reported by several owners, and an exceedingly weak customer service does not help.

After months of using this machine I can only add a few negatives, otherwise I would have given 5 stars. Both the dryer and the washer could have and should have had lighting installed. These compact units are often installed in a closet and if you actually want to see into the washer especially, you will have to install you own lighting. On the plus side it is amazing how large of a volume both the washer and dryer are capable of handling. The controls are old school which is perfect for my tech-challenged 72 year old wife. If you are looking for something with an app this isn’t your machine. Relatively attractive, very efficient, effective and affordable. If it lasts as long as my last GE washer dryer stacked unit I’ll be dead before this one breaks. The wash cycle does make an indescribably strange mechanical sound but the spin cycle is extremely well balanced and relatively quiet. 4+ stars

This is great for a same family of two that doesn’t do much washing. I had to get use to the loudness of the product and the banging and parts settling after the first few washes. It can’t handle bulky loads well it doesn’t stay balanced. Over all it is doing what I need it to do. Okay product.

This unit is great for convenience in a small house and max 4 adults . As for the life of this unit that is another matter. Dryers and Washers are designed to wear out! Purchase the extended warranty plan for your unit! It pays for itself in the long run….but. If your into repairing your appliances the order system is fraught with many pitfalls and stupid people. When ordering parts they ALWAYS want to sell you what you do not need. Just have patience when ordering . Be sure of you serial and model numbers of your unit! Stay safe! Stay Healthy!

Very disappointed, especially for the very high price of this unit.The unit lacks an air only/no heat setting, even though the manual recommends a no heat setting for some fabrics. The heat setting only goes to “low heat” but does not have an air/no heat setting.There is nothing intuitive about this set. The controls are complicated and opaque in function. Some options are unavailable at times, for no discernible reason. The wi-fi connection is not well explained in the manual and I initially had trouble connecting to wi-fi.The manual refers to additional cycles/settings that can be downloaded via the app. Why? The whole idea of settings and cycles that can be accessed only by download seems to be a gimmick; why not have these settings/cycles available via the unit’s controls?The washer seems to do a good job and is very quiet. The washer drum is very deep and I need to get down on my knees to reach smaller items, like socks, in the back (and my arms are fairly long). The dryer seems very slow and never fully dries my clothes without multiple cycles, even at the highest dry setting.The buttons are supposedly touch-sensitive, but they often do not respond until I touch them several times.One of the selling points of the stacked unit is that the dryer is designed to select appropriate drying settings based on the selected wash settings. However, if you don’t get to the dryer very soon after the wash cycle ends, the unit shuts down and the programmed dry settings are no longer available.Overall this unit is frustrating and definitely not worth the very high price. I am very disappointed.

They work great, but in the beginning the dryer was making a horrible sound. Initially, customer service had me send a video, pictures, & serial & model numbers. I was told they would send a technician out. I told them we were moving. I didn’t hear from anyone for almost 4 weeks. I then get a text that they’ve shipped a new dryer. To my old address. Meanwhile, the dryer had quit making the noise, which I had let them know 3 weeks prior. Ridiculous.

The machine runs decent but will randomly get stuck on a cycle or just suddenly dump out all of the water. Knob is flimsy plastic and already broke on the dryer.

I bought the same washing machine 6 years ago and it worked very wellthis new model had no power cord with it and the dryer vent hole would not open upwe had to use a saw to open the dryer vent holehow can an expensive machine like this come without a power cord????disappointing !!

The washer is extremely small inside, I fit about a handful of clothes. Dryer is much larger. But overall they work great and fit in my camper closet perfectly. Very convenient.
