I thought this would be a good investment but I underestimated how great an idea it was. Before I even used it I laminated the chart (picture #1) and posted where I do all my grilling. It’s made it soooo much easier to prepare food the way people want it. The ONLY PROBLEM I’ve had with the tool is one time I must have pushed the F/C button and switched the device to Celsius mode by mistake. I couldn’t understand why the food was taking so long to reach the Fahrenheit temperature. That’s when I noticed the display was giving me a Celsius reading not a Fahrenheit reading. I quickly changed it back and sure enough the food was done luckily not too much more than I wanted. I keep the device in its original box (picture #2) on the shelf next to the chart. Needless to say, I use it every time I use the grill. My sister-in-law even used it to monitor the holiday turkey she cooked for us. I love it so much I just recently purchased a second backup device in case this one wears out.

I bought this thermometer after I lost the battery top to my old thermometer. I didn’t really think there would be much difference, but after getting this one, I changed my mind. I most often use this for my morning lattes. I like the milk I add to my espresso hot, but not scorched. So, getting the temp right is important. Like my last thermometer, this conveniently attaches to my espresso maker with a magnet, but this thermometer “wakes up” when I touch it. My old one didn’t. While this isn’t that big of deal, it is really helpful. Also, the display on this is easier to read and the whole product is easier to use. So, I appreciate this kitchen tool much more than my old one.

I’ve always wanted one of these but there was no way in hell I was going to pay $60 to $100. I bought this during the sale days in October for $14.99 and I’ve had to use it a dozen times already unfortunately with Chicago crazy weather and viruses coming along with it. You can exchange regular batteries versus button batteries. It’s accurate and simple to use. Put it close to your forehead and hold the button at the same time you will feel a vibration and poof you have your temperature displayed brightly. I’m so glad I purchased this. I forwarded the sale to three of my friends soon to be Grandma’s and they all purchased one. Not sure if accurate

I like the design of this thermometer. Ergonomic, easy to use, easy to read. Consistent readings for me (the instructions say how far away to hold it from your skin depending on where you are aiming.) I use my thumb and forefinger as a “spacer” to get consistent readings (pic) when taking my own temp or someone else’s from the forehead (just make sure your fingers are around the rim so you don’t interfere with either sensor.) Directions also say to keep sensors clean using only rubbing alcohol and a cotton wipe. Comes with batteries and they are the common AAA size unlike some other brands that make it easier to just junk the unit and buy another one instead of trying to find the correct battery size. Soft carrying bag with drawstring closure. Very pleased so far and will update review should my opinion change.

This device would be so much better if it has a magnetic backing so that you can stick it to almost any surface in a commercial kitchen.

I use this to make soap, and it has worked well for me for the three batches I’ve used it on. I haven’t had issues with my soap hardening too much as I’m pouring. The only thing I can ding this thermometer for is it takes quite a bit of time for the reading to settle down to what is presumably the correct temperature.

Easy to read and to use

I bought two forehead thermometers and with both, which had great reviews, I would get variable readings even when aiming at the same spot. I find this more “old school” thermometer to be much more reliable and no playing bookie from school by shooting until a “fever” arrives.

I use it to check for a temperature. I don’t like waiting several minutes to get a reading. These types of thermometers are now used in many doctors’ offices, so I am sure they are accurate enough.

This thermometer does read really fast so they are accurate there. Beeps when reading is done. I am not sure about accuracy since that is difficult to determine. But for a cheap digital thermometer, it does the job.The numbers are a little difficult to read, but that’s just because I’m older and find small numbers hard to read. For the price, it’s about what I expect. I bought one after my daughter in law bought one each for her, my son, and my granddaughter.

This actually works pretty well. Have tested it against more conventional thermometers and it is very close. It was within .2 degrees on my tests which didn’t affect the results. Don’t know how it can detect your temperature without touching but it does. It is very easy to use and in these Covid times is quite handy to have around. The reading is large, and color coded to let you know if there is a problem or not. Green is a go. Added bonus is that it is powered by two AAA batteries which are easy to change.

So i was wanting to read other reviews and had to laugh!!!So clearly people who are highly dissatisfied are using it wrong and/or using it on items where clearly states in the directions notto do even on other parts of the human body!This is a nice thermometer and to ensure accuracy USE A DIFFERENT MANUAL one to determine if it’s off… Not a big deal!& if you don’t like it, return it?anyways, i clearly like it, it’s fast and so far efficient

for mode switch to object mode, press mem button when it is powered off…no manual, how tricky.
