Thermometer screen is not back lit so I find hard to see and read the screen for when ok to insert thermometer to take temp and then to read the temp. The temperature readings are always higher than with infrared forehead thermometer so do not know which is most accurate. The thermometer probe is soft and comfortable to put under the tongue and processes temp in about 10 seconds so is fast and easy to wash probe afterwards.

I’ve always wanted one of these but there was no way in hell I was going to pay $60 to $100. I bought this during the sale days in October for $14.99 and I’ve had to use it a dozen times already unfortunately with Chicago crazy weather and viruses coming along with it. You can exchange regular batteries versus button batteries. It’s accurate and simple to use. Put it close to your forehead and hold the button at the same time you will feel a vibration and poof you have your temperature displayed brightly. I’m so glad I purchased this. I forwarded the sale to three of my friends soon to be Grandma’s and they all purchased one. I like the design of this thermometer. Ergonomic, easy to use, easy to read. Consistent readings for me (the instructions say how far away to hold it from your skin depending on where you are aiming.) I use my thumb and forefinger as a “spacer” to get consistent readings (pic) when taking my own temp or someone else’s from the forehead (just make sure your fingers are around the rim so you don’t interfere with either sensor.) Directions also say to keep sensors clean using only rubbing alcohol and a cotton wipe. Comes with batteries and they are the common AAA size unlike some other brands that make it easier to just junk the unit and buy another one instead of trying to find the correct battery size. Soft carrying bag with drawstring closure. Very pleased so far and will update review should my opinion change.

My husband spent some time in a nursing home. It had a similar thermometer for people to easily check their temperatures themselves. I bought one of these to have in my apartment, just in case…

I bought this thermometer so I would have a second one in the house. With the increased presence of COVID and flu and my regular interaction with my elder parents, I find that I take my temperature on a somewhat regular basis. And while I love the convenience the newest technologies like digital touchless thermometers offer, I recognize that technology can sometimes fail so I second guess the accuracy of the readings especially when it doesn’t match how I was feeling (I am of the age that I get hot flashes).This is a great digital thermometer that was super easy to use and gave quick results. In comparing readings between my two thermometers there was less that a .1 difference. And at the price point, it was well worth it to give me peace of mind that I am just hot and it isn’t a low grade fever signaling a start of an ailment that I could be passing on to my parents.

I bought two forehead thermometers and with both, which had great reviews, I would get variable readings even when aiming at the same spot. I find this more “old school” thermometer to be much more reliable and no playing bookie from school by shooting until a “fever” arrives.

I use it to check for a temperature. I don’t like waiting several minutes to get a reading. These types of thermometers are now used in many doctors’ offices, so I am sure they are accurate enough.

This was so easy to use and read. I really like that I don’t have to sanitize it after each use, very convenient.

This actually works pretty well. Have tested it against more conventional thermometers and it is very close. It was within .2 degrees on my tests which didn’t affect the results. Don’t know how it can detect your temperature without touching but it does. It is very easy to use and in these Covid times is quite handy to have around. The reading is large, and color coded to let you know if there is a problem or not. Green is a go. Added bonus is that it is powered by two AAA batteries which are easy to change.

So i was wanting to read other reviews and had to laugh!!!So clearly people who are highly dissatisfied are using it wrong and/or using it on items where clearly states in the directions notto do even on other parts of the human body!This is a nice thermometer and to ensure accuracy USE A DIFFERENT MANUAL one to determine if it’s off… Not a big deal!& if you don’t like it, return it?anyways, i clearly like it, it’s fast and so far efficient
