I had long been a sonicare user, but my last purchase lasted less than 2 years. Prior to that, I had one that lasted about 5 years. I felt like their priority in the user experience declined and didn’t want to invest any longer. So I started researching.Long story short, I am extremely happy with my purchase. I waited about 2 months to write this review. I noticed certain hard to get in places between my teeth got cleaned; stains disappearing, those spots even sonicare ones never cleaned, which I accepted as the best it got for the lack of knowing other alternatives. I am so glad I took the chance and switched to this product.Having said that, I cannot speak for the endurance of this toothbrush set yet as it’s only been about 2 months. But the quality of cleaning and effectiveness of the brush head I can certainly vouch for. Also it’s considerably lighter and slimmer than sonicare ones.i would recommend this product to anyone who are getting disappointed and disillusioned by very expensive, so-called high end electronic toothbrushes.Just as a reminder, this toothbrush comes with a USB charging base. i initially was hesitant about having to change from in-wall outlet. But I read and viewed what happens to most electronics that are near water/humidity over time, and decided to opt to the change. I keep it nearby my USB hub and it’s so thin and discreet, no issues. I would recommend the brush head to be taken off to ensure ventilation after each use, so the moisture between the handle and the brush head will get enough time to fully dry. I use shot glass filled with mouthwash for the head near the bathroom sink to sanitize the brush head, personally this has been a great way for me to ensure ventilation and prevent bacterial growth, but please do so at your discretion, it may not be for everyone.
I got gum problems my gum was recessing and it come to a degree of losing my teeths and the reason is whenever I stress out I was using all my force while brushing my teeths to just feel better and cleanerSo this device has pressure sensor so warn me whenever I go crazy also that vibrating rotational movement really help to make my gums healtier and stronger, really like the app and how it shows which areas I am brushing and I am pretty happy for spending that moneyJust use it couple times (bough recently) and feel like I just get a professional dentist clean also my colleagues noticed today my teeths are much whiterI dont usually write reviews but that product deserve it so thanks Oral B for making it that good and my only regret is not to buy it earlier
I’ve been using some of the cheap off brand electrics for several years & had been fairly satisfied, knowing they were somewhat disposable. But the first time I used this I could feel a huge difference. It has a much more substantial feel & noticeably more power. I haven’t used it long enough to give a truly meaningful evaluation but if it holds up & continues to impress, it was well worth stepping up from the generics. My only complaint is that the package arrived dusty, dirty & badly damaged. The product was intact but I honestly couldn’t tell if it had been opened. It was shipped in its flimsy retail packaging no cellophane, no shipping wrap of any type. In my original review I ranted about it having been shipped that way & included several photos. That review was rejected. So far, I recommend this toothbrush but suggest that you might want to purchase it locally of from a source that protectively packages it before sending it out their door.
I purchased this to replace and older model Philips Sonicare that went bad (after lasting a reasonably long time). Compared to my old one, this model is thinner and lighter, yet uses the same brush heads. This model features 2 brushing modes, and a pressure indicator. The default brushing feels kind of weak to me, but might be good for people with sensitivity or just switching from a manual toothbrush. I tend to brush hard, so the pressure indicator is both helpful and annoying at the same time. My teeth aren’t the straightest, and when I try to brush a tooth that is a bit recessed, I seem to have to make a choice between getting adequate brush contact and pacifying the sensor. The charger that came with my old brush was a single piece that had a charging stand and a permanently attached cord that plugged into an outlet. The charger included with this brush is a charging stand that connects to a USB charger via a standard USB cord. This design is good, but they cheaped out and didn’t include a USB charger (I think the cord was also not included, but I’m not certain). There was some disingenuous explanation about not wanting to generate extra waste since most people already have these, but the reality is it makes the brush an incomplete product as sold in order to save the company a buck on an inexplicably high priced toothbrush.
Nice packaging. But I don’t believe that these bristles are as strong as I’d like them to be. Stronger than those in the average toothbrush though.
This toothbrush gets my teeth very clean. It was recommended by my hygentist. There are a lot of settings so it was a little annoying at first, but now that I’m used to it, it’s fine. I don’t use the guided brushing all the time and sometimes the Bluetooth synch doesn’t work properly, but I’m not too concerned about that because my teeth always feel super clean. I tend to brush too hard, so I like that it alerts me when I am brushing to hard, this is a key feature for me. It’s a bit pricey, but I bought it on sale during Prime Day. This I like the dark purple color of it too.
I’ve been using an Oral-B electric toothbrushes for the past 15 years. My third model of Oral-B finally stopped working after 8 years. So, out of curiosity, I’ve decided to try this.Well, where to start. First, the vibration mode to too strong, and when brushing your bottom teeth, sometime the side of the toothbrush hits the upper teeth, and makes an annoying vibration grinding noise hitting your teeth. When I get close the my lips or gums, it starts to tickle. Also, the head of the tooth brush is smaller / narrower. I like the big heads I get for the Oral-B where the brush covers the whole tooth at once. I never checked yet, if they have bigger brush heads for this brand. But, since this is only day 2, I’ll keep using it for a month to get used to it.
For some reason every time I try to brush my teeth, I manage to shut the power off. The button doesn’t seem to be in a weird place but I’ve never done this with any other toothbrush, and this particular one I keep shutting off with my thumb. I don’t care for the settings, I don’t feel it cleaning my teeth as well as I could do with a manual brush. I had a different electric brush that I liked and it died. I just bought this one and was very disappointed. I wish I discovered my disappointment in the “window of return”. Alas, I am stuck with this forever now.UPDATE!!!! 11/19/22 I switched the 1 ⭐️ to 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s because the customer service is OUTSTANDING!!!!! They actually read my review, gave me a refund without my even requesting it and reached out to me to see if I wanted to try their upgraded product or get a different one. I’m pleasantly surprised and quite frankly shocked that companies like that still exist. They CARE!!! They want to make their products better by LISTENING to the customers. I couldn’t give a full 5 because it doesn’t change my opinion about how the product didn’t work for me, but the company itself would get 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️’s for sure if that were possible. 🤗
My dentist suggested an electric toothbrush. It took me a while to discover the MySmile Electric Toothbrush and am glad i tooknthe time to investigate the commemts and purchase it.My only negative comment is that it switches off or to another mode before i have finished. I realize this is duento the way I hold it, with a finger lightly on the switch. I try to avoid this but, oops!, do it again. That said, i still like the brushing action and appreciate the pauses, that is, reminders to move to the next quadrant. My dentist says it is making a big difference in my dental hygiene. Avoiding more perio treatment plans saves me $$$.The battery life is great and we have taken it on vacations without the charger.I also like the massage setting and use it frequently.
I used a Quip daily for several years, with a subscription to the replacement heads and batteries. Despite feeling like it didn’t clean as strongly as a plug-in type, I felt it was effective, and I enjoyed its compact size for my frequent travel.Unfortunately every few months it would quit working, even with a new battery. They cover repairs/replacement under warranty as long as you’re subscribing to the quarterly head and battery shipments. The problem was the inconvenience of actually getting the service. It requires several emails back and forth and each time you have to send photos and videos of the malfunctioning brush. I found it too time consuming to jump through all those hoops on average twice a year, so I found myself not using the brush half the time.I finally gave up and decided I want to use it only for travel. I bought a new one with no subscription since I wouldn’t be using it enough to need a new head or battery every 3 months. Hopefully this will work out. If not, I’ll be back to packing a bulky Oral-B electric plug-in for trips longer than a weekend. (I have very sensitive gums and can’t use a regular toothbrush for too many days.)
My husband found these and since he couldn’t find a toothbrush in the store that was soft enough for him, he ordered these to try. Works fine on tender gums.
Summed up: I like it. Good for the cost, does what it needs to do.Listed:Size is nice. Since it doesn’t have a docking station (like my last brush) it takes up a tiny bit of space on my counter.Brush size and firmness is good, too. I like a firmer brush, and this is more a medium hardness, but it’s still comfortable. I’ve a smaller mouth, so the small head fits great. Most electric brushes use those giant heads. I’m not practicing for a hot-dog eating contest, man, I just want to brush my teeth.Appearance, well, it’s a toothbrush? Looks fine. Kinda sleek. The many vibration settings are neat. Can’t actually speak to any difference in effectiveness between them, but as I have sensitive teeth and gums, the lowest setting is a godsend.Battery life is solid, so far. Used it for weeks without a charge. The timer helps stop me from brushing till I taste copper. All in all, it’s a good brush with nice mouthfeel, strong battery, plenty of fun settings, and is unobstrusive.Plus, cheap.Way better than using a branch to clean teeth.9/10.
And, they came in elegant, thin cardboard packaging, rather than the gaudy and impenetrable blister packs designed for supermarket hooks. (I have not rated durability, because I just got them.)
I like to keep one of my toothbrushes packed for travel so I used this one to be my daily brush. It is very nice, soft on your gums to avoid creating sensitive spots with gun erosion, and are good enough for getting plaque off.
The bamboo was starting to have black discoloration around the brush head after about a month, and the brush itself is really tall with the bamboo so it’s not very comfortable in the mouth. Next time I will try the plastic handle instead because the bristles themselves are great. Very soft. My kid much prefers this to the traditional brush (sensory needs)
I needed another electric toothbrush because my old Oral-B Vitality stopped working after 7 years of use, so I bought this new Oral-B iO Series 8 because of a special $80 discount. After a few uses, I’ve noticed that this new Series 8 is definitely quieter. The brush head is a little larger and wider as well, but other than that, the toothbrush itself is working fine. It cleans my teeth just as well as my old Vitality used to do. I haven’t bothered syncing it with their app; just using the Daily Clean function is enough. Also, it’s purely aesthetic, but I like how you can change the color of the LED light on the toothbrush handle. Time will tell if this new Series 8 lasts as long as my old Vitality, but for the moment, I’m happy with my purchase. I would only recommend buying it while it’s discounted though. The regular price is way too expensive.
+: Very strong..like I am pretty sure it made my teeth sensitive. Has 6 heads in case you are a family person or don’t want to think about a replacement for half a year.-: It’s always on charge and it always has 1 bar blinking.
I’ve been using the MySmile Electric Toothbrush for about a month now. It replaced a Philips SonicCare type when I ran out of heads and I found out how much they are now to replace. I decided on this one and I’m happy I did. I haven’t noticed any loss of cleaning power from using this one. But the MySmile feels better on my gums. They both seem to clean about the same. I will have to use it for a while longer before knowing this for sure. You get allot of bang for the buck and the replacement heads are a third of the price. I definitely recommend this electric toothbrush.
I really like this electric toothbrush. It makes brushing for two minutes pass so quickly which makes the “buzzing” alarm a priceless feature of this brush. It’s very lightweight and enjoyable to use. I like that there is a subscription replacement heads program which means I don’t have to make a trip to go searching for a new brushhead and that also means I’m changing the brush more often before it gets worn out. Even the toothpaste can be subscribed to. I’m just waiting to see the results of my next dental appointment, which I expect will earn praises from my dentist!
Originally purchased a Sonic brush from my dentist. Hope he got a good %. When it died, i decided to search with Amazon. I live in a rural town and do most of my shopping on the big A. As a Prime user it is the best in town . Like this purchase, i expect to get great service over and over again. So Far So Good
Was used to an electronic toothbrush, and wanted one to travel with a relatively easy to pack and has some battery life. Haven’t had it long enough to check battery life but so far so good for two week vacation. Will be using it for car trips, and other things, but easy to pack, and the battery is not lithium, but just a common“Everready”.
My teeth felt like they were being polished, define bristles were so gentle. Definitely worth the splurge.
I’m happy with using these toothbrushes when needed. Nothing can go wrong with a good simple toothbrush. I like the look, the feel and the bristles. My husband said it’s not very soft though so maybe that would be something to note.
I purchased a total of 10 tooth brushes for myself from Amazon this year, ranging in price from under $5 to over $60.I was unable to locate one that both made my mouth feel clean and truly cleaned my teeth between them. This toothbrush, which I purchased on sale for $50, truly cleans VERY effectively. I will be suggesting it because I have been extremely pleased with it so far. If you’re looking for a toothbrush, avoid buying cheap ones from Amazon because they’re cheap, terrible, and a waste of money. Get this one and spend a bit more, you’ll be happy in the long run.
I’ve been using it for a while, great product and good quantity so I can change my tooth brush each 2 months!
The colors are gorgeous, and the bristles are nice and soft, gentle on tooth enamel. They get my teeth very clean, so I’m completely satisfied. Oh, and the handle is so comfortable to hold…brilliant design!
I have been using Sonicare for many years and when my fancier model finally stopped charging, I decided to try the cheaper, one function, model. My previous one had several modes, but I never bothered using more than the basic one, so this one provides the same cleaning that I have used for years. THe battery is great. I have taken it on trips of at least 2 weeks and never had to use the charger. I won’t even bother taking it next time, I expect it might last as long as a month. As it gets older I expect the battery to hold less of a charge, but that will take years.
These are a very soft bristle. If standard toothbrushes hurt your teeth definitely give these a try. If you have texture issues, these could either be very good or very bad. It’s hard to describe, but it’s almost a squeaky feeling? I’m not sure if it’s just in my head, but I feel like I have to scrub more to get my teeth clean. That’s really my only downside.
Bought this style before and came back for more. They work great. Anyone saying they don’t is lying or has really bad tartar. These make my teeth so smooth and clean and they are so thorough along the gum line that it feels like I just got back from the dentist. Something about all those little bristles on a small little agile maneuverable brush just makes everything so much more squeaky clean. They are really great.
hard to find firm toothbrush in stores. very nice product
