I’ve got a 2001 Honda CR-V that is pretty beat up. I’ve restored the trim before with various products, which have always worked fairly well but fade again quickly. This time I invested in a bottle of Solution Finish and I’m very glad I did. I cleaned off my trim and then applied it pretty generously with a foam brush. I didn’t use enough for it to drip, but enough that it left a bit of visible liquid on top of the trip. I went around my car, let it soak in, and then wiped all of the remainder off of the trim. It seriously looks so much better, it’s crazy. Even the really sun-bleached spots are significantly darker, although they’re still lighter than the rest of the trim. It’s lasted at least a month easily without any noticeable fading, but I plan on doing another coat just to make sure the plastic has soaked up as much of this stuff as it can.I want to note, I accidentally got some of this stuff on the paint around the trim and didn’t notice it until after it was dry. I was able to wipe it off with just a dry towel and a little bit of hard work, and it didn’t seem to leave any sort of residue or affect the paint.

I have a Nissan Xterra that had faded trim and bumpers. I used some other products that just didn’t do the job. A friend mentioned Solution Finish so I gave it a shot to my amazement it really worked. Made all my trim and bumpers look like new.

I purchased this item because Scotty Kilmer told me to.The trim on my 06 Honda Civic was turning light grey and it really bothered me.I park my car outdoor and it endures all the elemental beatings (sun, wind, pollutant exposure, rain) that California has to offer.The first time I used this product, I immediately I saw a huge difference in the Trim’s tone.This product REALLY works… You don’t even need a lot of it! It’s easy to spread, just gotta be really careful.I highly recommend this product for those who want to darken up your vehicle trims.The only suggestion I have for this product is to change the packaging to something… else. The current packaging reminds me of salad dressing from Costco (the sesame balsamic dressing) and I did accidently drop this bottle during application, and MAN this thing stains the concrete.Other than that, this stuff REALLY WORKS.

Upon researching the topic, though, the Car Guys plastic restorer kept coming up as a top alternative for this issue, so I ordered it. I believed the reviewers who said that while it appears expensive compared to other items, it’s worth it. It turns out it really is.I found its application to be super easy and immediately beneficial. It just works great, and some weeks later, the car parts are holding their restored color. You also don’t use much at a time, so one bottle should last a long time when reapplication is needed.I seldom believe the hype about a product, figuring if it kind of works, that’s what you can expect. In this case, I really was surprised at how well the Car Guys have come up with something to fix what I thought wasn’t reparable. Good going, Car Guys!

I have been detailing my car for a very long time and this is the best I have ever used on black matte plastic, and it lasts a long time. I have an ’18 Mustang that has lots of black trim, this is the best and easiest to use, for larger areas like the rocker panels , spray and let it sit a minute or so and wipe in. And you have to go back and lightly buff, but it is awesome stuff.

It works but I need to apply them basically every time after the car wash but it makes the trim looks clean and new

This is a fantastic product! It did a good job in bringing my dashboard back to life while avoiding the typical greasy feel. As a matter of fact, the surface is touchable in a matter of minutes. I also want to mention that this works very well on plastics outside of the car. When I bought my truck as you can imagine the plastics were pretty dull with lots of lightness and trim color. Not only did it restore it but it left a brilliant shine that was touchable in a matter of minutes. So far we’ve had quite a bit of rain and it still looks great.I am so impressed by this product I actually bought 6 of them as backups. One was at a retail store, and the other four came from here. I highly recommend this product, especially if you are a discerning customer like I am. #1&2, is my car and truck

I own a Honda Element. I love it. I plan to keep it until the wheels fall off, because it is a musician’s dream car.Anyone who’s ever been in an Element knows there’s a LOT of plastic, and that living in a place like Texas (in my case) is rough on plastic. And Elements are now a minimum of 12 years old. Mine is 18 years old…and in great shape. But plastic is plastic, and both the exterior and some of the interior plastic has lost its original pristine finish.I’ve tried other stuff. Meh.But this stuff? It’s like a miracle. First, it’s thick. Not quite honey consistency, but that’s the general range. And it goes FAR.When you first apply it, you’ll notice it makes everything shiny, but that subsides over a few days and you’re left with DRAMATICALLY replenished finish. I used it on ALL of the exterior plastic body panels, dash, door panels…you name it…and barely used any of the bottle. And once a few days have passed it is absolutely not oily or sticky in any way–unlike the typical products of its type. It’s just as if the plastic has been made new again. Sorcery? Who knows?And it lasts!! How long? I ordered this in JULY and after four months everything STILL looks good.If you’re looking, just buy it. Great value, amazing results.
